@@BTB3DI am using Cinema 4d 2023.1.3 using Cinema since version R19 and so on I remember Softbody had these options like angular damping, force fields, stiffness etc where are these settings in the newer version?
Hey, thank you so much for your tutorials. Really appreciated! I have a question, in the new 2023 the Collision Tolerance is gone and no matter what settings I fiddle with in the scene/simulation tab, I always have huge distance between the two objects. Thanks in advance!
It sounds like it might be a scene scale issue. You probably have already tried this but in project settings-simulation-scene, try adjusting the scene scale smaller
@@BTB3D Hey, thank you for your answer! Unfortunately it did not solve my problem. Maybe I`ll give it another try someday. Right now I‘m watching all your redshift videos, they are really really great. So thanks for that as well!
You are very welcome. Reversing a simulation can be as easy as time reversing it in after effects after you render it, or baking it out as an alembic and then reversing it once you import it.
i have problem with simulations in the new version when i make a bed with a blanket and a pillow i cant make both (blanket and pillow) i can only make one of them because i cant delete the tags as the last version. can you pleases help me with this.
So cool, thank you! I see the old Bullet Soft body is still present... so, besides speed which is much greater now, does this new Simulation/Soft Body behave differently from the old Bullet Soft Body?
what i though, the "vertex map painted with linear field" is not parent to your sphere, so when simulation begin, ball falls and the vertex map still remain at the " linear field" area. Thats why doesnt makes changes instead of increasing the segment. Btw great video ! Thanks.
hey! i was having the same issue.. and i noticed if you uncheck the 'use deformed points' option in the Vertex Tag, it seems to have the right impact..
There are too few subscribers for such an amazing master!
your videos are invaluable! thanks for making & sharing great content on a regular basis, it's much appreciated
I appreciate that!
These are the classes I need, Thanks, Sir!
You are very welcome!
awesome video, you are helping me a lot with the new dynamics
Glad to hear it!
thanx for tuto. which parameter keeps the shape after first hit. i dont want jiggle.
Bendiness/Strechiness/Softness would be what I would start with.
Where are the damping, friction, stiffness etc options for softbody
Sounds like you might be using an older version of C4d.

They added a new dynamics system so the properties have changed.
@@BTB3D so the above mention options are not available anymore? Or I'm just looking into the wrong direction
Appreciate your videos, always very informative easy learn from
Thank you for the kind words!

Thank you for your inssight. Can you do a video about reversing the dynamic animation?

It's good that Maxon essentially took hints from XP (and Houdini) and is moving their sims to particles based.

You can right click and choose current state to object.

I haven't done any side by side comparisons, but simple results seem to be faster and look similar.
Amazing.
How can we export soft body dynamics into unity? thanks for your help
I am honestly not sure as I don't use Unity.
