I Am Boulder Junction: Grassy Creek Ranch

Sonny Wuesterhagen, owner of Grassy Creek Ranch, spent a good part of his life in Port Washington but couldn't ignore the pull of the Northwoods. He bought 40 acres north of Boulder Junction and built his ranch 25 years ago. Grassy Creek offers guided trail rides by reservation, with riding instructions, and the opportunity to trot and lope. The routes, all former logging trails or snowmobile trails, wind under a thick tree canopy so riders are protected from the sun and light precipitation. Sonny says his favorite part about running his business is seeing kids grow from timid to comfortable around horses, adding that their glow of confidence can't be beat. #iamboulderjunction #boulderjunction #wisconsin
