This was AWESOME!!! I have frustrated myself TRING to find the stamps, die cuts, glitters, accessories, and EVERYTHING that has to do with stamping and crafting, for YEARS......and YOU have just "SET ME FREE!!!" It may take me a while to get oragnized, but.......I can't thank you enough for this post!! GIRL!!!! I'm ONMY WAY!!!!! You JUST DON'T KNOW what you have done for me!!! xoxo!!!!!! :) :)
I am a newbie to crafting. I have so much to learn lol. I got two huge boxes of all these wooden and clear stamps and dies (didn’t know what these were at the time) and inks at a last day thrift store for $40. I didn’t realize just what an amazing value I got as I started to see the prices on these pieces-most unopened and brand new. Soooo I’m very blessed indeed. I want to learn how to get creative with them so I’m gonna be checking out a lot of your videos. You’re a great teacher! Thank you!
Well that is the most organized and useful app I have seen for stamps yet. I can't wait to try it. Since I have moved two years ago, nothing is working to keep things on point, here. So I can't wait to try this! Thank you so much for sharing!
I know I am late to this, I have been trying for years to organize hundreds of stamps, dies, and stencils...shoe boxes, notebooks, magnetic strips,...plastic bags, fuse tools...burnt fingers and choice words. I started recently trying to use Access, while teaching myself the program at the same time, that was fun. I had downloaded Airtable and Evernote, but figured neither one could handle my stash or what my brain was trying to over-complicate. You showed me otherwise, I am now 1/4 through my stash and have to say it is so organized, in the storage bags and in the database, and I have not even hurt my brain in the process. I cannot thank you enough for sharing this video! 😀😀😀
Oh, sweet Craft Goddess in the sky, thank you for pointing me to this video BEFORE I begin organizing my crafts supplies. 🙏🏻 😁👍🏻 Seriously though, I have no dedicated craft space and my supplies are stored wherever they fit. Makes crafting more trouble than it's worth, that's for sure. By the time I figure out which bin, drawer, shelf etc has my sharp cutty things, and which one has my sticky things...well, it takes the fun out of it.😕 I'm in the process of trying to figure out how to arrange a consolidated area for my craft goodies and this app will help me SO much. You may have saved my sanity. 🤗🤗🤗
Oh WOW! There's an APP for this!!! I love you for posting this. Now I can finally have a system for organizing what I'm sure are more than one thousand stamps. I already knew I needed a database, but having the database on a desktop or even a laptop computer is not at all convenient. I almost bought a bar code reader to try to devise a DIY database, which--geek girl that I am--I COULD have done, but it still seemed like too much hassle to start from scratch and have to purchase hardware and software, too. I am definitely getting this app and will use it not just for stamps and dies but for a bunch of other craft and art supplies. OMG, I could inventory my paints and inks and stencils AND my finished art pieces, too! Bless you, woman, you saved my life! :-)
This is such a great App. I know you weren’t sponsored by them but I feel like you should. You did a great job at explaining all the features and options. I’m new to paper crafting so I appreciate you sharing your tips, thank you 👍🏻
This is fantastic, thank you so much for sharing. I’ve been searching for 2 years for a way to organise my stamps and dies but until now I haven’t found anything I’m completely happy with. I’ve started to organise with your system and I’m really confident this will work for me. I’ve added a couple more fields which are important to me. The first is “Recipients”. Here I will select the names of the people who I’ve made a card for using this stamp. I will also add pictures of my cards in the attachments field. This way I can check what cards I’ve sent to each person previously so I don’t make them something too similar next time. My second added field is “Storage location”. I’ve numbered my stamp containers so I can enter on the app and easily find the location of a particular stamp. I’d already put a lot of my stamps in Avery Elle pockets (I think I bought the large size). Some of my stamps are too small for these pockets while others are too big and I was unsure what to do with these. Using your system I think it will work fine to buy more different size pockets, as long as each storage box is clearly labelled and catalogued I’ll be able to find everything. I’m so excited to finally sort all my stamps and then I’ll do the same for my dies. Thanks again for the best stamp storage video on RUclips 😀
I hav e been using Airtable for the past year and it’s wonderful. It had saved me numerous times from buying duplicate stamps and inks. I’m in the process of moving from individual packets to a ScrapRack and Airtable has been a big help in cataloguing my collection that has outgrown my current storage system. Thanks for shy.
