Ozil was at his best at Real Madrid and Arsenal. His last two seasons at Arsenal, the manager was benching him a lot. He's currently at Fenerbahce (a club in Turkey). At 33 years old now, he can't get to the level he used to be.
I think the he was getting benched at Arsenal is that he wasn't putting in enough work

Ozil's descent:He played for Germany in the 2018 WC but Germany got grouped. Fans and the media mainly blamed Ozil for the losses bcos Ozil is Turkish Descent. Ozil was heartbroken after that He retired from German National team and told he would never play internationally. Soon,he fell out with the Arsenal board also and he was forced to leave. At club level he now plays for Fenerbahce in Turkey's top division( he is a regular starter ofc). That is Ozil's sad story which should never have been like this 😭😭

Ronaldo was REALLY upset when Ozil left Real Madrid because he got all of his goals from Ozil. Ozil's decline happened because of Arsenal's decline. Arsenal over the past couple seasons have been performing poorly with new managers being hired and fired consecutively. Ozil was not a hard worker in training and the managers did not appreciate this so they left him out of match day squads. This removal from the first team, demotivation because of Arsenal's poor league performance, and his poor work habits ended his career.

True, and I would also like to add that he’s a bit of a sensitive player. Nothing wrong with that, he just didn’t respond to tough love well at all and his performance suffered under managers who didn’t consider this a priority. Also he was being paid a ton through all of this which didn’t help his relationship with the club and fans

This compilation didn’t even show his famous bounce chip shot. Scored it vs Liverpool and many other teams. He is virtually the only one to master it. Instead of lifting the ball from under he hits the ball into the ground which gives it the height of a chip but with more power. A true genius, this compilation didn’t do him justice tbh.

The Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke (gained money by marrying the family ownership of walmart) wanted to keep his connections with China good so demanded that Ozil will be shunned as much as possible only appearing in lower round cup games from 2019-2021

Arsenal fan here to give you the rundown on Mesut. Long story short when Arteta became Arsenal manager he played a few games and then they basically fell out because Arteta likes a certain type of player - fighters, runners, guys that aren't necessarily too skillful but will leave everything out there every game, and Ozil just isn't like that, he's more of an artist. The type of dude that plays when he feels like playing.
And after a year of sitting on the bench at Arsenal we sold him to Fenerbache (big Turkish club) and now he's balling out in Turkey.
