Salk Institute to expand its campus, using lessons learned from its original buildings

The Salk Institute in La Jolla is raising money for a new building. It will be the second expansion of its campus since the institute’s founding in the early 1960s. The original Salk Institute is an icon of modern architecture. KPBS Science and Technology reporter Thomas Fudge tells us how its design has stood up as a place to do research.
