Brilliant! I learnt this on my own studying the patterns of high and low pressure systems in mid latitudes... But this here give my knowledge a more standard structure, filling in all the blanks within my understanding. I didn't even know these waves had a name☺️.. Additionally I have noticed that the chances of rain on Indian southern Peninsular region is higher on those days when : 1) there is a High pressure system exactly below it on the southern hemisphere and 2) there is phase difference between the two subtropical rossby waves. I have also noticed how these waves control the motion of cyclones... Initially it 🤯😁
How do we know the effect of Rossby wave in the troppause by using temperature data and how can I take the wave number at a given this temperature data?
Very interesting and very well explained. 👍 Suddenly I realize how little I know about waves.

Thank you very much!
