- David returned into the game with arguably one of the biggest targets on his back. Somehow, he was able to make strong connections, find idols and he absolutely dominated this season. Congrats to the sole survivor, golden god, David.

I still don't understand how on earth the others let him get to the end. One of the best winners in international Survivor history! Actually, pretty much the only good (awesome) thing about an otherwise boring season. This season should be called Survivor All David.

I have been watching Survivor since Season 2 The Outback ... and for me .. David is the greatest Survivor player I have seen. I would like to see the Worlds best Survivor players up against each other and for David to represent Australia.

The reason people forgot true 1st Australian Survivor season is coz it was on channel 9. Then true 2nd was Celebrity Survivor on Network 7 in '06 won by ironman Guy Leech.
Sadly very 1st original winner ex-AFL player Rob Dickson tragically died aged 45 in a car accident holidaying in S.A in '09. 1st 2 attempts were scrapped coz poor ratings but soaring at CH10. Just FYI. Bring Leechy back imo ✌🏽🙂

I’d say he’s in the running for greatest player in all of Survivor history. I mean, the Aussie game is much more difficult and yet he put on his winning performance after already playing in a grueling season just before it. And he absolutely dominated a bunch of really capable players. Wasn’t like Boston Rob’s win, which was dominate because he was playing with people who weren’t really that good.

Him and Tony are the GOATs. They both excelled at every single aspect of the game and, on top of that, are also extremely entertaining and great characters. It doesn’t get much better than that
Now if only Luke could win, haven't actually seen a full season from him because I'm from the US, but he seems like a Tony player, he just needed a Spencer type play at the final 4 when he got voted out, someone with a bigger target on their back.
I love the Survivor game and David has to be the BEST player Australian Survivor has ever seen. He is so on to it, so smart, startegic, funny! and on top of that handsome. He really made this season appealling to watch

I only watched US and AU version of survivor. But David is one of the best players if not the best. I also enjoyed Mo's gameplay this season, if David was not to win she was the next best option.
I was really rooting for Mo for a long time, I felt like she was playing such a good game after the swap... but I just can't support that she went along with Dave for so long and her social game (relationships with other people) was lacklustre too.
Agreed! I've watched all of US, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. And I think he's the best player since Boston Rob and Sandra. He's amazing at the strategic, social, and physical aspects.
Wow okay didn’t expect that but I do have to agree from what ive seen, which is clearly not as much as you. He dominated all aspects of the game unlike most players currently who are either social or strategic, and only 1 or 2 people are purely physically strong and GOOD at the challenges - for example, Brooke from survivor all stars aus was a little bit social being able to pull shonnee and harry in, but not strategic whatsoever, but so good at the endurance immunity challenges. Haven’t seen someone as well rounded in an age, or really ever because Sandra couldn’t do challenges and Boston Rob was bad at social AND jury management.
@@dancasey7 Good point. David is a lot like Boston Rob in terms of finding advantages, competing, and strategy. Except he also has emotional intelligence and is like-able.
I think saying David is the best survivor to ever play is very justifiable. And definitely the best rounded
Yup I’d love to see him play again and see how he could adapt when versing other massive threats like they’re doing at winners at war right now, where Boston rob couldn’t adapt because I think David could.
Although I always had a feeling that Dave would go far, especially when getting those two idols, the moment that solidified it for me was when he was able to convince Zach to get voted out and go to Exile. Zach never mentioned volunteering one bit until David brought it up, and then Zach didn’t shut up about it. I really didn’t like him in his last season and only wanted him to do well since Luke was with him, but he made this season really entertaining and you had to admit that he made All Stars one of the most thrilling seasons in Australian Survivor.
All Stars was definitely one of the worst seasons of Australian Survivor. David was the only good/entertaining thing about it but he aligned himself with boring sheep players who never made a move against him and it just sucked to watch overall. Nobody actually tried to go against him except for the minority tribe, and even then no-one in his original alliance would budge. It was kind of frustrating as a viewer
People that actually enjoyed this season must have NO idea how good editing works. To say he wasn’t the obvious winner from episode 1 is incorrect

David was so entertaining, loved how he articulated his feelings especially the "everyone wants to dance with Davie" soliloqui, hilarious! But he also had heart, tremendous physical might and courage, finely tuned manipulative skills, and played as though he was an underdog so he was able to get the viewer onside. Whilst I didn't enjoy Phoebe's humiliating blindside, I was still left wondering why he didn't place the fake idol in the termite mound to humiliate her even more. A very complex character, very enjoyable to watch.

Arguably the greatest performance in Survivor history. David’s situational awareness was awe inspiring. He always had his finger on the pulse of the game. In a season where he was impressive in every aspect, I think it was that awareness that I found most impressive.
Bruh for real. I remember the confessional after Sharn took like 4 years to vote and he says after voting:
“Well we learned sharn can’t be trusted”

@@jacksonia7724 Yup. Makes me want to go watch this season for a 3rd time. I’ve watched every season of American survivor multiple times and have watched numerous seasons from abroad. Only person who I think could give David’s situational awareness a run for it’s money is Tony Vlachos. But yeah, David is like if the survivor gods got together and dreamed up the ideal Survivor player. Dude’s a model, is charming as all hell, can compete physically with the best of them and is a brilliant strategist. He checks all the boxes. And the way he corrected his mistakes from his first season was amazing.