I’m just beginning to organize my stamps & dies ( l’ve got a million ! ). I’m pretty much doing it like you. You were my inspiration. I got a couple of those super storage bins, the storage clear bags & some cardstock to help make them more sturdy. I need to go to Home Depot to get those vents covers to cut some magnets to include, also. Your stuff looks so neat & orderly. I thought that WAS your craft room ! Lol l use one end of my long family room but that needs some serious attention. My 14 year old granddaughter wants to come over & help. She loves to organize & she does a bank up job so l’m always happy to have her. She & her sister both finished out the school year with all “A”s. Their dad, my son made all “A”s & one “B”. He’s studying architecture with one more year to go. YAY! Sorry, l don’t know what made me skip the tracks. That’s how my brain works. Lol ‘Till next time ! Bye.
Your video is an answer to prayers!! I have tried at least 4 different apps, all of which has had problems. This is exactly what I have been looking for. Thanks so much.
Oh my JD.....my Mac died a few months ago and I've been searching for a way to reorganize my stamps, dies, EF, inks, etc. this is fantastic and looks so easy. Over the years, I have taken a picture or copied the stamps in packages, and have multiple notebooks filled with 1000's of stamps by theme. Thanks so very much for sharing this app. Hugs to you!
Thank you for recommending Airtable. I just viewed your video this week and have already entered my stamps and even my inks so I don't buy duplicate stamps or ink colors. Also, so easy to search my stamps and then find them because, let's be honest, we always have our phone by our side. Love that you can add a photo right in the app so you can see your stamps and dies before pulling them from my shelf. Thank you for your videos!!!
Thank you SO MUCH for this! I've been racking my brain trying to find a way to easily find an image or sentiment and I'm tired of going through every stamp set to find what I need. This is PERFECT!!!
Just found your videos and already you have changed my life! Airtable is wonderful and it has a desktop option for quick input, I'm better on a keyboard than a phone :)
Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing. I downloaded onto my laptop, for data entry and my tablet for photos. It took me some trial and error, but I made my first database. Next, I want to learn how tables can interact with each other.
I just started using this app after I watched your video. I am also using it for paper and embellishments. Thank you thank you thank you for sharing this great hint
You are a God-send. This is changing EVERYTHING for me in a way I can totally achieve. I’ve been adding stamps as I order them using the internet image from the manufacturer. I have also been working on adding stamps I already own. This system is out of this world wonderful!! Thank you soooo much!
I've always wanted a Simple way to organise my life and this app is so good! its Not just Craft Supplies im going to keep organised its all my Dvds and possibly books and what ever i think off So Thank you so So much ...
This video was so insanely helpful, I can't believe it. Thank you so much for sharing this system. I'll be using it for everything from dies to yarn! I downloaded the app and it was so quick to start putting everything in, I already have a huge chunk of my dies done! You are a genius!
I’ve been rubberstamping (and collecting stamp sets) for 30 years. 😍 The struggle for organization is SO REAL! 🤣 I have tried so many methods over the years - not to mention the money spent on those methods. It’s a never ending battle. 🤯 AND, it’s THAT TIME yet again, so I have been watching stamp organization videos for a few weeks now. God Bless RUclips, LOL. And bless you too, because I feel like I struck the JACKPOT with your method. 🥳 I really wanted an envelope system of some type. I thought about using page protectors, but I don’t like the way the tops are open to allow dust in. I know I can rinse my stamps off, but when we’re on a roll, who wants to “stop and rinse” first? 🤪 When I saw that your sleeves had a flap I was super thrilled! I L❤️VE your method! Of course, I’ve also considered using 3-ring notebooks, but who wants to lug those back and forth?? Seriously. Plus I’m handicapped, so it’s difficult enough for me to simply move around. Yikes. Also, let me just say, a GIANT THANK YOU for the app tip! I downloaded Airtable and started playing with it. Finding a good app for anything is also a real struggle. Geez. But Airtable is A-W-E-S-O-M-E so far!!! It’s SO easy to use! And to think, I can save so much paper by not having to have a hand-stamped catalog of my collection. That, in and of itself, is miraculous! LOL! Thanks, JD! You ROCK, Girlfriend! XOXO
OMG, i just came across your channel a few days ago. You have just solved one of my biggest dilemmas, how to keep track of my stamp sets and find what I am looking for in a hurry!!
