This is the most "keepin it real" review out there. I honestly love the low budget video, dampening of sound effects, and the random hilarious lines and scenes. Never change. You got a subscriber for life.
Its the only car of its kind. A Sport Econo, Affordable AWD standard, Top Mount Intercooler, Turbo Sedan. According to Iseecars, the WRX holds the Highest Resale Value in the Small Sedan Category, Beating the Honda Civic/Fit. The Tacoma of the Truck World in terms of Value.
We did not really factor the screen projection too much into the overall result of the review, just thought it was weird behavior that neither of us had ever really seen. Thank you for adding the additional context!
Android Auto is the half screen. Apple CarPlay uses the full screen. But they still require a cord. Some other Subaru models are wireless. I believe some also have a USB-C port, as well.
they fked up w/ this one by not offering wireless charging on top of wireless android/apple. even the jdm version doesn't have wireless charging and they get extra features like 12 inch lcd instrument cluster.
Cooked em lol. Regardless of height, the seat doesn't get low enough to feel like you're "in" the car. More "on it" which in my opinon makes it feel like you're driving something that isn't as sporty as this.
Not at this price point, and that's kind of always been Subaru's schtick. If you love that fast AWD flow, it's this or a used S4 (which $35k-ish gets you a lot of)
@@KeithSchwerin Yes, you can get a Golf R with a manual but, those start at $44K where as the WRX (almost fully loaded) is $6K cheaper. Both are great options, just depends on the budget!

FYI....The half-screen for Android Auto is not the fault of Subaru. It's the lack of a update or future programming for Android versus Apple.

Yeah the half screen Android Auto with Maps is probably my biggest annoyance with it.
the fullscreen android auto update is supposedly getting released at the end of December this year
Thank you!
@@kaokao9k oh man I hope so - that would definitely up my usage of it immediately.

I bought the 23 wrx bc I can fit a body in the trunk, without breaking a sweat. AND is standard on all models!!! Yea!!!
I have a 23 base model and my Google maps takes up the top screen (base gets 2 smaller screens) which is the exact size shown on your larger screen.
Excellent review/content guys....love the unscripted in-car thoughts. Subscribed!
Can you hear the turbo spool up when you have the window down?
ehhhhhhh a little bit. 2nd gear yeah, but then it's too loud from the wind noise.
No. You can't.
You wish the driving position was lower? You look like you’re 5’-6” tall!

It's true. It doesn't go low enough even as a short guy
I have a ‘23 and don’t have that issue with CarPlay
We've heard that Subaru has made an update to its infotainment system, so you're right, this shouldn't be an issue from '23 on.
I have the 2022 base model CVT & CarPlay works on the full screen.
you guys know nothing about this car. It's not the same old engine, other than it being a boxer configuration.
It’s a new engine though :(
yuuuup. they know nothing.....
If you want a manual awd you don't really have any other options

@@KeithSchwerinGolf R is going for 50-55k. Not a good comparison.
