2019 Airstream 22' RV Sport "Bambi"

This is the Bambi 22 foot sport. The original Bambi was the 16 foot model and First introduced in 1961 to allow people with smaller vehicles with limited towing capacity the capability to enjoy the RV lifestyle. Airstream has continued the Bambi tradition making it a worldwide favorite for over 50 years. The slightly larger 22 foot comes with some extra amenities. It is 7 feet 3inches wide, 21 fee 8 inches long and 9 foot 3 inches tall and only weighs 3,600 pounds with only a 422 pound hitch weight.
The 2 20lb propane tanks are encased in an attractive matching aluminum LP cover. Deep cycle Battery with multi-stage converter, exterior Lp Quick connect, 3m stone guard protection, pre-wired solar panel easy connection and Front Solar rock guard window protection. A handy storage compartment is to the front campside for easy retrieval of your outdoor accessories.
The Heavy duty aluminum entry door is custom handcrafted and more akin to an airplane door than your typical camper. It takes 8 hours of hand crafted manufacturing, over 150 rivets, many welds, solid aluminum hinges and eight bolts to create that famous bank-vault-like seal.
The sport has Goodyear Tires and stylized aluminum wheels, Torsion Axle suspension and the maximum trailer capacity is 4,500 pounds. The Awning is a simple to use manual Zipdee with weather max fabric. There is a handy outdoor electrical outlet set campside just to the rear of the door.
The tail-lights are LED and accented with a 4” round chrome bezel. There is also a rear monitoring system to allow you to see behind you while traveling or to assist in backing up.
Curb side -
Your shore power and cable hook are at curbside rear and are covered with heavy hinged caps. Your waste water consists of a 24 gallon grey and 18 gallon black tank and is accessed from the rear of the tire; The City water hook up and black tank flush are conveniently located just above. The outside shower is also located rear curbside . The fresh water tank is secured by a locked access door and holds 20 gallons.
Inside -
The floors are seamless vinyl through out the RV, they are extremely durable and easy to clean.
The walls and ceiling are an interior aluminum skin with ECOBAT insulation between the exterior and interior. The AC is 13,500BTU with integrated heat strip so you can stay warm on chilly days without reducing your LP supply; however you also have a 12,000 BTU ducted furnace when you need it.
The bed has a 54”x78 with a pillow top memory foam mattress - quilted bedspread with reverse sham - sleeping pillows and decorative throw pillows. Blackout curtains for the panoramic windows and a privacy curtain. The front window is the large double cam latching system - easy to open and adjust.
The dinette is a heavy-duty laminate top with comfortable ultraleather cushioned seating and is set up in the popular U-shaped design and will quickly convert into a 38”x75 inch guest bed.
The galley has a full height storage cabinet, overhead storage with Tambour Doors, The Large overhead roll up storage cabinets include JVC stereo with Bluetooth, cd and DVD with integrated phone mic - you can talk hands free when you are in your RV.
The faucets are made by Moen - the side by side deep stainless steel sinks make clean up easy - the sink cover allows for extra counter top space and double as cutting boards. The cook top is a 2 burner that uses LP Gas - is covered with a flat glass top to provide extra counterspace when not in use. Directly below the stove you will find the traditional Propane oven replaced by an upgraded large convection microwave oven. The refrigerator is a Dometic 4.2 cubic feet with 3 way operation - it runs from propane, electric or battery power. The LG led hd tv wall mounted on a swing arm just above the refrigerator - center cabin so it can be viewed from nearly anywhere you decide to relax.
The 22 foot sport comes with a surprisingly large bathroom for such a small camper. It is conveniently located to the rear of the cabin next to the entry door. The vanity top runs along the back wall and includes lots of storage. The large back window allows plenty of natural light. It has a stand up shower porcelain toilet, Lavy sink and moen faucet. It is one of the most popular bathroom designs in the airstream line-up.
