@@justinmcclanahan4745 true, they have the right sound and feel for the DIO material. Some bands don't understand the different elements that make these songs great.
@@justinmcclanahan4745 My favorite band is Iron Maiden, and in the beginning, their Trooper cover caught my attention, but honestly, it was the Dio covers that really grabbed me; they are captivating. As for Ethan bass/Justin keys, for awhile I've felt a little bad for them, because Melody, Sam and Abigail cast such massive shadows; it would be rough to be growing underneath them. But lately they are both starting to shine through more; this Last in Line, and the Master of Puppets we can hear how they both are indeed coming into their own and may well wind up at Geezer Butler/Jon Lord levels if they keep up the work.
Guitar solo was incredibly insane and on point. Bass sound was fantastic, keys filled the rhythm perfectly, drums hit hard and nobody....nobody is going to match that voice. You guys should even have well established mainstream bands turning their heads. Freaking awesome.
Guys, God knows, Dio would be proud of you for this performance of his songs with an open heart and soul!!! As a true fan of Dio since 1974 from Russia.
No lie indeed! And let's not forget Ethan on bass. I've only been following the band about 6 months, but because of the pandemic the releases slowed down. The good thing about that is you can compare their skill from Queen of Hearts to Master and Symphony, and now this. They've gone from exceptionally good to truly great and world class. Take a bow young men for your talent and all the effort that took. Bravo!
What BS. You don't even hear him in most songs, why they don't just teach him a more appropriate instrument I'll never know. At this point he might as well not be there.
Liliac: Mom & Dad, first, I'm jealous! How the hell did you create five young metalheads under one household in which they all play different instruments and complement each other? Talk about good ingredients! God Bless you both and thank you, maybe DIO had something to do with it. Keep metal alive, God knows we need it these days.
When the song starts off soft she sings it beautifully with the extra long kind stare into the camera before she let's her voice rip..was perfect gave me chills..also guitarist really came into his own on this for me..played it perfectly but added his own touches with out watering it down..great job liliac
First of all, this band is one heck of a blast in metal scene! And second... Melody could be the one and only female metal singer in the fucking universe that can nail this monster of a song in such perfection!
Rock (and Metal) never died. It just went to RUclips. No seriously...when MTV decided in 1994 that no one wanted to listen to rock anymore and just pumped Hip Hop and Grunge into everybody's ears it made it feel like rock was dead. But it wasn't. It just went to Europe and Florida (death metal scene). And then MySpace came around in the early 2000s and it allowed bands to post their music within the embedded music player, but then RUclips popped up a few years later and the rest is history. I hear what you're saying, but everytime I hear "[So and so] is keeping rock alive." I just have to think/say that it never died, people just didn't know where to look for a while there in the 90s.
Love this song and Mel's voice is just outta this world. Abby beats the Hell out of the skins and Sam is a great player as well as the rest of you guys. Keep rocking in the free world.
I love Liliac! I especially love Abby on the drum kit! She rocks out all of the time. I love the vocals, I love the musicality, I love it when the song starts out slow and low and then builds into Metal sweetness. You guys are all fantastic. Sam, is magnificent, Melody is a star in her own right. So much God given talent in one family. God must have built Liliac since he gave this amount of talent to one family. Rock on Liliac!
I don't even know how to express how great it is to see a younger generation keeping this amazing music alive!! Also, not only keeping it alive, but doing it justice!! What a great cover!🤟
Yes, it is great. The problem though is that we as an older generation appreciate their music - but they need to appeal to the younger generation as well if they want to live from it. My kids listen to Maneskin on TikTok (The Italian Rockband, same age group, 20-22 years old), but I only see old people in Liliac's concerts - If I were the manager, I would point this out :-)
Usually I hate covers. But this one.... ...maaaaan!!! MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SINGER Dio is very difficult for every singer. AND "THIS" ONE IS A FEMALE!!!! I think I fell in love with her voice in 10 seconds! Jeeeesus fo***** christ!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤

We all now how Ronnie James Dio was a great man and the best song writer and singer the world will ever listen to. Thank you for your comet well said. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
At the same time, I’m taken back to my youth and catapulted into the future. You put a smile on this 50 year old face as I’m sure you do with the younger generation. That’s talent. You’ve got “it”. That thing which sets some people apart from others. You’ve got that.
