Awesome device! I think it would be much faster without the acrylic panel in the back. Round bars are among the easiest things to use for a cover. Still very impressed with how well it works and it looks like a lot of fun.
The electric motor seems to have a rev limiter on it because of its former application, I would certainly dig into removing that feature. Secondly the clear plastic grate at the output of your thruster is going to heavily restrict your thrust under water was well, causing the propeller to have to work against itself, I suggest putting some wires across the output area like you did with the intake and removing the clear plastic grate, this will make the unit much more efficient and increase the thrust, therefore speed. Also look into perhaps 3d Printing a toroidal propeller and then use it as a mold to pour molten aluminium & make your own propeller which will increase your thrust and require less power to do it, increasing the efficiency of your water scooter. Also, it looks like you might also be fighting with the buoyancy of the scooter, so you might want to add a little bit more weight to the interior of the scooter to make it a little closer to neutral buoyancy but put the weight in a strategic spot so the unit will stay in the proper orientation for easy use.Just be careful not to make it sink, because you'll still want it to float for ease of retrieval if you happen to get separated from it, ad lastly add a kill switch to it, so if for whatever reason, the thrust lever becomes jammed into full throttle and you are forced to let go, the kill switch, if pulled out, will stop the unit dead, because the kill switch hey should be mounted to your body physically, just like a surface jest ski or other personal watercraft. Now all you need to make is a rebreather so you can stay under water for much longer periods than you could even with air tanks! Great build, keep up the fantastic ideas my dude!
Kill switch is an excellent idea, ask how I know... Mine quit, I parked it at the bottom an achor chain and continued the dive. As I came back to the area, I heard some sound...it had started again without input and luckily it was wedged against the chain, or it would have been lost somewhere in the lake.
Love the build. Something I have been playing around with in my mind is building a seabike. A submersible with a hydrofoil that can also blast on the surface. I think it would be super cool but I can't quite get the courage to start.
Simply fantastic, my friend! Perfect, I lack words to describe how amazed I was! And these images of the bottom of the sea are breathtaking!!! CONGRATULATIONS
You guys should have one out of three episodes, titled as "Scrap Challenge" and make weird and cool things out of scrap. There's... limitless potential.
WoW! You sir are so talented. Thoroughly enjoyed watching you go above and beyond to make this Sea Scooter. what a buzz you must have had not only making such a device but also being able to use it, That water looked so good. Thank You for the video. Look forward to the next project for sure !
How can there be so much talent in one guy? This is bananas. You should build an RC airplane next. Build a big RC plane. I think you already have a radio control from your RC boat project.
That's what I thought too. The only thing making me question that is @ 26:08 you can see his wetsuit moving from the turbulence coming off the blade. That little hoverboard motor is definitely underpowered. I'm willing to bet he's kicking his feet so that motor doesn't give up the ghost before they were done shooting the video.
To be fair, the inside of that thing has got loads of room. Upgrading to a better motor and battery as well as adding lighting wouldn’t be a stretch. The theme was ‘recycled components’, after all.
How the hell is there not a discovery show on this man? I thought I was industrious. I’m trash compared to this fellow. Just in awe of the creative ways in which he has employs his skills on the metal lathe.
My dad made one of these in the 90s with a battery powered ceiling fan we bought at a farmers market. We had to cut the blades down a little bit, then sealing the electronics in a metal box, making handles for it, and making a switch for it was easy. Good times at the lake. Scared our mom to death with the six 6v batteries in water.
Excellent! I think get a larger prop and a reduction unit externally, which would give more power to move more water, rather than the inefficient smaller high speed prop. Beautiful shop and area to live. I think the acrylic prop guard is reducing a lot of thrust also.
The seaglide will increase your effective exploration range. For your safety please pack supplies for long journeys, and always stay within 5km of the nearest lifepod or habitat.
RinG FlinGer! 15:48 Haha! Ok, don’t know how I have missed seeing this channel but your great man! Amazing skills! Perfect exposure to each step! Love it!
Absolutely beautiful work. But you might find the seal for the motor section leaks on you. They use a special seal. Which you can find is used in pool pumps, spas and water pumps. Just a 411. Which in my country is the number you dial for information. keep up the good work ☺️. You can increase the speed by increasing the voltage going to the motor. But be careful doing that as you can cause excess heat and a meltdown. Do a little research on this I believe you can put a large resistor to help mitigate some of that.
Great build, I thought that acrylic panel on the rear would be to much of a restriction on the water flow and it seems to only survived the first scene in the water before being removed
Add a cheap dive computer to it which will show max depth. Once you get it moving faster you'll likely forget to check very often while exploring and it would be something you could look at to jog your memory as you surface. Oh yeah, holster for the harpoon gun.
Pierścień simmera nie może pracować na sucho bez oleju. Pozdrawiam, w próżni pomiędzy pierścieniami powinno być trochę oleju. The simmer ring cannot run dry without oil. Best regards 😎 There should be some oil in the vacuum between the rings 🙃
Me lembro de quando vi um destes no seriado Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.... Eu era moleque e fiquei aficionado com esse sea scooter.... Hoje, já velho, vou fazer um inspirado no que Make it Extreme fez !!!! 😉
the hoverboard motor is meant for low speed high torque you need high speed low torque my recommendation is to rewind the motor from wye to delta your performance will jump by a significant amount you do amazing work rewinding motors may seem daunting but I have no doubt you can do it

