    Hey Everyone
This video dives into the topic of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). I will teach you how to perform structured (face) CFD meshing and simulation of an aircraft wing airfoil, with deployed flap s and slats. These simulations are typically performed to evaluate an aircraft wing's performance during takeoff and landing, as flaps / slats are deployed. These control surfaces increase the amount of lift (and corresponding drag) that the wing produces.
We will use SolidWorks as the primary CAD software, however other CAD packages such as CATIA, NX and Autodesk can also be used. The simulation will be performed in ANSYS Fluent.
The topics covered in this video include
    1) Airfoil Geometry
    2) Solidworks sketching and surface creation
    3) ANSYS: Face Splitting, Face Meshing, Importing Geometry, CFD, Turbulence, Meshing, Mesh Sizing

Your orthogonal quality would be terrible with all your skewed elements, plus no inflation layer on the aerofoils as well

    Hey man,
Great video first of all. I wanted to ask if you were familiar with morphing wings that are used in aircrafts. I was trying to do a moving mesh with the geometry changes. Do you have any idea what would be the ideal way to do it?

Your videos are so great sir!
Im doing some cfd for f1 wings, and Im facing some troubles
I have a 3 elements wing, but I don't know how to calculate the planform area
Should I adjust all the 3 elements to zero AoA, then taking the planform area?
Or should I consider all the 3 elements as 1 indivisual wing and then taking the planform area?
And if I did the second choice, should the equvalent wing be in zero AoA or what??
    Please let me know

    Hi everyone,
I need help with my meshing of wing. I use inflation layers, but they aren´t continuous. And moreover, as you can see on the pic., some layers are bigger than rest.
On the picture where are the layers continuous I use different wing without any twist, etc.
Is here anyone, who can help please?