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You sooo much!!!! I have been trying to figure out a good system for stamp storage....FOREVER...and I think this will be perfect for me
Bless you, bless you, BLESS YOU! I have been wanting to track my stamps and dies, and this looks like just the tool I need! I can’t say how many times I have looked throughout my supplies to try not to repurchase. Yes, I have a couple sets I’ve bought twice, sigh. Thank you!
JD, thank you so much for sharing this! AirTable is so much easier than any other methods I've tried to use to keep track of my craft supplies. I pray this is the end of buying repeat items unintentionally, and I can find what I need when I need it instead of leafing through binders full of stamp and dies images. I could never get the hang of Evernote (I'm not badmouthing them, it just wasn't for me.) I love being able to customize my fields. For example, I added a field for number of dies in a set so that I can make sure I haven't lost any. I found it easier to set my databases up originally on my computer, but adding fields on my phone is simple.
Thank you for sharing. I’m in the middle of organizing using a system like yours and the wonderful Jennifer McGuire. I was struggling with how to categorize and I can see how this app will help me putting things in order. And, how it can help me quickly find a stamp. The photo is a good idea.
I know this video is older, however I only just found Airtable and love your database! This was a very helpful video, as I opened Airtable, (it's now able to be done on a computer as well), and it was all very overwhelming! Thank you again for all your great videos!
CONGRATS JD! 156K RUclips Subscribers! Way to go! I watched your video as you demonstrated how you used AirTable to inventory your stamps. Since a few years have passed, I wonder if you would consider doing a follow-up to tell us what has worked, what you’ve changed & how you use it now. How long were you able to use AirTable for free before you reached the 1,200 records or 2 GB? Has your inventory grown enough to require a paid subscription to “Plus” ($10/month) or “Pro” ($20/month)? Our inventories sure do continue to grow which makes keeping track of & remembering what we have, where it is, etc. a lot more difficult! I feel genuinely blessed to have my lifelong stash of curated art supplies though! They super-charge my creativity and keep my hands, heart & mind very busy! No worries about them being idle, that’s for sure. I hope your creativity has continued to grow just like your channel has! Thanks JD!
AMAZING how you can do all that on your phone! Phones have sure come a long way! I so wish I had that many stamps to even do that! I am a newbie so I haven't hit your AWESOME amount of stamps yet! Someday I hope I will! Thank you so much for sharing your techniques with us so that when we do we will be just as organized as you are! You are truly very talented! I have watched your videos in the past and have always found them to be great inspirations to me!
I remember when I was a "newbie". I also wish they had this program way back then. I have way too many stamps, inks, craft supplies, dies, etc., to even think about using this. I have dies, inks, papers, and tools in an Excel spread sheet on my phone for when I go shopping. Dies are pretty pricey to be duplicating. :-) Even though you're new to this, if you think you will continue, you would do yourself a favor if you started cataloging your items now.
Yes! This is exactly what I was hoping for! I’ve been trying to come up with a method to inventory my stamps. This is a system that doesn’t add to the clutter in my art room. You are wonderful for taking the time to share. Thank you!
Ive been searching for years for a great storage & organization for my stamps, this app is great. I dont have the $ right now to invest in pockets, but im going to use my fuse tool to make my own out of heavy page protectors. So, tyvm😁😁😁
@@grazie0316 Where did you get those pockets for that price? I would love to start that, too, but I have a BOATLOAD of stamps, and the pockets would be very expensive at the normal pricing.
