The bobby pin freckle idea is so good! I had freckles as a child and to bring them back I would use a face paint stippling sponge, but I haven't had luck finding them lately. I will definitely be trying this!

Tip for anyone who wants to create faux freckles- use a thinly pointed eyebrow pencil. It creates a nice natural look and doesn't budge!
