- Chris Lee and Chase Robinson share the Southeastern 16 staff's SEC football power rankings for Week 7 in the 2024 season. Topics include:
Alabama lost a stunner at Vanderbilt. Good sign: the offense may be as explosive as ever. Bad sign: The front seven isn’t playing to Alabama standards.
Arkansas pulled a stunner over Tennessee with defensive coordinator Travis Williams coming up with a genius game plan.
Auburn didn’t turn it over but still couldn’t beat Georgia.
Florida won a difficult matchup with UCF; are the Gators quietly improving?
Georgia scored a needed win over Auburn.
Kentucky rested after a big win over Ole Miss and now faces a tricky matchup with Vanderbilt.
LSU also rested and prepares for a big showdown with Ole Miss.
Mississippi State got a needed bye week before facing Georgia next week.
Missouri looked all-around awful in a blowout loss at Texas A&M.
Oklahoma had a week to get healthy before it faces Texas.
South Carolina had troubles moving the ball in a difficult weekend against Ole Miss.
Tennessee’s defense was solid but its offense couldn’t throw the ball downfield in a loss at Arkansas.
Texas A&M may have looked as impressive as anyone in the SEC after waxing Missouri thanks to a terrific running game and more.
Vanderbilt pulled the stunner of the college football season with an upset of Alabama. Is Diego Pavia the SEC Player of the Year to date?

Serious question: Looking at the AP Top 25, who has Ole Miss, Clemson, Iowa State, or LSU beaten so far that warrants them being ranked higher than Texas A&M?
I understand these are difficult but I have a question.
How is Oklahoma ranked above Arkansas? Sure they had the bye so they didn’t lose, but that means they didn’t win either. Arkansas beat the opponent who beat Oklahoma. I’m confused.

Not talking smack, but where would you realistically put UK? Vandy and Arkansas just had huge wins and USC who beat you is behind you. I could see yall higher also but either way I don’t think it’s “wild”
@@RightSaidFredo Power rankings puts way more stock into a result 2 days ago than last week or earlier. So 12 is fair being that so many teams are either coming off a great win (Ark, Vandy) or straight up better even after a loss (Tennessee, Bama, etc). Next game if UK does well, we’ll be right back up to ~8 depending on how other teams do next week

Bama's defense was exposed when they allowed Georgia to come back and take the lead. Then they allowed Vandy to put 40 on them. Don't tell me Bama is just fine. They have major defensive issues.

Whatsup Chase & Chris was a rough Saturday for my Vols 💯 but they having issues moving the 🏈 which if you cant do that in the SEC your gonna struggle but I think the issues Tennessee having on offense can be corrected and after them losing to Arkansas this past Saturday I think it will open Tennessee's Offense eyes and they gonna cleanup the mistakes mostly presnap penalties and that's why their Offense is struggling mostly that and the Oline was atrocious against Arkansas for some reason but it can be fixed and I'm confident Coach Heupel & Oline Coach Glen Elarbee will fix the mistakes and go out and compete with Florida in Neyland 🏟️ this Saturday 💯!

Your problem isn't Brady Cook. Your problem is Drink and the coaching staff. The team doesn't have any fight. Watching Luther Burden hang his head and quit in the 1st quarter when things didn't go his way, told me all I needed to know about this team. They lost the will to fight before the end of the 1st half. That's on coaching.
@@chopkong the A&M game I totally agree. They didn’t even act like they wanted to be there. The season as a whole though Cook has been subpar to average at best.
Cook had his moments against A&M. He can lead yall to a good year but he needs help.

Texas is not ranked number one by default. They are ranked number one because as of the present time, at least, they are the best team in the SEC.

@@spiffymcgee8709 If Texas has not played anyone, Georgia has not played anyone. Personally, I think they have both played one good team. Texas' best win was against Michigan, who lost at Washington. Georgia's best win was against Alabama, who lost at Vanderbilt.
