My professor for Humanities recommended this video to the whole class. Fantastic understanding of the subject matter and it gave me enough information to put the story into context. Thank you for helping everyone, you are a hero!

You are so awesome, I'm taking a medieval French course for my minor and you really helped summarize the main points of the story. It would be so cool if you could de an analysis on the themes of love and reason and your overall thoughts.

I used to be extremely obsessed with Lancelot as well as King Arthur as a young teen and I really want to rediscover it now!

BetweenLinesAndLife This is a great one. My favorite Chrétien de Troyes romance is Yvain.

Sir Kay is a Knight of Great Honor. He is a Loyal Knight of the Hundreds of Knights of the over 125 knights who served the Kingdom. Who ever wrote that book doesn’t not know history.

This is such a fascinating video. I love Arthurian stories, and I had no idea that they originated in French.

In The Inferno, Francesca and Paolo were reading the story of Guinevere and Lancelot written by Troyes.
Francesca is an imitation of Guinevere, and Paolo imitates Lancelot.
While reading the text, Guinevere and Lancelot fall in love with each other.
Guinevere's husband named Giovanni was unforgiving...

Thank you very much! I was trying to follow an audio book for this book and the reader was talking kind of fast + their translation is rather old so I completely missed what was going on in the beginning and now it all makes much more sense!
I've been quite into the Arthurian legends lately and must say that though Chretien's depiction of Kai is maybe a little unfair it's totally hilarious.
Enfin, merci pour cet lesson, tu as une nouvelle abonnée 😊

I like the story but hate the very difficult enriched french language used to tell the story.
