It took a few years to get there, but I genuinely believe this is what television was invented for.
I dislike using this word, but this is by far the most wholesome fishing show out there. Accurately depicts that most of fishing isn't really about fishing; just hanging out with good mates with a bit of banter.
Sucks that I can’t watch these anymore without crying hysterically about how we won’t have these two angels one day because they’re so vocally aware of their mortality. The best boys in the world, this series will live forever either way❤️
And all is well with the world
After a hard day I’m feeling a bit down I watch an episode of this and I’m in another world of peace and calmness.
You cant beat fly fishing on the river for wild brownies. its what i live for 😊
Wouldn’t it be great if BBC announced series 5? Two lovely men bringing good stuff to all who watch.
its bound to happen buddy.
And it did, enjoy!
When Paul said god bless you father that got me , I used to fish with my late dad I’d give everything away for one day of that again
This series is far too short. I could watch it every week
These two fellas make a little piece of heaven with each video. Thank you two, from my heart, Thank you.
Sir Paul and Sir Bob, yes I like the sound of that 👍
"You're fishing with a buffoon, aren't you."
"Yeh."
Beginning of this horrendous year I was in rehab, got beaten up, escaped, my husband told me I was the lowest form of life, we squared off but basic practicalities meant we had to cohabit. Then I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Two surgeries, much medication, family cut me off, starting radiation treatment next month, then probably chemo. But, you know what - watching these two comic geniuses just prognosticate on life has brought me back down to earth. I am just a speck. The fact that this perfect symbiosis of two charming, witty, vulnerable human beings exists is so restorative. Thanks Paul and Bob.
i hope your still with us
You are both the perfect way to end a day. Thank you Paul and Bob. Stay well x
There's no better feeling than catching a wild brown trout except when you put it it back!
Paul Whitehouse reliving memories of trout fishing on the River Usk with his Dad. Bless you mate.
Absolutely brilliant .I cannot get enough of these two .
Class 👍
Love these two
So simple but so entertaining...bloody love it !
Hope we get another Xmas episode this year.
Last year's episode was filmed really near to me, as i live in the neighbouring village to Bob. It has become a regular day walk to pass the cottage they stayed in haha
Oh I don't know... Gary Avenue?
These 2 put a smile on my face when i watch them. More please! x
When we're old we want to be like Bob and Paul. :)
Not saying you guys are old btw.
Gary Avenue 🤣
A mate of Nigel Close......
@@skookumjack Friends with a lovely French fellow, Carl De Sack.
@@Believe-you-me- is he related to Noel Thru Road?? 🤔😉😄
@@skookumjack No Hue Turn is his name.
@@Believe-you-me- He's one of the No Right Turn's I expect........ This has to Stop, or at least Yield 🤪🤪🤪
Fished there a few weeks back, wonderful place really enjoyed the location and host, uploaded a video but sadly no fish for me this time
Oh when I get a notification of these two " suits you sir ohh" 👍
If I had one day left to fish in my life I'd want to spend it with you two. The fishing is just an awesome backdrop to friends sharing some great time together on the water. You've managed to turn your own fun into great entertainment. But behind it, you're a couple of rogues that I reckon would be awesome fun to spend time with. If you ever visit Australia together and want to head out fishing.......
I am lucky to fish this river each year, would be even better to have these two as my fishing Pals.
Can still remember catching my first trout with my late dad on the fly. Early 80s, was about 13. Blue Shakespeare fly rod, foam handle. lol. Lovely river brown about 3/4lb. You never forget your first fish. Great memory.
Funny if he ran back to find Ted had scoffed the lamb 😂
Brilliant of course ...... Has Paul change his meds? He's really nice to Bob in this one......🤔🤔🤔
Wonderful mirth and banter 👏👏👏
As always great video entertaining and funny , hoping we will have new series 5 by the BBC
Great video love this show.👍👍👍👍
if you have had a bad day watch bob and paul
The best comedy duo ever, brightens up any typical dull English day guaranteed. Bob spend some money on some tackle ya tight bugger and show how Paul how it's done up north. Take care the both of you.👍😷👍🏴
Apologies if it's already been uploaded, but can we have the clip of Bob cracking his rod (easy.😂) off Paul's bonce when they were in a boat fishing up in Scotland? It was comedy gold.
Y'fishin with a buffoon aren't yer - yeh. Love it.
Love it!.
Liked and subscribed purely to cheer Bob up. Keep up the great work gents, love everything you do 👍
This should be prescribed on the NHS, beats pills any day, having said that they take just a few!
No joke. Like drinking the best cup of tea you've ever had
Season 5 please gents.
relaxsation personified i miss fishing just wish i had the time for it
These 2 are national treasures when they die they should be stuffed and put in a museum for future generation to come and just wonder of how things were done.
Keep the crack going lad's✌
Excelente .. .. ..
Awesome trout fishing they were so beautiful and I just loved the scenery I recently did a trout fishing video it is so peaceful especially since I have been distracted with school love that bait that you use I have the exact same one my favourite is the lucky strike spinners thought anyway have a happy Halloween!!
Every time i look at Bob Mortimer all i can see is the Geordie footballer “Kick Head Smuuuuurke” sketch with vic reeves 🤣
😂 It's a classic.
use the fishermen handshake? Great vlog!
Could you put up the original "and awayyyy" video in the caravan? 😂😂
I'm only here to try to cheer up our Bob at the end of the videos. I'll keep trying.
There's so much of the old Top Gear segments in these establishing and landscape shots; I'd be amazed if there was no poaching of personnel involved. :-D
Lovely, inspired to take out my cane 4 weight(:
these need to be 1 hour long like passion for angling was as 30 mins is just not enough.
Tidy 👍
I am waiting for Bob to fall is, suspense.
👍❤❤
💜💜💜👍👍👍👍
I’m wondering if Humble Pie Mortimer has good balance in his catering menus?
Is there anywhere you haven't been fishing before ,That you both would like to go .🐋
How about Bob brings a few of his Athletico Mince characters on these fishing trips.....
Gary Avenue
Can anyone tell me what net Paul is using please
Hated the fishing, loved the lamb chuncks.
:-)
I don't normally subscribe to stuff. But that genuinely made me feel guilty for not subscribing.
Fishing = Torturing animals for fun.
Catch and release fishing is banned in Germany and Switzerland for a reason. Animal welfare.
I saw Paul in « Only Fools and Horses » last night at the Haymarket… he played Grandad and Uncle Albert and was utterly brilliant… as was the whole show.