Where is the fish life? Sea looked dead. No fish and no seaweeds.
Makes me miss Cyprus so much. Love you builds.
Waw for real great job ..
Well done guy 😁

Great job!! 👍😁

Thank you! 😁
Always nice to see one of my favorite channels, on one of my favorite channels-makes for a genuine smile.
Very nice! But you forgot 2 things... 1, Lights, one forward and one straight down, in case your presence disturbs silt, and 2, a gopro mount!
and a variable pitch prop
And a mount for a coffee cup. Thanks 🐸 there's always someone extremely smart who doesn't build anything, but can provide valuable advice.
Where I dive, we also need direction indicator lights and mirrors. Not speaking of the helmet.
@@cambouiscom Don't know why bother putting direction indicators on, no one uses them
One lcd and safety airbags

Look at 25:51 and you can see that the plate are gone ;)
@@Hackert88 Ah, well spotted! Thanks for mentioning. I think they also concluded themselves that the acrylic screen was inefficient! :)

He did not reuse the motor controller from the hoverboard, it's a generic bldc controller.
bro you forgot the battery, creepvine lubricant, copper wine and the titanium.
-subnautica fan
I know how much work it is. I made my first one 15 years ago and modernised it 4 years ago.
Nice job!
bro really made his own sea glide from subnautica, very cool project.

sure doing a LOT of swimming. Doesnt seem to have much thrust.
I’m gonna make a wild guess here and say that the plexiglass behind the propellor probably reduces the thrust by roughly 69%.

Great job as always.

Not sure how I feel about the laser cut acrylic screen. Might have missed out on a bit of performance there. Hoping for an update on it!
safety first, but yeah, it's gonna destroy performance -- not by a small margin, either! (You can see it was removed during testing, too!)
It should be a mesh where the wires are really thin, or sheet metal that guides the water.
This acrylic disc is stopping all the thrust.

The plate at the end is restricting the water from moving. You have to choose a wider mash.

I wish bro could kind of make it a little bit faster it’s cool in my opinion
Just because you could doesn't mean you should!
Nice job.
Remove that piece of clear plexiglas, and you will double the speed.. Its a huge breake of the water flow..
👍👌👏
Bravo projet super 😎
Mmm, looks like you're fighting the boyancy of the scooter. You should add some led as a ballast, or maybe reduce the air in in.
How did you make it neutrally buoyant, and find he center of buoyancy, trial and error? What is the performance like. I always enjoy your projects
ilovethis❤
Awesome
