I would advise that you style it first- hairspray it and fluff it up into the spikes that you want, since Hinata's hair is very fluffy- and then take scissors and cut upwards and diagonally to make it shorter. It's always easiest to cut wigs on someone else, so try to make a friend or family member wear it while you cut it so you can see how it looks.
