Its probably because they lost $3.5 million in the previous year. And if you aren't paying close enough attention it's easy to miss another fact. He said that sales were $2.5 million in the previous year and they were projected to only hit close to $2 million in the following year.
Also the fact they were willing to give away 40% of the company later on means that they didn't raise any venture capital and all of the money going into the business was their own. Daymond hates it when people come into the tank when people have raised a bunch of money.

@@sma1616 again since you wanna be ignorant and comment on something you know nothing about, I’ll explain it to not only you but any normal person that doesn’t know how it works but isn’t ignorant enough to comment.
One pound is equal to roughly 3,500 calories. To lose weight, you need to be in a caloric deficit. I’ll dumb it down. Say your maintenance calorie intake is 2500 calories, meaning if you eat 2500 calories a day and don’t workout or any type of exercise, you will not gain or lose weight. So to lose a pound a week, a person must eat 2000 calories a day. 500 UNDER maintenance per day. 500x7=3500. Now a whole pint that’s 240 calories and 20 grams of protein is a big serving, a ton of protein for very little calories. It’s an excellent dieting/cutting food.
If you still don’t understand, I can’t help. I can assume though you probably need a diet
