Our Full Storybook Dining Experience At Disney's Wilderness Lodge! | Disney Dining Food Review

- In today's vlog we head to Disney's Wilderness Lodge to have dinner at the new Storybook Dining at Artist Point. I wanted to apologize for all of the background noise in this vid, I think we were near water feature in the lobby and the mic was picking that up and the restaurant itself was just a little loud so we're sorry about that, we'll come prepared with better mics in the next one for sure! We started our meal with shared appetizers, we really liked the Hunter's Pie. Then we had our main courses, we tried the veal shank and the prime rib. We also met Dopey, Grumpy and Snow White during dinner. We talked with them for a while and had a chance to take pictures with all of them as well. We really felt like the interactions were awesome, they all took their time with us and it didn't feel rushed at all. Some characters came by the tables multiple times. Then we had our shared mini desserts, gooseberry pie, layered cake and the poison apple. Our fav was the gooseberry pie, the layered cake was reallllllly sweet and the poison apple was a creamy apple custard covered in edible glitter, it was so pretty! We talked about the meal as a whole and then went back in to meet the Queen, she was awesome! We really loved meeting all of the characters, but the food was definitely hit and miss. We want to try it again as some point so we can try other entrees though, so be on the lookout for that. We hope you enjoyed joining us at Storybook Dining for dinner! I spend more time than i care to admit watching your videos. I hope to find someone as obsessed with theme parks (mainly disney) as I am some day. Every time Jen gets emotional when watching parades or anything it makes me happy knowing I’m not the only one 😂😂 thanks for your awesome videos and spending so much of your time to show everyone all of these things. Going to Disney world in June, too excited!
You aren’t alone. There are a ton of us goofy, emotional Disney fans all over the world. I watch the Trackers every morning while I drink my tea. So much better than the news!
I love Theme Parks. It’s literally childhood. Although I wish I can go to Disney world or even Disneyland as much they do. But I’m definitely obsessed with them!

As a former restaurant manager, I would never want a guest to not eat their meal because they didn't like it. Please request another entree when this happens. Disney would immediately replace the meal with something you'd prefer. I see this on RUclips videos/ reviews all the time. How can the restaurant fix the problem if the guests don't say anything? If they get enough complaints about an item, they will be forced to adjust the recipe/ quality. It's not rude to say something. After all, you're paying $55 for this.
Kevin Reid I think there’s a misconception about not liking a meal and ‘complaining’ about it so that can fix it or replace it. So people just eat it as is, even if they don’t like it.
You’re absolutely right though. Disney is of a ‘different breed’ and would fix whatever is wrong. 😊
Just about any restaurant meal is editable. And yeah, I can imagine sending back an over-cooked steak -- especially if I were eating alone. But if there were 3 other people in my party, I would probably just pick at it and enjoy the conversation.
Also...
The whole shoe-horning of character dining into this signature restaurant just seems odd. Yeah, it might be nice to take a fun photo with a character or two on the way out -- like they do at Be Our Guest, but... Most would agree that announcing character arrivals every 10-minutes during a dinner service is not necessary.
As a frequent Disney Goer and Orlando resident, I can tell you that the Artist's Point is one of the best restaurants on property that I've ever eaten at. For Jen to "not eat" any of her entrée is a little over the top. I would have asked for something else and they would have brought it out straight away if a person thought it was THAT bad. This is not a hit or miss restaurant. And the Tim Tracker VLOG is not a great place for food critique IMHO. Also, family's especially are always asking for more character dining as it's enjoyable for the whole family. Disney is family first, couple second in most of its restaurants. You need to know that going in. By the difficulty in getting reservations, clearly Disney is listening to public requests for more character dining at their Deluxe resorts. AKL only has a "Dining with Animal Specialists", but no character dining.So all-in-all, this is one of a few Tim Tracker VLOGS that will get a thumbs down from me.

You guys are so great! I stumbled upon your channel last week and have subscribed and been binge watching ever since! I’ve recently moved from the U.S. to Spain and have a 5 year old son. We’ve never been to Disney or any of the other theme parks (epcot etc) but will now consider visiting next time we are back in the states and/or if we ever visit Paris. I think the reason why watching these events and having and urge to go to them is how whimsical Tim and Jen make them. At the end of the day, it's all about being in a certain state of mind.

Thank you so much for sharing your Disney lives with all of us. Your videos helped to guide my husband and I through my 60th birthday celebration last December. It was a magical trip, just two adults who were as excited as kids in the parks. As we were traveling via Disney bus to our resort, I struck up a conversation with a younger family and their daughter. As soon as the name “Tim Tracker” was mentioned, the entire back of the bus was talking about both you and Jenn. Thank you for your honesty and your passion and love for Disney. Headed back to Wilderness Lodge in August with sons, daughter-in-law, and grandkids.

My husband and I did the Bon Voyage Breakfast with Ariel, Eric, Rapunzel, and Flynn at Trattoria al Forno, and it was beyond lovely! Doesn't hurt that they're my two favorite princesses, too! The food was also very yummy!
Another fantastic character meal is at Garden Grill in The Land at Epcot. ❤️
Both of these are smaller, table service restaurants, so you don't have to worry about giant crowds or missing a character by being up at the buffet. The characters also can come around multiple times because it's not so huge.

