- The new Reader Pen by C-Pen raises the bar for a product in this category. The quality of speech, speed, accuracy and added features make this a pretty interesting addition to the scanning pen arena. This pen may be of interest if you are dyslexic or need to reference physical media as part of your research or studies.

*I like the design of the **Bestt.Digital** translator , and charging case. It is little bit heavy. The application is easy to use, but there are things to be improved. For example, I knew the earbud are connected to the phone, but I didn’t know I need to reconfirm it again, so I would be able to use “Speaker mode” . I took sometime to find it though.*

Hands down! C pen wins! My son is in college and deal with auditory processing and doesn’t comprehend a lot of text content and like dyslexia he gets text mixed around!!!!

I really struggle with reading and avoid reading because of a lot of shame for how slow I read and my dyslexia. This looks like an amazing product! I've been using an app called Natural Reader and ORC to transcribe my books but it's daunting.

It is a shame that the exam reader and the dictionary pens are available in so many languages while the Reader pen only available in English and Spanish.

It sometimes do not scan things written in a table
(The borders of table = most of the time it read as 1 or L )
Secondly you have to move pen very smoothly
A slight unpredictable movement will result in something different

my sharon I think the c-pen is brilliant . i got the chance to use a c- pen at college it made a difference in class doing maths GCSE. It was cool .went i get the chance i am going to get one. i am Dyslexia so my read and spelling is bad some time and i read it sound wrong but went the c- pen reader it all of sudden it sound right.

It is sad that it has not got it in Turkish- English language translation. I also would have expect The dictionary to define the words more in detailed like, given 2-3 synonyms words and example sentences to see how the word is used, if needed:(

It has a text to speech engine so is able to speak most words correctly.
Will c=pen reader read out Russian and Chines words? As in words that are in a different language as in foreign names?

Can you record it to your computer for like a college text book so you can read it through audio? Would anyone know?
In theory you could, but this product is better suited to reading paragraphs, pages or short books rather than lengthy text books.
Will Bluetooth ear pods work with this pen?

Hi I was looking at your RUclips video which is terrific. I have dyslexia also and I have looked for numerous things for years. There's been so many times I've had a fake so many things. I love this pan that you demonstrated. I looked on Amazon and I could not find it. What company makes this C-pen the one that I saw doesn't work as well as the one that you demonstrated. I definitely need text to speech to help me with my work can you give me some suggestions.

Does it speak the definitions to the words? I'd like one for our 8 year old daughter who has reading difficulties and I think she'd struggle to read the definitions. thanks
Yes it reads out definitions with the Collins English Dictionary. The Oxford Primary Dictionary has also recently been added - a much simpler dictionary to understand.

It would be good to have the function of accepting and interpreting faculty members at universities. this accommodation should be developed in suitable glasses. sports functions should be added

Does it have a setting for punctuation? It appears to skim over full stops.
Hi Lorraine, good question. A punctuation pause setting has been added so you can increase the time after punctuation. There is also now a word pause setting so you can have longer between each word if you wish.

Hello, are you able to change the speed that the C-pen reads out the word or words?
Yes you can. There's 3 speed: slow, medium and fast. You can also change the volume of the play back in the text reader setting.

What would be even more helpful would be for the dictionary definitions of the scanned words also to be read out. Having to read them would be hard for some readers.

Hi Anil, it works for most of the fonts styles, bold & italic, but probably not for handwriting/ persuasive writing.
The Codpast is it recognise only system fonts. That may be in pursuing writing.

You can use the device as an audio recorder or you can download MP3 & Wav files to the pen and then listen to them.

@@tarunkumar1136 yes it has. According to their website, the C-pen's internal dictionary uses the Collins English Dictionary (30th Anniversary Edition Tenth edition) or Oxford French and Spanish Dictionaries. Hope it helps.
