There's a super useful shortcut to skip the half the ladder on tower. jump from top wood, around the invisible walls of the barrels, onto the hanging black lamp. from there jump onto the ladder. the best power position in the game and you can parkour up to it.

So sure using a glitch could mean exploiting but you didn't use a glitch nothing malfunctioned or anything wasn't irregular, you used everything by design. What you did do is use elements of a game system in a manner not intended by the game's designers. Which is the whole of the definition.