I could swear that Dio is channeling through Melody. She just has that natural raspy metal voice that grabs you by the throat and takes you for the journey. You must...you WILL listen.
Wow, after hearing this and their version of Holy Diver I just can say: Melody is the female reincarnation of Ronnie James Dio. And the other 4 siblings are as talented as she is. What a heck of a cover version 😍❤️
Just ridiculously amazing. The entire band are the one and only True Rock Family. You guys are so amazing. You're father is an amazing man making all you're well deserved dreams into, a beautiful reality. You're smoking hot mother is an amazing woman that is devoted to all of you and you're great musical careers. You all are naturally talented.
This past Christmas a suggested video was them covering Metallica's enter sandman. I was thinking it would be just like every other cover, meh. Once she started singing I was hooked. Her voice is strong and powerful. I immediately looked them up to check out other covers and even some of their originals. I was not disappointed. So, I looked up their story. Their dad had a vision. Kudos to those at the time kids for believing in him and kudos to their dad for believing in them.
I’m 55, seen a lot of the bands people cover in person, and always something feels missing, until now. This felt like the one where you guys hit every target, ticket every box, and really came into your own. Extremely impressed, first time I’ve listened to anyone cover RJD and not miss any of the magic I felt when I heard him do it. Keep it up, you have renewed my faith in young musicians and music in general. Today you definitely made a fan. You should do something with Okeefe Music Foundation, oh, and cover Armata Strigoi by Powerwolf.
I don’t know what I love more.. The guitar 🎸 The drums🥁 The vocals 🎤 The hair….👩🏻 Or the heart ❤️ and soul these kids have….!!! KEEP ROCKING….!!! RIP DIO ☠️
these guys are tight, I like how they don't add any extra stuff they play like it was suppose to be played all there covers they have done. Ronnie is well pleased \m/
Ronnie was a great friend to many of us in Up-State New York. He went to Waverly High School and many of us watched him from back in those days. Great tribute to RJD.
Ok. Nice slow breathing so I don't hyperventilate. That was the Best. Bloody. Dio. Cover. EVER!!! When they cover the master (bows in reverence) it's always something special, a labor of true love. But if you watch Rainbow, then Holy Diver, then this (go do that in order, straightaways) the progression of of skill is just Earth shattering. As good as Melody is on Dio (some are as good, but none better), she Abby and Sam have gone from fantastic to truly a class of their own. Ethan and Justin, what you've accomplished the last 2 years is mind blowing. Exponential progress. And lest I forget, maybe the best video you've ever made. That praise goes to Papa, and Sam for exceptional editing. Also a shout out to Mama and Papa for raising respectful children to be aware of those that came before them. Mr Dio's family and the man himself should be moved by this tribute. Bless the entire Cristea family!
I have simply geeked out on your cover!!! I have gone back and forth between Liliac, Dio, Iron Maiden, and the Charismatic Voice reactions aw night & aww day!! Liliac, y'all have stirred me!!! I am hypnotized by the passion, depth, and presence you all have, and I am especially haunted by your Dio covers.. Melodea, your vocals and enunciation are captivating.. Thank you all for sharing your gifts of musical power and execution!!!!!!!!... Of queues, and rhythm, and sound..
That guitar. Damn. Melody’s voice is epic, of course, but the guitar solo just swept me away. WTG. You youngsters rock so damn much. I can’t wait to add this to my collection.
Ronnie is defiantly smiling down on you guys, that was amazing. You guys are all great but Melody, your voice blows me away every time. God Bless You All.
This cover was well chosen by the Band. Dio used an organ player instead of a rhythm guitar. So does Liliac. And OMG Melody fits RJD's style to a T. I gotta say the close ups of Melody's face highlighted her eyes, giving them an almost hypnotic quality.
These kids blow my mind. For this whole family of musicians to have such talent is unbelievable. Take care of your family kids. And contributions to charity is always cool.
Dio's music was often overlooked. But thanks to Liliac, those that lost out before can see through the talent of these young people, just what a true master Dio was.
GEEEEEZZUSSSSSS... I haven't heard that in years. You guys are just insane, holy crap! Best cover I've heard period! It's up there with Disturbed doing Sounds of Silence.
