I tried it. It worked well, 2tbsp of sugar is i think too much, it had overpowering sweet flavor than salty, it doesn't mean it was sweet like candy but it would be better if you use less sugar. And grind rava before adding other items then it will give you a smooth paste. I ate appam after 11 years of coming back from kerala. Thanks for the recipe.

Thank you
Simple and easy recipe , will try today , thanks for sharing
Prakash, since you are intending to make the appams today, there is an option of using eno instead of yeast also...add eno last to the batter just before making the appams and do not rest the batter after adding eno but make it immediately... on the other hand in case you are using dry yeast, activate it first in a little lukewarm water along with sugar and once it froths add it to the batter and follow the procedure as shown in the video...also there are 2 other breakfast recipes that I recommend...the recently uploaded Neer dosa and hot Idli recipes that will save you a lot of time in the kitchen...the taste and texture is as good as the traditional ones but with a fraction of the effort...do try it and if satisfied share it with others so that they can also make yummy food during these pandemic times... waiting for your feedback... regards and take care and stay safe.
Wooow yummy recipe wil definitely try👍👍👍
Madhuri, another recipe that I would recommend is the hot Idli in 15 minutes recipe on my channel that will save you a lot of time in the kitchen... the taste and texture is as good as the traditional ones but with a fraction of the effort... do give it a try also... waiting for your feedback... regards.

Assalamoalaikum. Very nice and beautiful and delicious.
Maam i tried it with eno today. Came out just as well. Only we need to add eno just before making the appams. Thank u for sharing this simple no hazzle recipe
Nice to hear that it came out well with eno.
Can you please tell me, how much Eno salt did you add. Thanks in advance
Verynice.. if u don't want to use yeast instant or dry so what is substitute for it ?? And instead of maida can I use rice flour
You can use 1 tsp baking powder and rest the batter for 30 minutes and then make the appams or add eno to the batter just before making the appams... instead of maida you can use wheat flour.
