This episode is exactly what I've been looking for, and it delivered. Thank you. I'm styling my Vancouver bachelor after a hotel room - the Bulari suite in Beijing.

You are both so much fun !! Great video full of wonderful tips and ideas .. my sister works for a Five Star hotel chain in the Middle East so she understands luxury and comfort on a completely different level . She always says that she wants her room to look and feel like one of her hotels because they are everything a person needs to feel pampered and special . I’m forwarding this video to her right now ! ❤️
I've been on a super tight budget for a long, long time, so I never stay at hotels. My big win recently was turning 70 mid-September and my children bought me a new hybrid mattress and bed frame. I've actually gotten over 8 hours sleep every night - I thought 3 to 4 hours sleep was normal for 2 decades!
Sounds like you were long overdue for that mattress!! And we love visiting friends in other cities and have traveled a lot like that and genuinely love that too!
Mandalay Bay is my favorite hotel, not for the location, but for the gorgeous exotic, zen, Asian -inspired feel. When it came time to add a master bath addition to our ranch home, we tried to get that feel, including rich dark mahogany "barn doors" with bamboo glass inserts to divide the bedroom from the bath. and touches including a very large Buddha art piece from Bali and a large bird of paradise, and we re-purposed a vintage mid-century dresser with some Asian-inspired details for the vanity. It was a really fun project and I just love it. Coconut scented candles add to the vibe.
I'm a retired designer (do we ever retire?) and I LOVED this topic! I feel the same way about hotel design: the details, the textiles, the zones and in really lovely places, the carefree or laser focus on fabulous furniture, accessories and ambience! This was fun to listen to, and I loved your visual examples! I also got a great chuckle at going to another hotel (that is more expensive) to just experience it! Great tip! Vive la champagne bars!
I love LaFonda in Santa Fe N.M. That’s what I love to remember to decorate my place. The smell of piñon pine alludes me, but southwest blankets and rugs make it my cozy winter thanksgiving through New Year look.
For my 50th birthday we booked a villa in Gordes, Provence ( which was spectacular and is still my most cherished trip) but planned 1 night in Cannes at the Ritz ( now called Intercontinental Carlton ) as it was the last day of the Cannes film festival and we thought we'd do some fun star-gazing. We were absolutely giddy when we opened the doors to our suite and felt every bit like Hollywood royalty when we stepped into the most incredible luxury we had ever encountered. Thankfully we had brought the right wardrobe to suit the environment but our rented Fiat gave us away as we drove up to the entrance past Ferraris and Jags and Mazaratis! ;-) LOVE all your content! xoxo
I love the happy loving dynamic between Valentia and Jack! Such an amazing couple with great tips and tricks. Can't wait to hear from you both again! I had great inspiration from our trip to the Dominican Republic in 2015. The hotels and the decor were to die for!
How can ANYONE give thumbs down.... the two of you GOT IT GOING ON, BIGTIME! 😊 From NYC - last year needed a quick weekend getaway with hubby and went to the SOFITEL in downtown Philadelphia. First ever boutique hotel experience - what a sexy weekend! Check out the rich colors and lighting! Be gone COVID - we need to travel again!
Hi Val, SO, I did this very thing several years ago with our favorite beach local as my inspiration. And before you knew it MY HUBBY HATED IT. He said leave it at the BEACH. Now, I can’t have anything beachy in our Indiana home. It all has been a process to de-beach the house. Lol 😂 French country here I come!!!!! Haha. XX
Oh no!! We did the same thing with the beach feel a few years ago and it just felt off in our home! Hopefully French country will feel more like you! Lol! xx
I adore the two of you! You have lifted my spirit. You are so right, a hotel can give so many great ideas. I have traveled quite a bit and know I will start writing down my favorite things in order to transform my personal space. Instead of that, what is your going rate? 😁