@@redeyedrednek well look at it this way the original song it was good but disturbed took it to a new level just like what they did with land of confusion
I went to trade school with a guy who was in a recording studio with Ronnie James Dio. The first thing he said he couldn’t believe how short he was in person, but he said he was the most down to earth person
A Little late, commenting on a video that's been on RUclips for 2 years now. But, Damn, what a Great Cover, Excellent performance by the whole band. But the singer is just amazing. Must've watched The Music Video for this song many times. Anyway, a cover with so much emotion is always a great thing to see. When so many covers on youtube seem so lifeless. Done just for something to do it seems. Just for the sake of covering the song. BUT NOT HERE!! If it were possible Ronnie James dio would watching this & salute you personally
I know that Melody likes to mimic a lot of artists but when she does Ronnie James Dio, you can see she has just a little bit more oomph and that's what makes her amazing. The entire band is awesome.
Melody discovered Ronnie James Dio at the tender age of 15 and lost Her fricking mind. She fell in love with his voice his mannerism his style on stage. Swiftly kicked her little brother Eathen off rythem guitar and taught him all the base lines to their songs. Eathen plays rythem, lead, base and mandolin guitars. He is a BADASS.
EXCELLENT, YOU ROCK AS ALWAYS TOOK ME BACK TO THE 70'S . ETHAN & JUSTIN ARE COMING INTO THEIR OWN & SAMUELS PLAYING IS FLAWLESS THEN THERE'S THE LADY'S WHAT CAN I SAY EXCEPT YOU ALL ROCK . GOOD JOB I LOVED IT........
What I love about this band is they are incredibly talented their music sounds incredibly professional I’ve heard a lot of music over my 56 years of life a lot of people out there supposed to be professional , and their musics don’t sound well arranged very sharp, with liliac I can hear every instrument and vocals perfectly and the correct balance, nothing overshadows anything? to me their sound is incredible engineered /mixed thanks to their dad a genius
I used to think Steve Morse (especially after he joined Deep Purple) was the happiest musician on stage I'd ever seen. Then I saw Abigail. Steve is now #2!
It's been fun to watch the evolution of Liliac over the past ten years. They are all truly talented and they have much to be proud of. That's it. No ifs, ands, buts or caveats. They are just that good.

@@justinmcclanahan4745 true, they have the right sound and feel for the DIO material. Some bands don't understand the different elements that make these songs great.
@@rubberneck2855 that's so true 👍
@@justinmcclanahan4745 Ethan
Guitar solo was incredibly insane and on point. Bass sound was fantastic, keys filled the rhythm perfectly, drums hit hard and nobody....nobody is going to match that voice. You guys should even have well established mainstream bands turning their heads. Freaking awesome.
I listened to live stream all comments were shocked including big names.
Guys, God knows, Dio would be proud of you for this performance of his songs with an open heart and soul!!! As a true fan of Dio since 1974 from Russia.
Everyone speaks truth about Melody’s voice, the lead, drums and bass, but they forget the youngest on keys has magic fingers, that’s no lie!!!
Good call
No lie indeed! And let's not forget Ethan on bass. I've only been following the band about 6 months, but because of the pandemic the releases slowed down. The good thing about that is you can compare their skill from Queen of Hearts to Master and Symphony, and now this. They've gone from exceptionally good to truly great and world class. Take a bow young men for your talent and all the effort that took. Bravo!
don't forget Sam on lead guitar
They're all pretty badass....
Wendy knew Ronnie would love this! Melody has his spirit in her vocals!
Somewhere up in heaven, Ronnie James Dio is smiling!
He's more than smiling he's singing along & rocking out with them 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘😇😇😇
Ronnie didn't believe in Heaven or Hell. But a nice thought.
No. He's giving devil horns and banging his head hehe
no he is not he's turning in his grave
Ronnie? In heaven? 🤣🤣🤣
And that my friends, is how a tribute performance is done!
No need to add anything, the song is already perfect.
Great job!
The most talent ive ever seen from one family
Every time I hear thier songs it seems like Dio is standing with them.
They get it. The level of conviction here is perfect. Any RJD material deserves nothing less than utmost and they nailed it.
