      Most of these companies had a 20+ minute response, the alternative would have been a code 1 response and then if the fire rapidly advanced to the structures they were protecting they would not be anywhere close to the scene. The whole point of staging.

      @@demonracer2 believe me, I'm well versed in staging. Been doing it as well for 20 years. I'm all for staging, but just think there's more risk than reward in going code 3 to just go sit in the lot. There's such a thing as "upgrading response" when necessary. Why risk yourselves and the public screaming to a staging area? One intersection or one distracted driver is all it takes. My 2 cents.

      @@KENTROVERSY86fair enough, but driving with due regard will take care of that. I feel a forest fire in an area with a record breaking drought and an uncontrolled fire is worthy of a code 3 response but I can see your stance. I’ve seen code 3 responses for far less severe incidents
