Raiders Of The Lost Ark - Map Scenes widescreen vs fullscreen Comparison

A quick comparison between the original widescreen 2.35:1 map scenes, and the cropped 4:3 version that was prepared for home video and tv broadcasts.

I googled and found this because the 2:35:1 version is on cable right now, I felt like I was missing just a little bit off the top of the screen despite gaining all the stuff in the sides.... and I was right! Look at the shot of the island. Whats going on? I'm certain the tip of the island didn't touch the matte in the theater.

Widescreen is better, but I like it in (2.35:1), I don’t like the Blu-Ray color also.