Eaton in DC is an awesome place to stay. It’s an immersive experience - beautiful rooms (which come with record players), restaurants, lobby, speakeasy, etc.!
Hands down the Four Seasons Hotel in Berlin the best hotel I've ever stayed at!!! Intercontinental in Hong Kong and Paris, Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco are all runners up.
One of the coolest hotels I’ve stayed at is the Malmaison Oxford, UK. It’s an old prison and some of the rooms are actually the old cells. But the whole place is magical. They have beautiful lanterns lit at night on the pathway leading to the entrance. And the bar! Omg it’s double height and stunning. Sets a great mood.
I particularly love the Broadmoor Hotel & Resort in Colorado Springs, Colo. It has not only spectacular scenery but the many lobbies are all elegant and just scrumptious decor. The rooms are fabulously decorated too! 5-star at it’s finest❤️
Love your videos! Will have to pay more attention to the next hotel rooms we stay in. One of the best was a in Hawaii. Wish I could bring that feeling back with me!
I want a House of Valentina T-shirt or some cool merch...you have totally inspired me. I have been home since March and I have totally transformed my little casita. My living room is now BLACK and it’s freaking gorgeous! I used Benjamin Moore Aura in a matte Jet Black. You guys are amazing thank you so much for sharing your expertise and inspiring me to zhuzh it up proper.
My most memorial stay at a hotel was at the Sheridan Hotel in New Orleans for a Mensa Convention, we left 1 day before Wilma hit. The room was masculine with plush pillows, leather headboards and a lot of plaid.
We LOVED staying at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel in CA and made such great memories! I didn’t want to decorate my house like it because it was a little too energetic for my taste of how I want my home to feel but I decided to theme my daughter’s 2nd birthday party based on the hotel! I called it “Disney at the beach” theme 😍🥳 it was a huge hit! All the Mickey and friends characters, kinetic sand, beach backdrop photo booth, buckets and shovels for snacks, palms 😁👌🏻🥳
I love listening to you two! Thank you so much for sharing your expertise! I am so excited to transform my spaces from mismatched thrift to hotel inspired chic
Loved all the tips! I’ve also visited hotels that I wasn’t staying at to look at their styling. I love going to check out a hotel restaurant and afterwords take a little tour. Thank you for this!
Planing a trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, never been there, very exited. Thanks for the tips. FYI because of the situation the prices are great.
You two are hilarious, adorable and so inspiring! I share your love for upscale hotels and always say a forlorn goodbye in the room and lobby when I leave, sniff...so this video is one of my favs. And yes, Montana is gorgeous. Go, and do a video! 👏🍊🍁🍂🍃👏
Colorado… one home in the foothills, another mountain home in Fraser a ski resort. Happy and grateful. Life is peaceful in both locations. Favorite hotel in Co. Beaver Creek , Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa. 👍🏻
these videos are full of so much helpful content! I love these realistic tips that I can include in my loft style townhouse! Love from Las Vegas! Thank you house of Valentina!
We live in Des Moines. 🤣 I recommend The Hotel Biltmore (luxury hotel ON Biltmore property). You have to tip a lot. The in house restaurant is incredible (at least it was 10yrs ago). The whole experience is very inspiring and romantic.
I LOVE Disney World Resorts in Florida . I was married in the Yacht Club Pavilion in the Epcot area where the Beach Club and Boardwalk Resort are also located . The Dolphin is adjacent and Is also lovely and recently refurbished . I love Vermont Inns and also think the Conrad in Dublin Ireland was fantastic .
