So in a nutshell, he is asian american but raised in the Tibet.

There's another layer of emotions on the official soundtrack version. After the end of this theme, there's a few minutes of silence to it. Afterwards, it picks back up as a sombre, acoustic version of the KI theme plays, signifying Mick Gordon's work is finished. A sweet lullaby and goodbye. Love this man.
The entire song feels like an unwilling monster momentarily remembering themselves, suddenly having the brutality of what they are now, and the soul of who they truly are. Like a werewolf monk. And at 4:00 you hear both the beast and the person in complete unison. In PERFECT balance of both.
It almost makes me wish that instead of Omen taking over or Jago fully repelling him. A balance was achieved for that part of the song to fit even more.
Everytime I listen to Omen's theme I always imagine it to be the perfect song for the White Scars (Essentially Space Mongols) from Warhammer 40k, and I absolutely love it
I think this theme represents Jago while possessed by omen. Gargo's theme is played while maintaining elements of Jago's monk theme while also retaining the same lyrics, just reflecting his international conflict. By the way it changes at 3:53 I would say that's when Jago gained freedom. That peace and calmness doesn't last too long but now the song sounds more like his original theme minus the vocals. The end music almost sounds joyous. I like to think this theme represents freedom after an endless struggle.
In the story, Omen actually gains free will from having been inside Jago and chooses to go against his master, Gargos. While not allying himself with the heroes, Omen is now his own man... demon... person, with his own individuality. Having had a taste of human emotions, he no longer chooses to obey the commands of Gargos. Side note: After this newly-gained freedom, Omen has a crush on Sadira. Probably sounds a lot more childish when I type it out like that, but it isn’t fan fiction. He genuinely finds her attractive, in his own weird, transcendent, spiritual way, I suppose.
Esteban Romero Jago has a noble spirit, kinda like Ryu. So a demon becoming less evil and more sentient because of that is cool, I think. That Sadira bit came out of a piece of lore from the Shadow Lords mode. I forget the exact “archive” or “manuscript” or whatever they’re called, but yeah, it was a noteworthy advancement. Perhaps in the future, Jago and Omen could agree to become allies in order to defeat a common foe, and maybe form Shadow Jago again? Or a stronger version? It’s cool to think about.

Light Omen is a separate being. Shadow Jago is Jago’s body being possessed by Omen. Jago kicked Omen out of his body, returning to normal, but now Omen can transform into Shadow Jago (apart from Jago). It seems to be that whenever Omen possesses someone, he gains their body as a new form that he can morph into, even when he is not currently possessing them. At least that is what I understand from Shadow Lords. Hopefully that makes sense.
Search "Composing Instinct" by Hold Back To Block. It's a near 2 hour video where Mick and his collaborators talk in detail about the creation of some of the songs in the soundtrack.
With the way this song arranged now, makes Omen really feel like a secret KOF final boss, one you fight right after beating Aria with her already magnificent theme.
When the music gets more calm a bit after 4 minutes, I picture Omen and Jago realizing that their power together could beat Gargos, so they decide to merge into Shadow Jago and kill Gargos, then go their separate ways.

Slow Poison as shown in Shadow Lords and just the story in general, Omen shows signs of wanting to work for himself, and if Omen is your captain or just part of your party, he taunts Gargos after and before a fight. Omen has these feeling due to being part of Jago once, as Omen is the incarnation of all Shadow Jago's past fights, this also gave Omen all of Jago's memories, this gave Omen an obsession to have a full body, like Jago. So in short, Omen is the Herald of Death.
How to perfectly sum up Omen: -Mortally despised for supposedly being "overpowered". -Menacing design. -Kickass theme. -Fun to play as. -Did I mention kickass theme?
The whole sequence that begins at 3:57, and especially the part that starts at 4:58, is probably one of the most inspirational things in any musical track ever, let alone in just video games It's the musical equivalent of that anime trope where the hero, after having been thoroughly beaten down by a villain who seems unbeatable, remembers all the friends who believe in him, stands up with a new fire in his eyes, and the tables turn in an instant. Unbelievable amounts of sheer hype. You can tell that this is where the theme stops being Omen's and becomes Jago's again.

Woah, this version kicks ass of all kinds. Why the hell is the part from the beginning and 4:35 not in the game!? It would be so hype whenever you (or the opponent for that matter) gets a second wind via C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!, COUNTER BREAKER! or even SHADOW COUNTER! and is rewarded with this portion of the song dynamically kicking in.
I may not like death metal... but the friggin atmosphere of awesomeness coming from the synergy of sounds slamming into my auditory cortex is simply too much. *smacks that save button*
Honestly that intro to the song sounds like the moment when the villain(Gargos) has the heroes(The Alliance) on their last legs, only for the used-to-be villain(Omen) to appear and after declaring himself freed from the Villain kicks his ass and save the heroes before leaving to do whatever he pleases be it evil or good without anyone to tell him what to do. Edit: As for the slow part it's like it's representing the new Anti-Hero reminiscing about the event that lead him to this point, memories of its past actions and of the new feeling he attained.
I know the lyrics are basically Tibetan gibberish, but I love how with this one it does sound like he’s saying COWER and Jago. As if either Jago should cower before Gargos (or at least his herald), or people should now cower before Shadow Jago.

Woah, this version kicks ass of all kinds. Why the hell is the part from the beginning and 4:35 not in the game!? It would be so hype whenever you (or the opponent for that matter) gets a second wind via C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!, COUNTER BREAKER! or even SHADOW COUNTER! and is rewarded with this portion of the song dynamically kicking in.
I may not like death metal... but the friggin atmosphere of awesomeness coming from the synergy of sounds slamming into my auditory cortex is simply too much.

Honestly that intro to the song sounds like the moment when the villain(Gargos) has the heroes(The Alliance) on their last legs, only for the used-to-be villain(Omen) to appear and after declaring himself freed from the Villain kicks his ass and save the heroes before leaving to do whatever he pleases be it evil or good without anyone to tell him what to do.
Edit: As for the slow part it's like it's representing the new Anti-Hero reminiscing about the event that lead him to this point, memories of its past actions and of the new feeling he attained.
Not gonna lie, that actually sounds pretty badass...
