Even as a vegan this question is difficult to answer because you can go further and ask how many plants and the bugs that live in them are worth an animal or human life....i dont even kill bugs and spiders are like butterflies to me
...bro... do you purposely trap and kill bacteria? do you go to the bbq with bacteria and bugs and put them on the grill?.. like... this is such a redundant statement... we gotta walk before we run.. this is a gradual process of awakening... lets focus on what we are intentionally doing and how we can save lives, and then look deeper.. imagine how much traction we'd lose if we said "save the bacteria!".... come on dude... we know that as we harvest, things die, this is because we do it on such a massive scale.. we obviously need to get back to community farms, and backyard farms n stuff... but we are so disconnected from nature right now, that it seems an impossibility for someone to feed themselves as opposed to a store... This is not a hard question to answer... we dont brand, maim, torture, poke and prod, test, kidnap, molest bacteria and bugs bro... and you see that dude the bystander that commented and said "evil vegans?" THATS their mindset from eating so much dead flesh... his first go to was to insult you... because he knows that consuming innocent beings in these numbers is not ok.. and its harmful and wrong... so the only way he can acknowledge it is by casting it onto someone else (you and me and other vegans in this case).. flesh and dairy foods are known to elevate anger and cause temper problems thats a fact... i just ignore those dim souls. look.. the point is to be as ethical in this world as you possibly can before exiting it. I hate to think of the so called livestock used for meat slaughter who never get to roam free. I know people say they "love their dogs" but I would never cage or leash a being that i claim to love. It truly is deep. I know that other commentor is obviously dis-eased. When I ate meat I was anxious, timid, and depressed, I used to cry for what I thought was no reason. Until a human stops consuming animal flesh and blood they will continue to be dis-eased. I never thought of domesticated dogs as slaves or animals that are being slaughtered as genocide until I became vegan. Peace
I feel like it has all started with the animls and to free the animals will be the last step in evolution. I don´t think that it is bad to compare in order to wake the peole up who are constantly in denial or not even aware of their actions. The comparison is not about being more worse or less. It´s about what we have in common: the will to life.

hey brother thats such a loaded question ill have to do a nice long video for that, im writing down all the points so its concise.. the one thing about pets, is that they are here,, we cant kill them all to save them all, and we cant own them all to save them all.. so just like cattle farming, and chicken farms etc, the pet industry will need a slow gradual decline.. wanting to care for an animal is not wrong. its the pet industry that hides its evils which perpetuate the sentiment that owning pets is good and that they are more special than cows pigs etc, when in fact pigs have higher IQ than some dogs! showing love and compassion to ALL animals is the key. thanks for adding to this discussion! much love and RASPEKT!
I'll give you this, everyone should slow down on meat. Salt and sugar. These two are the big deal. And animals are not that sentient. That's why we keep them as pets lol. Think about it. Animals are very valuable. I haven't drank cows milk in ages. Btw I hate those who kill for sport.