!😁Thank you for this. We are turning our basement apartment into an Airbnb and YOU are what we need! We won't use this style but my favorite hotel experience ever was at the Auberge du Soleil, a Relais and Chateau in Sonoma CA. I adored the chalky white adobe interior walls, arched doorways and bright pink canvas overstuffed furniture, plus an enormous open domed fireplace. It was beautiful and heavenly.
Very inspiring couple to watch for. Dreaming to travel more despite the current pandemic and will start to feel the hotel vibes, which I took for granted in my early travels. Thanks for this video, it's not late though.
I’m into lighting too. Not a guy thing at all. And I’m into a mix of cool, neutral & warm light too. 💡 Love this idea. Going through my travel photos now bc I always took pics of my room before suitcases come in. Hugs & Kisses from Long Island 💋
My latest favorite is the Miramar in Montecito, CA. My husband and I had a getaway weekend and stayed in the beach cottages right on the ocean. Excellent restaurants and impeccable service and environment.
Hi Valentina! Great question!!! My favorite this far has been the one in Puerto Rico. La Concha Renaissance. What a beautiful hotel resort in San Juan.
I shot a wedding at Buffalo Thunder outside of Santa Fe, Nm a few years ago. The governor's suite was one of the most beautiful modern southwestern style rooms I've ever seen. Pictures don't do it justice.
Hmmm tough choice! I’ve stayed at some really awesome hotels but one I enjoyed was the Venetian on the Las Vegas strip. Their gym was so huge that it had a rock climbing wall in it. In addition, the hotel lobby and our room were incredible.
Grand Beach Hotel Bay Harbor in Miami is my favorite. I’m from south Florida and love how “sexy” and modern the hotel is! 🖤 My second favorite is the Westin Peachtree near you guys! We stayed there when I was in college for a cheerleading competition and I just loved the room! I also liked the rotating restaurant on the top. 🤣
I love looking at hotels and actually made a room at home, eight years ago, that I call The Hotel Room. A nice hotel in Sweden is for example The Lamp Hotel. Here I would love to go to Görvälns slott and also to The Ice Hotel that is totally made of ice. I think Las Vegas has some cool hotels, and restaurats. Marrakech has El fenn that is sooo cool and I just loved to be there. But some of the best spaces I've been to, are actually really small and genuine, and not real hotels. For example on a greek island, where we stayed in the most lovely super tiny room/apartment at a roof, with view over the water and the genuine small town. 💖 Thank you for this video and channel! 😊💕
Your tips were great and I feel the same minimal things in the room ! I have my wall Behind the bed as you have a lighter gray than that and then even lighter on the sides. Everything looked very nice thank you
Valentina...you have the most BEAUTIFUL name and it totally matches YOU...gorgeous! You and Jack have such great chemistry! What a great couple! Enjoy watching you two together. Inspirational marriage! Great video, very educational ! Who doesn't want a hotel bedroom! I'm all about that for my husband and I!
We Love to Travel as well We Go to Mackinaw Island A ton and stay on the Island usually for a week and we love to check out all the hotels on the Island..lol In Chicago we love to stay at many hotels Downtown as well, even though we live right out side of Chicago..lol We love the old and the new. We stay a lot at the Silversmith Hotel Good price and newly renovated and right by the lake... Love the video❣️
I had stayed in the tallest hotel in Canada once for almost 70 days. :) Well the most impressive hotel stay to me so far is Radisson Collection Hotel in Moscow.
It wasn’t a hotel, it was a room above a pizza restaurant in the Jungfrau region of Switzerland. I was 12. That was 35 years ago! There was a vaulted ceiling, skylights, and all the bedding was made of natural fibers. The pillows were feathers with cotton. The duvet cover was textured cotton over a feather comforter. There was even a feather bed topper. All the furniture was pale natural wood. The room smelled like fresh dough and pizza! Is there a pizza diffuser for the days I don’t bake homemade? 😂
