    FSG, Great Vids always as usual. I just wanted to add that I believe the reason in this video the tractor didn’t look like it was centered on the course line, is because the field is on a hill. The hill makes the tractor lean, so it looks like it is not under the center. I’ve had issues with this and Vehicle Control on No Man’s land on the edge plots that are on distinct slopes.

    When baling straw, you can manually find the start of the up and down rows to begin with as a workaround to avoid headland bake. Then go back and bale the headland last, still following the CP close

    A great guide, I've used both methods and I tend to forget about making the mower start on the up-down rows. really does help with avoiding the bales on the headlands and a great guide! I didn't know about the copy/paste feature with courseplay either! Gonna be using that for sure!

    The idea of using the combine or windrower course was not new to me (used the technique in FS15/17 previously) but I was totally unaware of the copy/paste function in the Courseplay HUD, and that made me glad I watched on into the video!

    Just create 2 courses with the combine at the beginning. Create a course that starts in the center, save it, and clear the course, then without moving the combine (so the field position will be in the same spot) create a course that starts with the headlands. Use the center first course for the baler. The only change you make between the two courses is headland or center first.

    Great video FSG I least I did something right with course play which makes a change great how to video as always, you could always put a bail pusher on the front of the tractor, that might work for moving the bails that are in the way👏👏👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    Thanks for taking the time & effort to put these tutorials together, they are a massive help! 👏👏
    One question/problem I have is how do you make sure the field you are working in is recognised by courseplay when you want to setup a worker to unload the combine? I keep getting the error of area is not a field when trying this. Could it be the modded map or the way I am setting it up?

    • @TheFarmSimGuy
      @TheFarmSimGuy  Месяц назад

      Glad you are finding them helpful, yes usually an error like that is down to field definitions not being done properly in the map, or field edges overlapping which can cause course play to get confused

  • @davedbaveda
    @davedbaveda 8 месяцев назад

    If you don't want to save the course, the other option is to simply copy it from the combine to the baler.
    On some balers which hold onto completed bales until the current one drops, courseplay can complain about blocked objects when it is reversing as it is picking up the bale on the baler as an obsticle.

  • @MrBuyerman
    @MrBuyerman 8 месяцев назад

    One other point, but can be a hassle to set up, you can use the offset option to go left or right of the course. This would allow the baler ro collect on swathes dropping left or right, or even having an autobaler with an offser pick up.

  • @Guser0

    Everyday is a school day :) I'm using CP in FS22 for about a year now, but I didn't know that straw swath can be deactivated for the headlands. Those bales annoyed me every time :) Thanks The FarmSim Guy!!!

  • @glenjones6980

    Note that in the example shown with the wide header and swath dropping the combine is effectively a 13.5m wide windrower. Not sure if it's a courseplay or autodrive feature but as a follow up a demo of bale wrapping would make a worthwhile upload too as many are probably unaware it's possible to do that process.

    • @pegasusted2504
      @pegasusted2504 8 месяцев назад

      Well you could use the same course as the baler which would allow the wrapper to find the bales. However there is a much easier way to achieve this. When you have a baler wrapper, or bale collector, as the implement the CP hud at the bottom will show a different set up. Then if the vehicle is on the filed in question if you just hit the play/start icon it use inbuilt ai to detect the closest bale to it and automatically drives to it and does the job all by itself. You don't actually need a course or do any set up in any way. It is all automatic.

  • @Nathr5600
    @Nathr5600 4 месяца назад +1

    Great video. I wonder if, using offset to the centre line, you could then use the auto bailer on the same course to pick them all up?

    • @TheFarmSimGuy
      @TheFarmSimGuy  4 месяца назад

      You absolutely could do that yes

  • @Oldcranky1
    @Oldcranky1 8 месяцев назад +1

    FSG the only thing I'd add is the implement settings in course play, change the lift implement to late, and change lower implement to early then the baler will pick up them small bits its missing on the corners.

    FSG, I always enjoy your content, I was curious if you know the answer to this inquiry: Courseplay has a tough time designing jobs where the fields are not symmetrical and/or irregular. Is there a way to record you own path while you dou the work and save the path for later AI use. I remember doing this with older versions of Farming Simulator and Course play, I believe it was FS15. I know about the field creator recording option and was wondering if there is a way to implement that into a recording course. Or is there some other mod that performs this function?

    • @TheFarmSimGuy
      @TheFarmSimGuy  8 месяцев назад

      I've never had an issue with courseplay struggling with irregular fields, the only time Courseplay struggles for me is if there are very narrow strips as part of a field. You can create your own field boundaries though, I'll put a video out on it 👍

  • @pegasusted2504
    @pegasusted2504 8 месяцев назад +1

    Going by what you have shown it seems you do extra steps when they aren't needed. When you cut the first bit in the combine to set the course up you clicked on the name of the vehicle, ie axial flow, in the CP hud at the bottom, then clicked up in the list on the right to get to the cp screen then clicked on open course generator to actually start selecting the options for your course. Instead of doing all those extra steps if you click lower down on the cp hud by clicking on "no course" it takes you directly to the screen selecting the options so you skip out all the intervening steps. This is because when you click the vehicle name you are taken to the vehicle options screen of CP. As for any potential bales being in the way this won't be an issue if you have a tractor with trailer/bale collector, running around behind the baler using the same CP course and just offset it by 3M, left is best if going clockwise, or by using the "follow me" mod with the same offset. As for using a windrower and it not working right, again just set the baler with the offset and this stop that issue. When wanting to use a course on a different vehicle, let say you have done other jobs in the meantime so you haven't got the copy course choice, if you go into the screen where you save the course click on the course and then you hit load course then activate and that will load up the course you want for whatever vehicle you are working with. As I explain down in the comments concerning using a wrapper and collector after doing the baling, if you don't use a combo baler/wrapper - Well you could use the same course as the baler which would allow the wrapper to find the bales. However there is a much easier way to achieve this. When you have a bale wrapper, or bale collector as the implement/tool on your vehicle the CP hud at the bottom will show a different set up. Then if the vehicle is on the field in question if you just hit the play/start icon it uses an inbuilt ai to detect the closest bale to it and drives to it and does the job all by itself. You don't actually need a course or do any set up in any way. It is all automatic.

    What would be very useful if there was a CP ‘feature’ that allowed you to bale the middle of the field first and go back and finish with the headland, so you don’t get caught up on the headland and bales.

    If you put the harvester/mower on sharp turns, it does the stop and reverse, so the baler has a better go of things

  • @vicomt

    Don't know if anyone knows of this, whether it's a bug or not, but when I create courses, and another vehicle is already creating a course, if you start the course before saving it, focus tends to switch to the other vehicle, and you end up saving the wrong course. Always check the course name (at the top of the course menu) before saving ;)

    • @TheFarmSimGuy
      @TheFarmSimGuy  8 месяцев назад

      Interesting, I’ve not experienced that, do you mean if you set up two courses at the same time in two separate vehicles?
