This movie is such an enigma...it isn't all that great a movie yet it is filled with some amazing and memorable moments..."Hello, How Are You", "Kelly Vs. The Cop", "Kelly and his Dad Scenes" and the Goosebump inducing scene of "Let Them Play."
I totally agree bro!….it’s timeless….when I played little league in the 80’s and high school ball in the 90’s I quoted all the lines from this film…..some got it some thought I made it up…but what tears me up ..still….is when Kelly runs towards the Astrodome and they play that classical piece…..that love of the game that Kelly had is what some of us felt too…the smell of the fresh cut grass at the diamond on Saturday mornings……the crack of the bat sound…watching old black and white throwback games with grandpappy and him describing how he saw Babe Ruth back in NY and how everyone would stop everything and stand up to watch the greatest knock one out and run around the bases with his little deer legs and waving at everyone….he told me that Mickey Mantle crack of the bat was so loud along his sound he made from his mouth when he knock them out of the park…500 ft or so…how the Babe brought so much joy to the Great Depression poor cities in NY …..bringing the poor and wealthy together….spreading hope….he talked about the 60’s and then Regis Jackson bringing it all back to NY by hitting 3 homers in one very important game in late 70’s….then watching the bash brothers in 1987 and of course the magic was once again in front of him as our family moved to Los Angeles in 1982 and watching Kirk Gibson hitting the greatest homer in the history of baseball ⚾️….saying that he was simultaneously seeing the ghost of Babe Ruth in Kirk Gibson…..🥹……..it’s 🪄 magic bro…..magic
@@thegiftedone Thank you for responding...yes, this movie just "feels good" overall...kind of like Ferris Bueller...a young kids dream to be free...and I already mentioned..."Let Them Play"...
I know this is just a movie, but how dare that whole team lied to their parents tellin' 'em they had a coach and didn't, then after gettin' dropped off, all the parents fell for that old slow man knowin' he really don't drive a van made like that. Next thing you know all the parents would find out and all those little liars would punished big time! Shame on all of 'em!!

Inauguration Day. lol
Look at all those parents just not interested in watching their kids play
What a brilliant scheme. Wish I could've pulled this off back in the day.
Well its being pulled off in the white house now.
Always LOVED that Car Raheem's Dad was driving.
Ole sleepy Joe.