My fave in the UK (my home) is the Great Northern in London, right next to St Pancras Station & ideal for the Eurostar to Paris. This is an updated old railway hotel, done with such care. Because the building is a crescent shape, each room is a different proportion, & beautifully custom-designed to ensure every cubic inch is maximised.
I love the Biltmore Inn at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. Also the Grand Bohemian in Asheville right outside the Biltmore Estate. The Plaza in NYC and usually similar places. The Big Cedar Lodge in MO is pretty cool as well. The Princess Resort in Cancun had an amazing loft. Obviously Vegas hotel rooms like the Venetian, Wynn, Aria etc. are amazingly luxurious. The hotels in Qatar and other Middle Eastern countries are very high end and comfortable.
I love staying in luxurious hotels. I’m currently in Santa Barbara at the Hotel Californian, it’s divine! Some of my favorites: One Aldwych & Charlotte Street Hôtel (London); Hotel de Nell (Paris); The Charlie & Hotel Covell (L.A.); Confidante (Miami). I’m dying to stay at a Rosewood hotel (any of them!). I’ll have to save up.
Valentina, thank you for the usual excellent content. Today I was expecting how to make MY ROOM into a hotel excellence standard. Will you please tell us in a video and link diff options for mattress, pillows, sheets, towels , scents, tips etc? I really want to know what and where to get it. My br is my favorite place in my home and love to learn how to improve it. Thanks! BTW , I already saw your video on how to make your br look expensive( I think) Love your husband's wise tips and attitude!!! You guys rock!!! Hygge and class !
I’ve been subscribed to your channel for some time now and I don’t seem to get any notifications on when you upload, have you ever been to Australia 🇦🇺? I’m sitting here enjoying catching up on your past videos at 11pm. Love your style tips even though I’m more Hampton style myself but can still incorporate some of your tips into my home. Happy Holidays. Best Wishes and Kindness from Queensland Australia 🇦🇺❤️❤️
this is totally not related to your recent video, but I desperately NEED your help! I admire your design ideas and I have become crazy about your bold choice of black&white/gray paint for the interior. Recently my artner and I picked a very neutral light gray and we painted our entire main floor with this gray against black on a few accent walls/corners. The black looks amazing but the gray has a very noticeable blue undertone that is just driving me crazy! I read so many things online and now I realize the gray is very tricky when it comes to the natural/artificial light the room receives, whether it's a north-facing room or not etc.. My only solution is to paint again... or at least repaint the walls that are most blue-ishhhh.. any advice on what would be the right gray (especially if I am looking for the lightest gray that is not too close to white)? or would you advise me to go for white on some of most blue looking gray walls instead? Honestly, even though I am 8 months pregnant, and I need to just relax and zen! but I would repaint those walls myself if I have to.. so that this annoying blue just disappear! 😁
Congratulations on your pregnancy!! Grey colors are definitely tricky, and it is hard to match the undertones to the accents in a room as well as the different lighting! Here is a video we have on paint colors if that interests you: ruclips.net/video/g5Yuu1I-V-s/видео.html . It is difficult to give specific advice on a room without seeing it, but I recommend sampling the colors on every wall to make sure it looks okay in different areas and at different times of day!! If you would like, we do virtual design sessions on our website where I could sit down with you and give specific advice! Here is the link for that as well! www.houseofvalentina.com/virtual-design-1 . I hope that helps! - V
The Siam Kempinski hotel in Bangkok, was the best hotel we stayed during our six month travel around the world. 1st class all the way and the best part was I got a deal on the suite through Hotel. com.
This episode is exactly what I've been looking for, and it delivered. Thank you. I'm styling my Vancouver bachelor after a hotel room - the Bulari suite in Beijing.

