Dawntrail sure does keep giving some really interesting lorebits, eh? xD Also there's just so much happening from this point on that its INSANE, this expansion is *NUTS*!
2:00 And here the expansion takes a 90% left turn in a direction on one say coming. 19:50 I'm not crying, you're crying. 26:40 Reminds me of the last time we reassured her we'd stick with her, under far less tragic conditions.
Been looking forward to seeing you guys react to this Krile moment since I got to it in my own MSQ journey. I'm not a huge Krile fan unless I'm watching you guys do MSQ. 🤣 Not that I dislike Krile, I just don't feel strongly about her unless I'm watching you guys play because of how infectious the affection you guys have for her is. It's fun to get to enjoy MSQ vicariously through the parts you both enjoy, so thank you again for putting in the time and effort to record and edit these! Now if only syncing cutscenes was easier to achieve in-game, I can imagine that must get annoying for you two every now and again. 😅
11:50 The duel thing ticked me off so badly, especially when it became obvious that he wasn't going to abide the spirit of the duel. But our character stands there like a gormless tool, this was probably the moment that ripped me out of the MSQ, or at the very least the straw that broke the camels back. Still, even with that the post battle cutscene with Wuk was evocative. However I just couldn't really care about the villains from that point, and it could have been avoided if they had given our characters something to do... fighting mooks, having to navigate some environmental hazards, anything other than standing there. On people not liking Wuk, I can understand it from a VA perspective on some of the dialog delivery where it kind of falls flat and on her kind of oppressive Naruto-esque shounen optimism and not giving the WoL space. But despite all that I still liked her character. But hating her for the VAs IRL characteristics is beyond dumb.
The "first" duel, pre-resurrection, was fine I thought, since it's an honorable duel between a father and his son, and zoral ja was never close to being as strong as his father. The second bit where he resurrects I imagine happens really fast and people were still shocked as to what happened as it wasnt as obvious as it is to us players watching, that's why nobody helped, at least that's what I think.
Even tolerance has its limits sometimes, Zoraal Ja was unwilling to the very end to compromise and move ahead with his ambition regardless of who has to die, he only ever though about him self, Heck even Bakool Ja wasnt that selfish (wont go into details so not to spoil for anyone still new), from the very beginning of his life he hated the situation he was born into, motives while VERY misguided where nobler and near the end wanted a better way to deal with the situation he was going through.
I think people just didn't like how much this expansion shoves Wuk Lamat down your throat from beginning to end. I can understand why she didn't even make it in the JP poll of the Top 10 favorite characters in DT. IIRC she was 11th.
From a consumer's standpoint, it makes sense to expect your character to be at the very least the narrative focus of a story-heavy game that the player has spent years of emotional and financial investment in. It's no mystery why many players feel disrespected, considering they and the Scions- who have been through so much with you- have become a footnote in a grand journey of a character with unremarkable skill or accomplishment, other than plot. You guys are yet to experience the peak hated Wuk Lamat moment by many, but maybe you'll think otherwise.
@@robikkupegasus7039Same, I'm not even done with the MSQ yet and I've been loving it overall. Some of Lamaty'i's voice direction wasn't the best at times (this isn't on the VA but the director of cutscenes and dialogue) and some of the lines suffer because of that, but I feel like people are overall really vitriolic. I feel the same attachment to my own character absolutely, but I typically am not an MMO player, and I have actually enjoyed being more of a side character this time considering I barely emote and don't have many dialogue options to begin with. I don't know, I think overall a lot of players are a bit unreasonably upset that their self insert character isn't the absolute center of the story for one single time. Thats just my take.
@Cobrak Sorry for commenting about a different MMO than the video but I just wanted to ask if you've read about the PvP change Blizzard made in WoW because I instantly thought this is something you'd like.. They made it so that when you get the deserter debuff (solo shuffle or battleground blitz) it's no longer character specific but instead ACCOUNT WIDE..!!! I know you said their account should be deleted if they leave SS before it's done but hey maybe this is the next best thing! 😅
@@Cobrak Nice. Not sure how warlocks fare with other classes yet but I have a gut feeling there's some buffs still that need to happen. Like for PvP especially..maybe for Cbolt. The buffs we got so far were quite moderate except Shadowburn (80%). It all comes down to how the OTHER classes are.. Time is running fast..will have to hope for the best 😬

How does it feel, knowing one of your favorite characters isn't even Source-born?
28:10 The paradox of tolerance.

Knowing what's going to happen, it's fun to see your expectations of what's going to happen....so far how are you feeling about the expansion/story?
When Are you going to Do MSQ Livestream , Cobrak ?
NUMPKIN!

Krile is Isekai Protagonist?
