Great pod. I had the same question a few years ago. The old raft that came with the boat had seen better days so replaced it for a 4 man as we have crew on occasions. Yes way too heavy. This year as i have the old one which was 20+ years old and no service date on it id vive it a go. A easy sharp pull and boom... all good and no issues.... so are we paying too much every 3 years is my question.... not because safety matters we all know that but are over servicing good gear thats not broken every 3 years?
Love the pod casts "the shed" 😅
Indeed. I just bought a 4-man Viking liferaft. Weighs a ton and cost a fortune. But with family onboard I had to.
