This just sort of came about because I heard this song in the car and because some of nikolina's scenes screamed copypasted darklina just in a slightly different font I'm sorry 🤭 I love both though and this isn't a diss to Nikolai in any way!

I 100% believe that nickoli is what the darkling was like when he was yonger, his age and loss changed him so much. Nicholi also got out of is toxic families hold and I think the darkling would have grown up to be a better person in the later half of his hundreds of years of age if he had gotten away from bagrah because having bagrah for a mom tramatized him and is keeping his brain in a state of fight or flight. she literally said "i taught you how to be cruel not compassion" the only little bit of accountability she shows and then has the gall to say "know that i loved you... know that it wasnt enough". Children copy what they see and its why i still 100% blame bagrah and not the darkling for all of it.
