It is and as you see I overstepped the resin depth. But Kinda got away with it. If it was for someone else I'd be sanding where the lines around it are - they are in the shape of the mould. And the back. but as it's for me, I'm happy :)
I will definitely rewatch this amazing video collab. But I think it really turned out beautifully & with a little bit of sanding I’m sure it will be more sparkly. 🩷💜🩷💜🩷
Thank you so much! Yes the top polished up with just a little polishing compound. If I'd been making it for anyone else I'd have got it on Marks bit sander
That came out beautifully in the end. Those roses really do look like real dried roses. I LOVE it. You sounded so deflated when you found it had flash cured and it was not nice to hear. Glad it wasn't as bad as you thought it would be and that made me smile. xx
I'm so sorry you ended up with a flash cure, but the final result is still absolutely gorgeous. I love the rounded shape of the front of the heart and the flowers fit so perfectly in there :)
Thank you so much for this video. I still have to pour deeply and to add flowers. So far I had so much respect for it 🫣 Your pour is great and I love roses 🌹🥰❤️
WOW, Stacey! Those roses are gorgeous! They actually do look like antique, dried roses! For a cake mold, that is pretty shiny. LOVE how this turned out! 💕😊
Beautiful flower preservation piece,Ms Tracey 💜🤩💜,love it's clarity, the flowers (they are intact ❤️) and the smooth and shiny finish Thank you for your wonderful guidance 🙏💜💜💜
Thanks so much 😊 One of your moulds features in my Wednesday premiere. Sadly I've managed to damage it during my craft room move, so I'll be ordering a new one soon
Hi Tracey this still turned out beautiful 😍, you mentioned your room was hot if it's anymore than 25 it can make the resin flash cure, iv had a few times when my rooms been to hot, I try to keep it between 23 and 25, hope that helps, thanks for sharing ❤❤❤ xxx
I’ve had some flash cures and it’s been a lot of work and money wasted. Yours has turned out lovely from the front, you could sand the back and put a coloured layer on it to hide imperfections. I think it’s lovely x
Sooo gutted I couldn’t stay for the chat 😢but I enjoyed the video.. it looks sooo smooth and silky.. I want to stroke it 😅. Loveeed that pink shimmering glitter 💕. And the roses look so real… 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️
You could have coated the flowers before you started with the project. Just paint resin on them next time before you put them in the mold. It will reduce the bubbles from escaping the silk because silk is porous. Lovely flower and heart piece ❤
Awe 😢 instead of asking people to buy you coffee maybe you should change it to buy you flowers... Lol if you are closer to me I would bring you a pile of flowers you lovely lady you❤❤❤❤❤
It gets very hot and cures crazy fast. Bubbles and with some resins discolours. It happens if you pour too deep for the type of resin you used or if the room you set working in is too warm. Usually it ruins the piece but I sorta got away with it this time 😀welcome to resin, do ask away if you have any more questions
How did you polish the resin? Ive tried in the past, going through a bunch of grits of sandpaper (I think i went up to 5000 grit) and then using polishing paste but I still couldn't get it shiny
That's a hefty mould - I'm glad that the flash cure didn't ruin much at all, nice work, Tracey ✨
Yeh I think I got lucky there :) Glad you like it
Wow, that is a deep heart mold. Love how the roses are magnified. 😊

Love how real those roses look, it turned out really pretty❤❤
Thanks, yes I was impressed with how real those roses looked
Awe Flash cure! But it wasn't so bad, and you didn't ruin your mold, so it wasn't such a bad deal! It came out really pretty! Love the pink roses!
I was lucky, I got away with it lol. That resin copes so well with my screw ups :) Glad you liked this one
Those roses are so beautiful and will stay that way ❤
Yes I was pleased with those roses, they look so real
At least when it flash cured, it cured clear!!! It turned out beautiful!
Yeh something I've noticed - when Apex Resin flash cures there's no Yellowing. Next time i'll be using Deep Cast though lol
Those roses look real!! Like real dried roses! 😊
I was impresses with the flowers, considering they weren't expensive either ;)
Those are pretty real looking for fake flowers! It looks beautiful! 💕
They are! I was impressed with the flowers
WOW 😮THAT IS BEAUTIFUL!!! LOVE IT ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!!
It's gorgeous & I love the idea of putting feet on it!!!!
I will be doing that - either cabochons or just clear rubber bumpers
I will definitely rewatch this amazing video collab. But I think it really turned out beautifully & with a little bit of sanding I’m sure it will be more sparkly. 🩷💜🩷💜🩷

Great work Tracey 🤩 This is beautiful even with the flash cure ( which you don't notice because it at the back ) 🥰
thanks, yeh I got away with it to a certain extent. Next time I'll use Apex Deep Cast lol

Turned out absolutely beautiful!! 🫶
Thanks :)
I'm so sorry you ended up with a flash cure, but the final result is still absolutely gorgeous. I love the rounded shape of the front of the heart and the flowers fit so perfectly in there :)
Yes I kinda got away with it. I might get the whole thing sanded off and make a proper mould from it...
Thank you so much for this video. I still have to pour deeply and to add flowers. So far I had so much respect for it 🫣
Your pour is great and I love roses 🌹🥰❤️
Thanks Petra. Ill ldo this again with the correct resin soon - I pushed the resin too far on this one though somehow got away with it lol
WOW, Stacey! Those roses are gorgeous! They actually do look like antique, dried roses! For a cake mold, that is pretty shiny. LOVE how this turned out! 💕😊

That turned out so sweet! I love it! I'll have to try this. I have a deep heart mold and some silk roses. 💖
Have fun - but do use a deep cast resin lol. I was lucky to get away with this
I love this Tracy, with or without the bubbles, I think it is just gorgeous!
Thanks Pauline :)
So beautiful. ❤❤
Glad you like it
that turned out quite lovely
Thanks
The roses are so realistic
They are. I was really impressed with them
Love this! Simple yet elegant ❤
Thank you! 😊
To reduce bubbles in your flowers dip them thoroughly in resin before placing in the mold
I know, but there are no bubbles in the resin or the flowers, other than the layer that flash cured :)
That turned out gorgeous
Thanks
New subscriber! Loved your work! The flowers are gorgeous 😍

Yes, if I was making it for anyone else I would certainly do that :) as it's just for me though, it'll do as it is :) I'm glad you like it

Thanks, but there were no bubbles in the esin, only the ones caused in the layer that flash cured
Not bad 🙂
Thanks Marcy :)
Awe 😢 instead of asking people to buy you coffee maybe you should change it to buy you flowers... Lol if you are closer to me I would bring you a pile of flowers you lovely lady you❤❤❤❤❤
Big hugs. I never ask people to buy me a coffee - I just thank those who do :_
❤
Glad you like it
Hi there, new to resin, what happens when "flash cure" happens?x
It gets very hot and cures crazy fast. Bubbles and with some resins discolours. It happens if you pour too deep for the type of resin you used or if the room you set working in is too warm. Usually it ruins the piece but I sorta got away with it this time 😀welcome to resin, do ask away if you have any more questions

I luv Claire! You do some splendid stuff, Hun. Looking forward to working thru the rest of your videos. Have a blessed day from #anALgirlonplanetMI
Thank you! You too! Yes I Luv Claire too, she's been very good to me as well :)
How did you polish the resin? Ive tried in the past, going through a bunch of grits of sandpaper (I think i went up to 5000 grit) and then using polishing paste but I still couldn't get it shiny
All I did was a cloth and some polishing compound on the top. The rest I list left as it's just for me 😄
@@miniscenesgb ohh okay, thank you
