Fans express their delight for 'wonderful' new additions to Princess Diana's ultimate resting place

Princess Diana and her family relocated to Althorp House in Northamptonshire when she was a teenager, and she was buried on the grounds after her terrible death in 1997. At the weekend, the estate's conservation manager provided a spectacular peek of some new visitors to the Oval Lake, near where the late Princess was buried - and they were quickly dubbed "beautiful". Adey Greeno captioned a sun-dappled shot, "Male & female mandarin ducks on the Oval lake today... "They are native to China, Korea, and Japan. After escaping from private collections, this lovely duck has become rather popular. They perch and nest on ancient trees, sometimes fairly far from the river." The breathtaking view was posted on social media. "Beautiful couple," one said, while another added, "They know a good place of refuge when they see it!" Princess Diana's secret resting site. The late Princess of Wales was put to rest on an island in the Oval Lake in Althorp that is only accessible by boat, therefore the general public is unable to attend. However, there is a designated shrine on-site where Diana's brother Charles, who is now Earl Spencer and curator of their ancient family home, welcomes visitors to lay floral tributes and notes for Prince William and Harry's late mother.
