There are ton of real estate agents on RUclips, but none of them are as good as Ellen. These videos are always chock full of useful analysis. If I was moving to Raleigh, I would call Ellen in a second.

There is a contingent of us that would rather be outside the actual Raleigh sphere somewhat. The hobby-farm type properties are very much of interest. You would love riding a Harley if you gave it a try.

We are moving from NH and finding unrestricted land near Raleigh has been tough! I have ducks and geese plus a rooster. We found something in Willow Springs near Angier but other than that, haven’t found much of anything in these areas. The market is pretty tough right now

I live in Colorado and I would love to retire in North Carolina. I love your channel and all of your content. What are your thoughts on the area around Asheville?
Health care isn’t fantastic in Asheville. Also it’s gotten quite an increase in crime over the last few years. There are some super cute small towns outside of Asheville, though. And I’m so glad you’re enjoying the content!!
How do you feel about Fuquay? I read your article comparing it to Cary - does that all hold true still? I also couldn’t find any information on the new Target that you mentioned in your article. Looks like Porter Farms area on TenTen is going to be a booming area too by Costco. Intrigued about it
I absolutely love Fuquay. I think it's a great town with so much character! I lived in Holly Springs, just 10 minutes from Fuquay so I'm there frequently. And yes, I still think everything in that video holds true... The Target is supposed to be in the Gold Leaf Crossing development, which is still in the works. I'm not sure when it will all be completed and I'm not currently aware of any changes at this point. Ok Ellen, what's the scoop with older non-subdivision homes in a area like Apex that I live in? Why don't I see those types of homes on sites such as Zillow, Realtor, etc. (for sale)? Are they just passed on to the adult children instead of sold on the open market?
Just looking at some quick data, we tend to average 40-50 non-subdivision homes per year in Apex. These are all listed in the MLS. There may be properties that sell outside the mls but I don’t have access to that data. My thought is that many non-HOA homes are on larger peices of land and are possibly being sold to builders commercially rather than marketed to residential buyers. Where's the best place to live in Raleigh area if you're gluten free?
Timothy and I are both gluten free and so are two of our kids! I think there are a lot of options throughout the Triangle. Personally we live in Holly Springs and there are two dedicated gluten free restaurants, which is amazing for a small town. Ferawyns is a gluten free bakery and cafe. And Lovegrass is a gluten free breakfast place. They have crepes, and waffles…that kind of thing. There are lots of other options…many places that just lend themselves to gluten free. Some good Indian spots, Thai and Mediterranean… we go into Fuquay or Cary for some of these but being close to both towns is really helpful. So within 15 minutes you can be at tons of restaurants with gluten free options. Our local grocery stores carry everything you need gluten free. I would honestly say the whole area is pretty friendly though. There is a bakery, JPs, in Benson, that stocks a lot of the local stores with anything you can imagine throughout the region. They also make gluten free meals but I think you have to pick those up from their store in Benson. But they make everything from tiramisu to biscuits to challah to carrot cake. You name it they have it. And it’s distributed in many grocery stores. Let me know if you have specific questions! Glad to help and feel free to schedule a call if you want!
