Yeah...I'm actually a teenager, who obsesses over lots of oldies, and I've just started in on Six Mill (and Lee Majors) so I've only watched a handful of episodes...but this morning I watched the first Six Mill episodes about her, "The Bionic Woman" (both parts) and I'm in the middle of "The Return of The Bionic Woman" right now, and then I'll go on to see some of the others...like "Welcome Home, Jamie" etc... wow, the first one is SO SO SAD!!! I was crying through a whole lot of it!! Thanks!!!!
I remember the first time I saw the episode "The Bionic Woman" when I was a kid. I cried when she died. Glad to see Steve and Jaimie finally got their happy ending.
I was a kid too and it affected me the same way. That episode was the most heartbreaking of the Six Million Dollar Man series, it left everyone emotional who watched it. It was so tragic to see Steve find his true love and perfect match, even to being bionic and then lose her. Their love story touched everyone so much that they had to bring Jamie back from the dead and give her a show of her own. The fact that Steve waited 20 years,was always her best friend and never lost hope through it all makes their wedding and happy ending so satisfying

I have the box sets of both shows. This may sound silly but on the part 2 of the bionic woman where Steve cries when Jaime dies still brings me to tears (even after I know she comes back later on I still cry,) I guess it's because Lee & Lindsay did that scene so well you can't help but cry, lol

It was a wonderfully executed-on-all-levels, alternate TV "Love Story" --which is what producers were going for, only they didn't expect the upset child audiences would DEMAND the Bionic Woman come back to soften the sad ending with another 2-parter. The stellar ratings on her return led to giving Wagner her own series.

I have just finished watching 'Bionic Ever After' having discovered the movie for the first time on YT yesterday (can not believe I never knew about it when I own every episode and movie of both). Anyway watching this clip made for a really nice conclusion. The perfect 'full-circle' closure . Thank you.
I am so happy Lee didn't use his influence to get Farrah (his wife at the time) cast as the Bionic Woman. Probably the only reason it didn't happen was because she'd already guest starred on his show twice at that point as two different characters! Nothing against Farrah may she rest in peace. I just can't picture anyone else besides Lindsay in that role. She has always been Jaime Sommers and always will be 💘

Wow...that's actually very cool how it all worked out!! I read on the bionic wikia page that they created the character with the intention of killing her off at the end of the episode, but I'd imagine the utter pandemonium it caused when on a show where the main characters are virtually indestructible to have one of the bionic agents killed!! (and to have Steve SO shaken by it)...it's nice that they revived her and she got her own show, too! It's still sad though, that she didn't remember him...
At first I was afraid I would cringe over the video being cheesy but after watching I think it is perfect. I loved the editing and the music was good. Your video had a lot of emotion and heart, in my opinion more so than the reunion films did. Great job!

Start with second season SMDM where Jaime was first introduced. 3rd season brought her back to life, and then Bionic Woman started her own series in 1976. (All available on DVD) Couple crossover eps, but love story didn't really continue until the reunion movies in the 80s and 90s.
Whoa! That was an historic moment as it happened when "The Six Million Dollar Man" has the ever-popular two-part episode title: THE BIONIC WOMAN back in the Spring of 1975. In January 1976, they've got a spin-off entitled: "The Bionic Woman." I wonder if there's a possibility of the upcoming brand new version with the BIONIC MAN and the rest of the upcoming team within the next year or so?

thanks to all the uploaders of videos about either Steve or Jaime! Can someone answer a couple questions? 1) why did "The Bionic Woman" go from ABC to NBC (as did "Wonder Woman", from ABC to CBS)? What is involved with that - like the producer owning the rights rather than the network? Can a show still do that today? 2) some time ago I saw a great video on youtube where Jaime was trapped in some type of cell. She was crying and hysterical, saying "I'M Jamie Summers!" and her bionics were failing as she tried to break out of this cell. They even altered the sound effect to mimic failing electronics of the bionics. Lindsay I think won some award (Oscar?) for that. Does anyone know if that was from the series, or a special post-series TV movie? I can't find that video and I'd really love to see that episode or movie. Thanks for any help!

The show and ratings suffered on both counts, and NBC chose to cancel it at the end of the 3rd season.

Charlie's Angels was better. Because they had real strength. True they never had true loves. Bionic couple is not a reality. No disrespect to Lee Majors or Lindsay Wagner. When my mother told me Jaime had died i grew gloomy.I could not stand her death. My relief came when The bionic woman was released in 1977.

Charlie's Angels was better. Because they had real strength. True they never had true loves. Bionic couple is not a reality. No disrespect to Lee Majors or Lindsay Wagner. But I prefer Hart to Hart Robert Wagner and Stephanie Powers. Superhuman strength is not realistic with a couple people, make believe. Call me a hater I don't care. oh...that's a little bit more clear...I guess....I haven't seen really any of the "crossover" episodes (except for Return of Bigfoot, which I'm watching now) aside from clips, so i wasn't really sure what all happened to her...In fact, i didn't even know she died! What happened there!?