Sherry Utah heres small but still will fit the stamp and cheaper m.aliexpress.com/item/1712031460.html?spm=a2g0n.orderlist-amp.item.1712031460&aff_trace_key=a7bff1fe6908428e92813dcb70e3b480-1556471888917-06253-UneMJZVf&aff_platform=msite&m_page_id=2999amp-6HjaAQueNbwgf8lCYBGEnw1556473246308
Haven’t heard of this app before but it looks pretty simple for those of us who are somewhat technologically challenged. 😝😝 I am going to try it as I have been looking for a portable way to see my inventory. Thank you!
Finally got to this! I love the app! Works really great 👍. Got me to realise how big my stash is and how little I use it 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️. I have forbidden myself to purchase more for at least .. erm... 🤔🤔 a week. Mind you, at the time I am writing this I have been clicking away on Amazon 😆. At this rate I am going bankrupt. Thanks again for your wonderful tips and great videos 👍🏼👍🏼
What a cool app! I have been using Evernote for a long time and love it. All my stuff is catalogued with stamp and dies also stored by brands. I think the best feature of these apps are the tags. Makes searching in my stash so much easier. I might try this one for my *cough, cough* outlaw dies. Thanks for sharing! 😊
Hey Gals...Any possibility one of you -- or each of you -- would comment here as the differences between these two apps?? Or at least as to why you, Candida, would try this new app when you have history with Evernote... I'm SO in need of a way to KNOW what I have! Stamps are the worst!! There are SO many variables included on one sheet; my inclination is to separate all of them onto sheets designating a single theme. Hellllllllp!!!!
JD you are a life saver! Thank you so much for sharing this info. Here I was truing to figure out a way to organize my stamps and dies so that I don't continue getting duplicates XD. I was actually thinking of creating a spreadsheet the old fashion way, writing it down and keeping it in binder. Now I can actually take this info with me when I go shopping. Yay!!
New subbie. I thought I already was! I've heard about this Airtable for a while now, but this is the first I've seen it in action. Thanks for the demo. I've been using a spreadsheet on my computer, but this Airtable app is the bees knees. I'm definitely going to give it a try. Thank you!
as my stamp and die collection has grown significantly, and I've almost bought the same set on more than one occasion, I was just considering creating an spreadsheet with all this info... this app is sooooooo much better and more easily accessible. thank you so much for sharing! super handy!
Wow! I really love your inventory system!! Such a good idea. I've noticed recently I've bought duplicate stamps twice!! Iv'e also been thinking lately about listing out all the sentiments somewhere to make it easy to search and this would be perfect!
Thanks for the awesome tip ……… I've been looking for something like this so I appreciate you sharing with us. Plus, when I'm doing retail therapy at work (during my break of course) I will have my stamp and die inventory at my fingertips.
OMG That app is going to change my life!!!! Thank you so much for sharing! I do something similar with storing my stamps, but this will really help me keep track of everything I have!
Wow!! I’ve been looking for such a way to keep track of my massive craft supplies. Currently my clear stamps are in binders, red rubber stamps are in drawers, and dies are stored in an a basket in order by size. Nothing shameless her. I’m a new subscriber. Thanks again.
Bible been follow you for a while but just cane across this stank organization video. I love it. Just uploaded the app and created the data base outline. Super easy. I’ll start adding my inventory tomorrow. Thank you so much!
Thanks for the tips on stamp storage. I started using Evernote about a year ago. It’s working well for me. It gets confusing when you order stamp sets unless you have some type of system. Enjoyed your info. There just wasn’t anyone out there showing us what to do. Thanks again.
JD, this is exactly the same organization Jennifer McGuire Ink uses that she showed in her June 18, 2013 video. She is a professional card maker, therefore she has a lot of inventory and tried different organization systems to best accommodate her needs. I saw her video in 2015, but didn't think I'd ever have enough clear stamps or dies to even need one clear bin. But by 2019 I was having a hard time keeping it organized and accessible. So I bought a couple of bins. I have 2 bins for clear stamps and dies. That is all I am allowing myself. With crafts it's way too easy to hoard. I want to use what I have and to be creative and resourceful and not buy a tool or a thing to create. I fail a lot, but I feel good for trying. This system has been a game changer in its efficiency for me. I hope it has been working great for you as well. I was specifically sharing about the physical parts of the stamp storage. Not the digital inventory aspects of your video. I don't have a need because I don't have your amount of inventory. But if I did, I would probably try that.
