Looks sooooooooooooo good
Wow, I live 6 minutes away from there
I guess he just doesn’t give anything over an 8.2 anymore, makes it hard to gauge levels of greatness
Maybe he's more selective nowadays and doesn't post every place he goes? For not wanting to destroy a business
score is either 8.2 or 7.1 everyone knows the rules.
How in the world doesn't Dave know the original New Heaven tomato pie???!!!
In a New Haven-style pizzeria, a "plain" pizza is a crust, oregano, tomato sauce, and a little bit of grated pecorino romano cheese. A "plain" New Haven-style pizza may also be called a "tomato pie".
Good but low ball score, mid 8's if it were in New Haven, everyone knows the rules.
Everybody*
Pizza chef looking like an amused and bemused Shia LaBeouf. Doesn’t quite know what to make of this Dave fellow.
North, South, East or West... everyone is always trying to figure out Scott's talking. Everybody knows the rules.
Gotcha buddy
What a great review!!
Wow! I had a number in my head soon as I saw it - I was 8-2 and Dave didn't disappoint. Good consistency in how he rates a pie~New Haven is closer than Tx for me, but still outa reach LOL!
Damn that looks like a great pie~even the 'mater one at first.
Thanks Dave for investing the time on a re-order to keep it real for us. It was worth it for you, them and myself who I think probably some others.
Tip for ya "Fortunate Son" ~ better triple your typical order now for supplies, gonna be sold out for months with an 8-1. Not kidding, tried to work out a pie with a recent place (8-2) passing through, days in advance, and no can do man. Like getting Girl Scout cookies bitd, be a while. Business is coming!!! You'll be giving dates on a calendar for a pie, not a time today 🤣😂🤣
It's most definitely the original New Haven tomato pies. Just needs more grated cheese IMO
And what if the guy would have said, ight that’ll be $17.95 for the cheese.
Looking at the thumbnail, that's a bold, confident pie chef that leaves off the mootz. You gotta have game to pull that off.
Place had horrible customer service/business ethic. Waited in line to get in, once at the host stand only to find out they don’t do to go orders. Kind of ridiculous.
Guy didnt want a picture..now get lost,Dave..😂
He screamed flaming woke liberal to me. That's why
@@jasonspain1466 What does Dave scream?
@@jasonspain1466absolutely…definitely has pronouns in his bio and swings both ways
@@Edizzle15 Keep those troglodyte comments coming.
"ugh! Chef not give respect to Dave! Me smash chef!"
@@JamesEvans2023 A person who knows better than to interject identity politics in pizza reviews.
honestly love how the worker didn't interrupt you when you were judging. simply sat there and wasn't trying to convince you otherwise like some people do on these reviews.
I really want to try place now!
edit: idk if he was a worker or the owner but solid work
I’m the chef dude. But thanks for saying that.
Dave forgot they make tomato pies in New Heaven. That pizza in New Heaven would be 8.9 minimum... this guy fell of so hard.
Dave forgot it has greated cheese. 😅 Have you ever noticed that he says grated cheese isn't his style. I can't be the only one to have noticed that he doesn't know that grated cheese is in New Haven style. He doesn't know tomato pie is the original New Haven either. 😂
Everybody knows the rules, Dave doesn’t know the original tomato pie IS New Haven style
It's such a fine line from super crisp to burnt. He left this one in just a little too long.
“This passes mustard” 😂
