    I tried it. It worked well, 2tbsp of sugar is i think too much, it had overpowering sweet flavor than salty, it doesn't mean it was sweet like candy but it would be better if you use less sugar. And grind rava before adding other items then it will give you a smooth paste. I ate appam after 11 years of coming back from kerala. Thanks for the recipe.

    • @IndianMomsKitchen
      @IndianMomsKitchen 3 года назад

      Srishti, usually appams are eaten with some spicy curry and hence appams are made slightly sweet... however, the sweetness can be adjusted according to individual liking...you can also make these appams by adding eno fruit salt instead of yeast...add eno to the batter and make the appams immediately... do not rest the batter after adding eno... you may also try the Idli in 15 minutes recipe on my channel, the link of which I am giving below... taste and texture is as good as the traditional ones but with a fraction of the effort.

      Kirankrishna, one of the aims of our channel is to help everyone make doable and yummy food without compromising on taste or quality in an easy way...we spend hours thinking about new ways of doing recipes easily and then try it out ourselves not knowing for sure whether it will work or not...once we know for sure that it works then only we upload or else we discard it...for every successful recipe there are many failures...our only request is once you have made it and are satisfied please do share the link with your relatives and friends so that they can also make yummy food especially during these pandemic times... also have a look at our latest upload on hot idlis...it's a game changer...it worked for us bypassing all the tedious process without compromising on taste, texture and quality...do try it for your next breakfast... waiting for your feedback.
