Hi Chris! Great video, so refreshing to see the various aspects of the speciality. I’d like to know if two years of IMT training is sufficient to apply for dermatology speciality training? During the interview and short listing process, are candidates with whole three years of IMT preferred over those who ended with two years of IMT. Kindly could you opine on this.
I’m glad you enjoyed the video 😊 It doesn’t matter how long you spend doing IMT as IMT mainly focuses on general medical rotations. I think if Dermatology is something you truly want, you might want to consider taking time out to do a fellowship in the specialty, rather than doing the 3rd year of IMT. This is because you will get more experience doing Dermatology which will be good for interviews! 😊
There isn't a specific time to practise aesthetics. We are not really taught this in our Dermatology curriculum in the UK so you will need to go to courses to learn more.
@@praveenagaddam5783 that’s a good question! We don’t typically remove them in the NHS as they are non-worrying lesions but would often refer to the surgeons if they keep getting infected/ inflamed!
Loved that you discussed many cases with us and would love to hear more about the bread and butter of dermatology and even the more complex cases
I love your native accent, mixed with that tint of Scottish haha
Thanks! 😂
Goood day! homie~omg~ top edition-=)

@@theskinmedic Alright, thanks so much! Could you suggest some fellowship programs available?
@@chaitranaidu4962 I don’t really have recommendations as they are all pretty good! Have a look at NHS Jobs to see what is available. 😊
When can you practice aesthetics in dermatology.?
