    I've mentioned in another video of yours my preference for using Fluorescent colours on my lures. I couldn't believe my eyes when a shon a BLACK LIGHT on them in the dark. It's exactly what the fish see when they come across fluorescent colours the lure light's up like a Christmas Tree... Try it out you'll be amazed, it's the sole reason why fish strike at fluorescent lures and it's no coincidence that major lure companies are adding fluorescent paints to their lures.
    They even work in coloured water. But I've an idea that all I've mentioned is old news to you, I just thought that I'd mention it just incase. Another excellent video BIG THUMBS UP 👍😷👍

      You’re 100% correct though! It’s crazy to see the fluorescent paints under a UV light, so bright!

    Good Video, as a newbie, I bought a bunch of paints, from cheap craft to expensive airbrush paints, I bought what I thought I needed.
    I used a airbrush with a 3.8mm nozzle, now 90% of those paints don’t get used, with experience I’ve changed almost 100% of what I do, now 90% of my painting is done with a .2 and .3mm airbrush, my base coats are done with a Paache Type H.
    I now use mostly Transparent, Translucent, inks, color shift, and very friendly airbrush paints.
    I can’t stress enough about using the correct paints for your nozzle size!

      Fantastic advice Mark! So true about matching the paint to the brush, for ease of use and ease of cleaning. I have yet to pull the trigger on inks-I feel like I’d be opening Pandora’s box lol
      All this being said, it sure is a great feeling to walk out of the hobby store with a bag stretched at the handles with new airbrush paint :)

      Are you spraying a mid coat clear on your baits to put the tape on. Just wandering if it would pull the paint up without it?

    • @havenlures
      @havenlures  Год назад

      I use painters tape from Home Depot, it’s made to not pull up paint when removed. All I do is make sure the paint is dry, and if I used a heat gun-make sure it’s not warm to touch before applying the tape

      @@havenlures was that the green or blue painters tape. I’ve got the yellow which is for delicate surfaces, the green and the blue

    • @havenlures
      @havenlures  Год назад

      I use the green and find it works great. I’ve never tried the yellow before, does it adhere well enough to not allow paint to sneak under?

      Not sure what they were called the supplier doesn’t have them anymore, but to be honest, it’s for the best. A 20 pack had about 6 that ran the way they should

    How much would you charge to repaint the color on the lure?

    • @havenlures
      @havenlures  Год назад

      The biggest cost would be shipping it back and forth. How about you email me at havenlures@gmail.com and we’ll figure it out.
