Hi Cecilia it is me Uncle Liew again. Wow a very scenic tour of Langkawi island. You brought me to see many natural scenic spots of langkawi which I have been to. I was there about 20 years ago. We went there with a group of friends and like you we rented a van to bring us around. The best I had there was a go-cart race and the duty free shopping. But the places you went was so natural and beautiful like the lighthouse, the waterfall and the tunnels are all so natural and scenic. The water crossing was exciting, need to be very careful when you cross swift flowing water. About three weeks ago i was on my way back from Temerloh in Pahang to Kuantan in the rain on the old truck road on my Ninja 650 after overtaking a long trailer, I hit a patch of water flowing across the road and it was quite deep luckily my bike held on and noting back happened and I guess I am not fast and my bike is heavy so no accident. So need to be very careful while riding anything can happen in a split of a second. Anyway you need to be careful always while riding on a bike. Hi Uncle Liew, does langkawi look the same after 20 years? I'm quite scare on water crossing cause I know how powerful the water flow can be. I volunteered for crisis relief and have witnessed how much damage water can bring. Never underestimate the flood or water flow that seems calm. This water crossing was really adventurous, without witnessing the locals doing that, and without the couple who went extra mile to help me, I wouldn't have done it all by myself. 😁
Yes don't try if nobody is around to show you how deep is the water. You are lucky the young couple is there to assist you haha. Don't worry good people like you will be blessed by the Lord. So happy riding for you to come and take care it is raining season again especially in in the East Coast where I am staying. It has been raining for a month everyday. So stay safe and bye.
So fast one year has passed. The previous monsoon I experienced feels just like yesterday. Still remember editing the videos of my ride to East Coast during the monsoon. Do stay and ride safe ya uncle Liew. 😊