To this day I still don't know how to organize my stamps. Right now I use page protector because it's cheap and come in a pack of 500 protector sheets for my clear stamps. I be sure to cut the protector sheet down to fit the stamp set. I like the idea about labeling, the app is a great idea I will have to try. Definitely will have to get one of those label-thingy machine. Thanks for sharing!
Amazing JD. That was so easy looking. And as I am about to reorganize my craft room. I think I may try this out. Thank you for the great video turtorial.
Amazing!! I love the app! Thank you for sharing. It will also help me keep a record of gifts for others (or even gift ideas for others for me 🙂). Also, I might actually use more varied stamps, now that I will have a way to find them. Woo hoo!!!!
I am a relatively new subscriber to your channel. I love your honesty and humor. Your videos are not like everyone else. You are not playing follow the leader and doing whatever everyone else is doing at the moment. I like that. I found this video today and absolutely love it! For me it is a total game changer. I can't remember everything I have and now with Airtable I will have somewhere to check! Thank you for this video. The last time I was this happy with a video It was Jennifer McGuire's Stamp and Die Organization video (Storage envelopes with magnetic panels for the dies like you have in this video. That is a great place to start but I needed this information to get to stage 2. After downloading the Airtable app I got an email confirmation email as well as a $2 Airtable credit ? It states there is am Airtable premium service. Do you have the basic free version or the premium version? Do you have a color swatching system you use for your watercolors, markers, ect? Congratulations again for reaching over 50,000 subscribers!
This video was extremely helpful to me as I am not organized yet. Been busy buying supplies but not organizing them yet. I did buy a few 2” binders and the clear project packets than can go inside the binder. Not sure which route to take as Ihave many stamp sets. I have large pretty boxes that I’ve purchased from various places and have some of them under the holiday category with their matching dies. Ex, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, etc. Hmmmm, what to do. Decisions, decisions. Tyfs. Blessings. Where did u purchase the clear baskets that you house your stamps in. Is it like a refrigerator tray or something along those lines.
Thanks for sharing this app! So excited to have my stamps, dies, etc all organized in databases. Will definitely be using this app for more than just my crafting supplies. :)
I watched your video after @Laura Vlopes-Handmade Cards mentioned your tutorial on using the airtable app. This is genius and something I have been looking for. Thank you!❤
Thank you so very much for your awesome video! Your instructions are so nice and clear and I can’t wait to start organizing in the app! I had started organizing in Evernote, but I love this so much more. Thanks!!

Hey, JD... I L O V E. that you showed us a CLOSE screen shot on the side!!! You are SO smart!!

I have been trying to figure out a good system for stamp storage....FOREVER...and I think this will be perfect for me
Thank you so much. This has to be one of the most useful app for crafters ever. Thank you for sharing.
the app is pretty handy
Thanks for showing each field! That really helps.
Omg! This may the answer to my prayers! I'll try it. Thank you!!
2021 and I’m trying to be more organized…
Thanks JD ☺️
Using AirTable is a really helpful idea. Thank you!
Just wanted to say thanks. I have been using AirTable for a while, but learned something new (& helpful!). Thank you!
This is a great app.....it took me awhile to figure it out but I have spent a few hours and have all my stamps inventoried. Thanks!!!!
Wow! I am starting to organize my stamps tomorrow. What a find this video was! Thank you.
Wow! What a great system! I will be up all night organizing! Thank you for the great walkthrough of the app!
Ok you are now on my favorites list. Discovered you this morning and have watched 5 videos-all amazing!
THANK YOU! I was looking for something like this for so long. It's gonna be a real life changing.
JD, thanks so much for this video. I have just installed the app and am having a great time uploading all my supplies. Thanks for all you do.
Thank you for the kind words!
Thank you!
Thanks a bunch about the app I've never heard of this one! I've put it on my phone and I'm ready to organize!
Ive been searching for years for a great storage & organization for my stamps, this app is great. I dont have the $ right now to invest in pockets, but im going to use my fuse tool to make my own out of heavy page protectors. So, tyvm😁😁😁
Lori Barker hi! I bought 200 pockets for $3.41 on ali and its solid dont tear and it worked!