OMG!! The Wilderness Lodge is our home resort for both our DVCs. We were just there at Boulder Ridge Villas and loved it. We stay at Copper Creek in May and November. We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge tons of times before buying our DVCs. Thanks for such wonderful videos. We haven’t tried the Storybook Dining yet. We could see the lights in the trees changing colors from the ramp down to Roaring Forks. We love watching Tim eat things. 😊👍🏻❤️

Gooseberry pie, gooseberry jam, gooseberry fool - all classics in the U.K. Ive always called them goozgoggs. Character announcements are made at Cinderella royal table, rapunzals breakfast and the beast is announced at be our guest.
It's actually not the only dining that does something fun when the characters come out! You guys should do the Bon Voyage breakfast for example on the boardwalk!!! The food is unique to any breakfast food on property and delicious, and you get spectacular interaction with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider & Ariel and Prince Eric.

The chicken was sooooooo good! It had this delicious sauce like a sweet and savory white wine cream sauce and served over delicious brussel sprouts and small roasted potatoes

We were lucky enough to get a reservation while we were there in January. We loved it! We did find that the constant action was a lot, but it didn’t feel distracting. My favorite appetizer was the squash bisque. I got the prime rib, and it was very fatty, but it wasn’t bad. My favorite part of the entree was the Yorkshire pudding. I could have eaten a plate of that. My fiancé got the gnocchi and loved it. If we’re fortunate enough to go back for another visit that’s the entree I’d get. The gooseberry pie was my favorite dessert, and the layered cake my least favorite. We also found the final dessert presentation interesting, and felt it was slightly disjointed, though we understood why they wanted to include it.
I just love Wilderness Lodge, it is my favorite Disney resort but so expensive to stay there. That Storybook Dining looked like so much fun but I don't know if it is worth the price. As usual Jenn you look so beautiful. I love when Tim and Jenn are in the vidoes together. Thanks for all you both do, love ya ❤

OMG this place is soooo cute!! I love all the character interactions especially Dopey he was so fun! The deserts looked like they would be my favorite part of the meal and you guys really looked like you were having so much fun really enjoying everything and so happy ! I'd love to eat there one day!
my mother and i did the Cinderella character diner at the Grand Floridian back in November, even though we had a reservation at 9 pm we ended up waiting an hour for our table, the plus side it was fun meeting Cinderella, her prince, her step mother and step sisters, the food and drinks where delicious for a buffet fair and not once did we feel rushed.
I really Hope I can go here with my sister one day. She is the only other adult I know who would love it to bits. I love character dining more than my children!

If you are in the parks on your birthday, make sure to speak up and let the cast members know. When I turned 12, a cast member saw a "It's my birthday." button that disney gave me and had the entire monorail station sing happy birthday. They always try to do something for you.

I’ve tried 1900’s parks faire for dinner and it’s really nice with Cinderella, the stepmother, stepsisters, and Prince Charming they also announce when everyone is coming out & you take a picture with the glass slipper.
The Queen was awesome! Have to say she resembled Regina (Evil Queen) from Once Upon A Time. Looked like a lot of fun!

Being in our mid 60's....we love U guys....well maybe only Jen...I have only been to WDW 15 times but my wife has been to Storybook and has had the chicken and loved it...I spent 27 years in the Military and can eat about anything but don't really care for over-smoked food so I may steer away from the Prime Rib (which I normally love)...thanks guys....you are so cute together

Yeah we were in a Tim Tracker video! We were there that night as well, we were the ones who said hi. The experience was fun but we also felt the food could use some work. My wife and mother-in-law liked the prime rib, father-in-law got the chicken and said it was a little dry. I got the snapper but if it didn't have all the extra add-ins I felt it would have been dry too. The desserts were really good though, I agree about the gooseberry pie, yum! Appetizers were ok too, yes the bisque did have a bite to it. The hunters pies were kinda wierd though. The drinks we're cool, I got the smoking mirror but the smoke smell was almost overpowering.

Yes I will be keeping it a secret until we get there. I ordered shirts and magic bands my youngest child was too young to remember he’s 5 now so this is going to be awesome
Tina Anderson that’s exciting! I order my Disney images, even custom made ones on Etsy for about $2 or $3, have it sent to my email and print them on iron on paper to iron the image on the shirts myself. It saves me a ton!
gissneric oh yes! Most definitely, doing the fastpasses - I believe 30 days / 60 days in advance, and reserving dining is important!
Also, download the Disney app! Download it and get the ‘hang’ of it at home so you’re not ‘clueless’ on it at the park. It saves me time and helps me get to one attraction to the next without the hassle of getting lost. Also, you can do your fastpasses right from the app - no need to find a kiosk.
Get the app - it’s phenomenal, I use it on all my Disney trips. 😊🙌🏽

Hello Tim and Jen I love your videos!! The heart the huntsman brings back to his queen was supposed to Snow White's, but he had a change of heart and killed a deer instead and gave it to the queen. What a lot of people forget in this day and age is that fairy tales were not meant for children. The tales were gathered by minstrels and travelers and they would exchange these stories for food and lodging. When these tales were being told way back when, there was no tv, internet, or even books, and even if there were books, the common person was illiterate. So these stories were told to adults and children alike, for entertainment at the end of a long work day. Thanks again for all the fun videos.