These are the coolest kids in the world, ever! Ronnie James is smiling in his grave! My god, this is good
When the song starts off soft she sings it beautifully with the extra long kind stare into the camera before she let's her voice rip..was perfect gave me chills..also guitarist really came into his own on this for me..played it perfectly but added his own touches with out watering it down..great job liliac
100% ROCK AND ROLL!!! Melody is in a class by herself. I've never heard a voice like hers. Absolutely amazing job Liliac
Yes!!!!
First of all, this band is one heck of a blast in metal scene! And second... Melody could be the one and only female metal singer in the fucking universe that can nail this monster of a song in such perfection!
Sam, man you got that one down. Way to lay down those licks.. Thank you for keeping Rock alive! The Best family in rock!
They are awesome. Her voice is SO!!! powerful.
Love this Band
I love Liliac! I especially love Abby on the drum kit! She rocks out all of the time. I love the vocals, I love the musicality, I love it when the song starts out slow and low and then builds into Metal sweetness. You guys are all fantastic. Sam, is magnificent, Melody is a star in her own right. So much God given talent in one family. God must have built Liliac since he gave this amount of talent to one family. Rock on Liliac!
I swear I haven’t heard a singer give me chills listening to a song in a long time you’re voice is kick ass
I also love their Holy Diver cover. They were younger then but still nailed it!!!
@@Kristina-jf4hdwhere's the Holy Diver cover - man, it must hit so hard
@@n0ut4j4it should be on their page. I just watched it again a couple days ago. It was 4yrs ago so it’s way down on the list. They also have a video of them visiting Dio’s grave and singing Man on the Silver Mountain
WOW, Totally incredible cover of Dio's song "Last In Line". Very Impressive. I think it is fair to say that "Liliac" is the best Rock/Metal family band in the world! ROCK ON & ROCK HARD! 🎼🤘🏼🎸
Have to agree, they ABSOLUTELY are!🦇🤘🥦😎
They Killed it!
They're great! There's also 3 brothers from KC called Hammerhead also great!
Ronnie passed away the same year that Michael Jackson did. He got no 4 hour tribute show on TV, no televised funeral service, barely a mention. That was yet another awesome tribute to a music LEGEND. Thank you, Liliac! RORH! 🎸🎤🎹😁🎶
It was almost a full year apart. But I see your point.
@@ch-jo6mg Right. Michael died on June 25, 2009, and Ronnie on May 16, 2010. Farrah Fawcett died the same day as MJ but hardly got noticed because the news of MJ was so big!
I agree
We all now how Ronnie James Dio was a great man and the best song writer and singer the world will ever listen to. Thank you for your comet well said. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
trust me dios funeral event was a celebration ala lemmys
At the same time, I’m taken back to my youth and catapulted into the future. You put a smile on this 50 year old face as I’m sure you do with the younger generation. That’s talent. You’ve got “it”. That thing which sets some people apart from others. You’ve got that.
I could swear that Dio is channeling through Melody. She just has that natural raspy metal voice that grabs you by the throat and takes you for the journey. You must...you WILL listen.
Melody's hair is AMAZING!!!!
The guitar 🎸
The drums🥁
The vocals 🎤
The hair….👩🏻
Or the heart ❤️ and soul these kids have….!!!
KEEP ROCKING….!!!
RIP DIO ☠️
Melody has an awesome voice🎤
Yes but we love the drumer@@ericwahlstrom9934
these guys are tight, I like how they don't add any extra stuff they play like it was suppose to be played all there covers they have done. Ronnie is well pleased \m/
Ronnie was a great friend to many of us in Up-State New York. He went to Waverly High School and many of us watched him from back in those days. Great tribute to RJD.
YES,YES,YES, YES, I LOVED IT, MELODY YOU HAVE THAT VOICE THAT MAKES A DIO SONG SOUND GREAT
Ronnie James Dio Rest In Peace.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Ronnie will never be truly gone as long you guys are around. 🤘
Of queues, and rhythm, and sound..
yes!!! just yes!!!!!!!!!
doing RJD proud!!!
What reminds RJD?
Melody just gets better every song she brings back to life......
This band is as versatile as all get out!
Wholeheartedly agree Grizz!