@@grazie0316 Where did you get those pockets for that price? I would love to start that, too, but I have a BOATLOAD of stamps, and the pockets would be very expensive at the normal pricing.
Sherry Utah heres small but still will fit the stamp and cheaper

My Crafty Time Thank you sooo much great price❣️
Thank you so much for this video. This will help tremendously in organizing my stamps, plus other scrapbooking products.
Absolutely brilliant!!! I’m loving this!!
Great suggestions. I just downloaded the app and tomorrow I will get started with inventorying my stamps and dies. Thanks!
I really miss your videos! You were really growing fast! Come back...we need you! Lol💗
do it!
I use evernote as well. No desire to start over on the process but this other app has a lot of cool features I may have to try for other crafty items.
I believe there is an integration within Airtable for Evernote to let you move your notes over if you want.
Very useful idea. Thanks for sharing. Never heard of this app before so I will definitely be using it moving forward
Yay!!
I really don't have a wat to organize my stamps. I am glad I watched this.
Hiii JD just amazing all of these Fantastic ideas Bless you
New subbie. I thought I already was! I've heard about this Airtable for a while now, but this is the first I've seen it in action. Thanks for the demo. I've been using a spreadsheet on my computer, but this Airtable app is the bees knees. I'm definitely going to give it a try. Thank you!
Thanks for a great way to store stamps (& dies). Love how neat it looks. Tfs. Xxx
Great video! Never heard of this....Love organization - makes life so easier!
as my stamp and die collection has grown significantly, and I've almost bought the same set on more than one occasion, I was just considering creating an spreadsheet with all this info... this app is sooooooo much better and more easily accessible. thank you so much for sharing! super handy!
I’m a repeat offender of buying repeat supplies until I finally got this app. I knew I had to share it, glad it helps!
I appreciate the quick walk through tutorial, too! you just saved me oodles of time!!
This is awesome! I've been trying to find a way to organize my stamps. Can't wait to try this app. Thank you!!
I love this idea! Going to put it to use. Would love to see you back on utube. Have missed your videos!
That’s a great way to do inventory!! I just downloaded that app & I’m going to do the same!! Many thanks!! ❤️❤️❤️
Love this idea! So helpful to get organized.
Absolutely grateful for the video. Drooling over your stamp set too!
What a great idea and with this app. I have purchased doubles, thx for your help.
Wow, love the app. I can't wait to organize my stuff better!
Thank you for the Air Table tutorial! That is perfect for another thing I need an inventory of also!
My stamps look like 52 card pickup- they are everywhere! I can't wait to get started on this.
Amazing JD. That was so easy looking. And as I am about to reorganize my craft room. I think I may try this out. Thank you for the great video turtorial.
Thank you for telling us about the Air Table APP - I have too many stamps and wanted to organize. The APP is wonderful
Thank you for this! I love your video and am downloading the app now. ❤️❤️❤️ You’ve inspired me!
Really helpful, thank you!
O M G. THANK YOU so much for solving my worst nightmare! Wow I am so excited to do this!!
Thank you! thank you! I’m ready to start!!!
thanks for this tip. I've been looking for an apps to monitor my stamps and dies. Really a great help.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Just got the APP. Having fun learning how to use it. THANKS 😁👍👍😁💕
Thanks for sharing this app! So excited to have my stamps, dies, etc all organized in databases. Will definitely be using this app for more than just my crafting supplies. :)
I need to get this app. You made it look easy. I'll give it a try.
I watched your video after @Laura Vlopes-Handmade Cards mentioned your tutorial on using the airtable app. This is genius and something I have been looking for. Thank you!❤
Absolutely awesome!!!!!!
I love this video and watched it about five times LOL. I downloaded Air Table got a new laptop and I'm ready to take my inventory. thank you so much!
WOW!! You are SERIOUS!!!
Thank you so very much for your awesome video! Your instructions are so nice and clear and I can’t wait to start organizing in the app! I had started organizing in Evernote, but I love this so much more. Thanks!!