I still can't get over the daisy blindside. I don't know everything about the US survivor but surely that had to be one of the most intricate blindsided ever.
1. David the leader of the majority of Vakama and Mat the leader of the Minority decide to make a secret alliance to benefit each other.
2. Both plan to have David tell Mat who the votes are going for so that he can use his idol to protect that person, Jacqui, which also benefits David as the idol is then no longer a threat to him.
3. The minority and David plan to pin their votes on Daisy and vote her out as revenge for David, even though mat didn't really wanted to vote her out, but David still convinced him.
3. Then Brooke found an idol, and David and Mat along with the rest of the Minority work to act cold towards David, making it seem like they are going to vote for him, and David plants the seed that he thinks one of the Minority has an idol too and are going to use it on one of them, (either Mo or Mat himself, can't remember) and vote David out.
4. At tribal council, Mat plays the idol for Jacqui, negating the majoritys votes, and David acts paniced and the rest continue to fake target David, convincing Brooke to play it for him
5. David then acts shocked that Daisy got voted out and from then on goes to not spend much time with Mat to avoid suspicion and keep himself safe.
I dunno about you but that's pretty amazing to me

It was definitely a great move by Dave since it accomplished three things:
1. Both idols are out of the game
2. He got his revenge on Daisy
3. Solidified his serect alliance with Mat
That move was freaking awesome. I only watch US survivor but I checked out the two seasons David played and he’s got to be top 3-5 survivor players period, regardless of whether it’s the US or Australian version

You know you are an absolute badass when you have your own theme music lol. I loved David and Mo this season, it’s just a shame they didn’t vote out Jacqui in the 1st vote so David and Jeri could have played together. I thought it was pretty interesting how similar the edits for Luke in CvC and David here were, then boiling down to needing that final 4 immunity win, but unlike Luke, Dave pulls it out, Bc he didn’t need to go on an immunity run.
Nah David has made his profile on taking out the other big players/snakes in the game; Steven, Andy, Harry, Nick, Jeri, Shaun, and Mo
@@j.a.hernandez9742 You say that like 1) Luke didn’t target high profile players, which he did, I mean he personally led the plans to blindside 3/4ths of the people who voted out David, 2 of whom were serious contenders to win the game. And 2) Wasn’t involved/planned half the votes you mentioned, Shaun, Steven, Andy, etc. Both Luke and David became the obvious front runners of their season, the only difference was that David actually won the final 4 and 3 immunity challenges.
@@alexjames4770 1 Luke be friended Dave before he even became the Golden God. 2 David was literally the person that was pushing for all those names to be voted. All three of the ones u jus named were all his literal rivals challenging his position in the game. 3 Jeri wasn't in Dave's alliance nd was prolly the biggest social threat in the entire game so it wouldn't make sense to align wit him not to mention Dave likes to work with big strategic threats, Luke, Janine, MO, Matt, etc so it rlly wouldn't of made too much sense to befriend a literal social snake.

And in Champions v Contenders 2, maybe David pushed for those votes, but there’s a big difference between wanting someone voted out, and getting someone voted out. Luke is the one that flipped Abi and Ross, and then later Luke was the one that flipped John and Daisy. And I wasn’t saying that David should have or would have allied with Jericho, just that it would have been cool to see both of Luke’s ride or dies working together. I mean, when you break it down, if the 5 current Australian Survivor seasons, 3 of the winners were close allies of Luke, and they won 3 seasons in a row, the bloodline of his alliance is unparalleled.
I have been binge watching Survivor and David is by far the best player I have seen. I also prefer the Australian version, only not keen on rule that idol can be passed on when voted out.

Why would anyone vote for him - I don't get it. He betrayed "his brother" Tarzan. He stole idol from Phoebs. He was vindictive in his votes - giving others the full right to be vindictive at the end.
I know it's game. To me he's neither likeable nor a good player. If it wasn't all directed it would be bizzare why no one voted him out because his "likable" like they voted out Jerry or a player like Matt, or physical threat. Let's get rid of cookie monster over a cookie jar but not "last time he went home with an idol in his pocket, why don't we send him home with two idols in his pocket". No one from his original allience get to the final. Young took him as theirs despite he's 40 and he brought old dudes with him. Well, at least that spider had no inhibitions and "kicked" his ass, so I've heard because the bad effects of it are not clear in the show at all. All in all the jury had little to choose between because that barrister/politician was a no go too. Producers could've made Brook the winner and Dave the big looser.
Absolutely legendary performance, pure domination from start to finish. Played a near-perfect game and even had a trick or two up his sleeve that he didn't need to play (fake idol). One of the GOAT players across any season
David is for me best player I have ever seen in survivor. I love tony, but I think dave made even better strategies. That daisy vote was best tribal on survivor, period. I mean flash 2 idols, get revenge, have support of whole tribe if swap happen. It was incredible to see such a gameplayer win whole game. Especially in australian survivor, people there are so ruthless, with so many days and final 2.

The way Dave played last season to this season was completely different. Last season we grew to dislike Dave. This season we grew to cheering him home. Unbelievable game. Showed heart and determination for his wife and kids. Never give up!!!!

Yo fun fact, my teacher for my media class used to be best friends with this dude. Apparently he acts pretty much exactly the same off screen LMFAO. Also fun fact: he started his modelling career by jokingly signing up for 'search for a supermodel'. He was actually a really quiet and shy guy so it was pretty surprising when he ended up actually winning the show. Also he used to play basketball. OH and he apparently used to also love playing pranks. He and my teacher used to play pranks on his nieces all the time lmao (also, no Im not making this up and ik my teacher was being legit too, she even showed us a photo)