You two are magnificent ! Delightful. And people can be inspired not only with your decorating ideas, but also how to treat one another.
🥰 that’s so kind! Thank you!
Wished you styled an actual room instead of just talking about it. Although you two are very entertaining to watch.
We will be doing a series on styling rooms soon!! Thank you for the kind constructive criticism and for the support xx - V
Hi,
Valentina has a bedroom styling video. Why not check out her playlist? 😊
Yes it says budget but no tips or ideas on where to go to buy

That sounds absolutely amazing. 🖤🖤
Find a candle or artisanal candle maker from the area who is willing?

Our favorite is Hotel 1898 Barcelona, Spain. The decor is so beautiful we’ve gone back 2X.
Kim Markowitz I stay their for my honeymoon in 2007 we love it the location was the best!
How can ANYONE give thumbs down.... the two of you GOT IT GOING ON, BIGTIME! 😊

Accor Hotels do it right. No surprise it’s French
Nice information but it would have been nice to have been walked through a few more examples of how to use this in our homes.
Thank you, I will keep that in mind for upcoming videos!!
I would love to know which details would be most impactful if you’re working with a tiny budget! Thanks!! 🥰
Hi Val, SO, I did this very thing several years ago with our favorite beach local as my inspiration. And before you knew it MY HUBBY HATED IT. He said leave it at the BEACH. Any Four Seasons I’ve ever stayed in has been absolutely wonderful. Plus their service is top notch!
Eaton in DC is an awesome place to stay. It’s an immersive experience - beautiful rooms (which come with record players), restaurants, lobby, speakeasy, etc.!
We will definitely be checking that out!
Kevin Lee Yes! I live 20 minutes from there, but I stayed at the Eaton after a wedding reception just for the experience.
You both are adorable! I need a celebrity name for you guys! ☺️
Vajack? Nah
Javatina maybe
Lol, I’m so bad at this. 🤣
Cheers to you both
Thats hilarious!! I have never thought to come up with a ship name, we'll have to work on that!! Lol xx

My most memorial stay at a hotel was at the Sheridan Hotel in New Orleans for a Mensa
Convention, we left 1 day before Wilma hit.
🍂 You two are great together! With all due respect, your guy is very cute Valentina! Those hotels are a dream! 🍂TFS
Thank you! He is a little 🥜 but I love him!
Please continue this as a series!!!! I moved into a 400 sq ft apartment and I'm trying to decorate it like it's a upscale Asian hotel!
Yesssss! When Valentina mentioned there was so much more to talk about I was like part 2?!!!hopefully she makes more of these videos.

My latest favorite is the Miramar in Montecito, CA. My husband and I had a getaway weekend and stayed in the beach cottages right on the ocean. Excellent restaurants and impeccable service and environment.
Really enjoyed this! I love all your videos, but really like it when Jack joins you!
My dream hotel suites: the Tower suite at the Four Seasons Gresham in Budapest; a bi-level suite at the Four Seasons Bosphorus in Istanbul.
The most luxurious hotel I stayed in, surprisingly was in Venezuela. You felt like royalty there!
Hi Valentina! Great question!!! My favorite this far has been the one in Puerto Rico. La Concha Renaissance. What a beautiful hotel resort in San Juan.

Okura Prestige in Bangkok. It was SO luxurious. I’ve yet to find as nice of a hotel. The food was incredible too! It’s my measuring stick.
Amen to the good things that others said about you... Plus, can we have a shoutout for Jack's shirt?

There was even a feather bed topper. All the furniture was pale natural wood. The room smelled like fresh dough and pizza! Is there a pizza diffuser for the days I don’t bake homemade? 😂
My fave in the UK (my home) is the Great Northern in London, right next to St Pancras Station & ideal for the Eurostar to Paris. This is an updated old railway hotel, done with such care. Because the building is a crescent shape, each room is a different proportion, & beautifully custom-designed to ensure every cubic inch is maximised.
It’s not a male thing - lighting is so important!
I am a homebody and enjoy being home in my on comfortable spot
Pelican Hills in Newport Beach is second-to-none. Italian, old world, elegance.

The Andaz Hotel London Liverpool Street - absolutely stunning!
Beautiful! So how to on a budget? 😆
Never mind it won’t be a problem for me to replicate Holiday Inn Express, Econolodge, Red Roof Inn.... teehee
Any W hotel is amazing! And for the young millennials, the Loft is more their style😉

Love several hotels in South Beach. Tidewater, Delano, Shore Club to name a few.
this is totally not related to your recent video, but I desperately NEED your help!
@@HouseofValentina Thank you so much it was very helpful
