I love the way they used both the older versions and younger versions of George and Charlotte, swapping them in and out, under the bed. It really emphasizes that they still see each other as they did in the early days.
i cry EVERY single time i see that ending. without fail. such a beautiful love story 😭 one of my favorite aspects is that love isn’t a cure all for his illness. when he wasn’t able to get out of the carriage and reynolds says “he was not fine” & charlotte had that moment of clarity that despite the love & care between them, he will continue to struggle. i thought it was a nice touch.
The layers of sadness at the end always get me. He can't help but see her as young because of his illness, and she has to see him as young because it's all she has to hold on to. They're both living in memories for very different, heartbreaking reasons.
Probably because although all the main characters have experienced loneliness in different ways; Brimsley was condemned to suffer in silence... twice. Violet, Agatha, and Charlotte could all voice their sorrows and somewhat remedy to their situations if they really wanted to... Brimsley couldn't, due to the natures of his profession and love. There's also a component of guilt instilled in the audience for not acknowledging/appreciating him enough in the previous seasons.
I have seen Queen Charlotte a couple of times and over a dozen reactions. Why do I tear up, every time I see Brimsley and Reynolds dancing and Charlotte and George under the bed?
I cried right along with you guys on the end. It proved that George was still very much in there the entire time. It just takes the right person and words to help him make his entrance. My nephew is autistic and he struggles so much just to navigate through his days but he’s definitely in there and this scene reminds me of him. One of the best endings ever in history!!!
"Is this because you do not believe I could love you? I do- I love you George." That line hot so hard. 😢 As someone with a disability/mental health battles it is so real to feel like you are not worthy of love and convincing yourself that you can't/receive it. This mini-series was perfection, it hit such heavy topics in a realistic, painful but beautiful way. ❤❤

Where you guys were crying is exactly the same places that I cried! Personally this is my favourite of the Bridgerton stories, because there are real struggles and challenges within the relationship, not forced struggles for drama's sake. The love seems more real in this compared to the other series, because they have personal struggles as well as struggles that can affect the whole country to overcome. Loved this series.

17:43 I was touched by an interview I saw of the actors. The guy who played young George said that that first scene under the bed was heartbreaking to him because here he was cowering under a bed, while wearing the powerful regalia of a king. I remember when I saw the final scene wondering why they didn't put young George in the same outfit as old George. That's why. Later in the same interview, they mentioned that they shot the final scene four different ways. The older actors, the younger actors, Old George with Young Charlotte, and Young George with Old Charlotte. It makes me wish we could see the different takes.
This is the King we (USA) declared independence from and I was never sympathetic towards him. I laughed at him in Hamilton. The writing did a great job of making him a sympathetic character. Knowing the baby Edward & his wife are having is the future Queen Victoria and Charlotte was not alive when she was born, threw me as I thought the end of this series would be very depressing. But it was brilliant. The ending always gets me. 😭
I believe the reason Charlotte couldn’t be the mother she needed to be was because All her focus had to be on George, making sure his secret didn’t come out and he loses is titled. I’m sure she tried to be both, but at some point it had to be him.
As much as I enjoy Bridgerton, I really loved QC more. I really didn't care for the Queen before, but seeing their story made me warm up to her. I really would love a 2nd season of QC.

The kings mom foreshadowed how Charlotte would end up. The burden of the crown turning them into a hard ruthless woman. Covering their bruises and enduring.
The first song at the ball is "Nobody Gets Me" by SZA, and the song later at the ball, where we see Brimsley and Reynolds dancing together is, of course, "I Will Always Love You" by Dolly Parton, but technically it's the Whitney Houston cover.
That last scene... I've seen it numerous times (once watching and a lot after in reactions) and I freaking ugly cry every time !! It's so emotionaldamn it !
I’d like to see the struggle of THIS George and how he would deal with the parliament and the colonies 🤔. It’s interesting to see him portrayed in so many different light. Sometimes I forget that he’s the same George as portrayed in Hamilton.
It’s such a meaningful ending to their story, the love and utter devotion to all woes.. Still do not understand the criticism this series had when many fans said it wasn’t needed I highly disagree we absolutely needed to see where she started and how she is now.
There was no book for this series so we couldn't compare, but it stands on it's own as the best out of the Bridgerton series. What i got a kick out of is all the weapons hanging on the wall and the 4 of you watching a romance with tears. Great job guys
The doctor was not right. Those "treatments" wouldn't have cured anything. It's better to feel loved and happy in lucid moments than to fill them with humiliation and torture.

In that one particular aspect, he was most certainly correct (as in accurate, not as in morally right) because we see many instances with Charlotte that her voice and choice of words do break through even when George is in the midst of a particularly intense episode. I watched a therapist react to these and she commends Charlotte many times on her choices of what she says, the tone she uses, and the way she speaks to and connects with George. Based on the way the original comment was phrased, I'm fairly certain it was in reference to that particular statement the doctor made, right? I doubt the intent was to defend his morals. He was definitely power hungry and went waaaaay to far, doing things he never should have done.

To say that someone "was right" implies that the people on the other side had opposing ideas. The people who cared for him weren't opposed to talk therapy, they were opposed to the brutality...which was the only difference of opinion.

Charlotte died before George. A comment I read from someone in England was that George died in his sleep under the bed.