Nah BRO, Ronnie definitely smiling up on them! That was a worthy tribute!

My GAWD Sam your killin it! Last in Line is one of my fav's and you guys nailed it. Great Job!!!
Liliac is the best family rock band ever! Your harmony and chemistry is unmatched ❤️🔥🤘RO&RH 🤘
I'm blown away! great job guys, rock on and rock hard!!!
Great reaction video. 👍
Same here: I liked your reaction too! Loved your astonishment, you obviously didn't expect this…
Just now hearing this!
Amazing tribute and band !!
Do I dare say this is up there with the Jackson 5! Could be a toss up.
@@operasinger2126 the Jackson 5 didn't play musical instruments
God she is amazing.
Dio's music was often overlooked. But thanks to Liliac, those that lost out before can see through the talent of these young people, just what a true master Dio was.
AMEN BROTHER. AMEN.
Said it before... Melody sounds like Ronnie James Dio and Janis Joplin's love child!
not even close
more like shakira and rob halford
"Just absolutely outstanding!!" tribute to the Master long live "Ronnie James Dio!"
GEEEEEZZUSSSSSS... I haven't heard that in years. You guys are just insane, holy crap! Best cover I've heard period! It's up there with Disturbed doing Sounds of Silence.
Listen to there version of holy diver best cover I've heard
You mentioned Disturbed so your comment is invalid.
@@redeyedrednek well look at it this way the original song it was good but disturbed took it to a new level just like what they did with land of confusion
@@redeyedrednek lol...agreed!!
The best tribute to Ronnie James Dio ever. Wow. Amazing.
I went to trade school with a guy who was in a recording studio with Ronnie James Dio. The first thing he said he couldn’t believe how short he was in person, but he said he was the most down to earth person
Dave Stone said he agrees with you. btw, he lives and still plays in Vancouver
Another perfect choice, and a remarkable rendition.
Literally this is the only band worthy of doing Dio tributes 🤘🤘🤘
OMG... This is phenomenal... you nailed it PERFECTLY... WOW!
My god but the lead guitarist catches Vivian Campbell’s tone perfectly on the solo.
This band never disappoints, it's just straight up ass kickin rock and roll, long live LILIAC.
I never dreamt anyone could cover Dio songs and have them sound just as good as the original.
You're absolutely right!
I literally can't say who the best musician of LILIAC is... but, Melody, "HOOOOOMEEE" destroyed me!
😎 I'm 76yrs young an they give me goosebumps every time I hear them. Rock on Rockers, you're BEAUTIFUL. I LOVE U GUYS.😉
Also when she sings "Dooooowwwnnnnnn" the first time..hot damn that was solid
aaaaand she nailed that 1st big high note , set the the tone for the rest of the song ;)
OMG, you nailed this song, I truly believe there was some Dio channeled here, lol. Rock on Liliac!
Agree. Everything is "on point".
Anything good is worth doing Great !!!
Holy shit! Never had heard of this band. Unbelievable. Big Dio fan and they did it to perfection! Big Liliac fan now, too.
Me either! They’re amazing
Just seen them in Clearwater FL with the Iron Maidens. Great live show.
The drummer is so special. Something fantastic about her.
Amen, Amen, Amen. Seeing Abigail on drums seems to soothe the sorrow of the loss of Taylor Hawkins. Love her spirit.
[Verse 1]
We're a ship without a storm
The cold without the warm
Light inside the darkness that it needs, yeah…
We're a laugh without a tear
The hope without the fear
We are coming… home!
[Verse 2]
We're off to the witch
We may never never never come home
But the magic that we'll feel is worth a lifetime
We're all born upon the cross
We're the throw before the toss
You can release yourself
But the only way is down
[Verse 3]
We don't come alone
We are fire, we are stone
We're the hand that writes
And quickly moves away
[Chorus]
We'll know for the first time
If we're evil or divine
We're the last in line, yeah
We're the last in line, oh!
[Verse 4]
Two eyes from the east
It's the Angel or the Beast
And the answer lies between the good and bad
We search for the truth
We could die upon the tooth
But the thrill of just the chase is worth the pain
[Chorus]
We'll know for the first time
If we're evil or divine
We're the last in line
Yeah, we're the last in line, oh
