I think the production being at the same level is from hip hop. I came from a hip hop background and got into the genre of pop punk. The production on this is very hip hoppy and i really liked it, probably used for it to be more accessible to a wider audience.
Oh my god!! I absolutely loved the end of the music video lol. A prank gone wrong? I didn't really care for the song that much, but perhaps I should give his music a chance. Can't wait to dive into more of his music!! 😊👍
The song itself is actually several months old, I discovered it last summer. And I have to admit, it’s a grower. The first listening, like you guys, I was like 'eh…' and now it’s one if not my favourite song of 2021. The video fits perfectly… and the 808’s dont bother me that much, again, it fits the song, I dont think a Travis Barker feat would improve such a song.
If the chorus had a proper pop punk instrumental it would have slapped sm harder. Songs like “think of me tonight” show that lil lotus works for the genre and it would’ve changed the song from decent to a banger. Decently catchy tune tho.
as i was about to type it you guys said it! theres no dynamix in this song! Even their voices dont have much of a difference in tones. It was a Lil boring. but a good vibe song about it for me. I hope they had the most perfect Lil wedding though.

I agree that the song is very one-note, nothing here nor there about the production or vocals. But definitely alright for background music, I wouldn't skip it. I know it's an older song, but I'd love for you to check out Imagination by Foster the People!
