I had both pre and post facelift MK2 Clio in period and both had issues with airbag warning light. In both cases it was the block connector under the front seats which Renault ended up soldering in the end.
@@robertjames2011 well it's helped me anyway but perhaps not in the way intended. I'm currently removing the dash in my 97 Mégane coupe to try to get at the heater matrix.
@@robertjames2011 sadly not so simple on the Magane. It's behind the centre of the dash so dash needs to come out as does the n/s wiper and blower motor to undo the heater distribution box. No wonder Renault time it as an 8 hour job for a trained technician. Probably end up closer to 8 days for me. 🤣🤣🤣
hibernia-nation hi yes it will come up from under the carpet under the seat and connect to the seat sometimes you can disconnect this wire in the middle where a connector is located, spray some contact cleaner in the connection and re connect do this for both passenger seat and driver seat. I recommend trying this first as it is the most common cause for the airbag light and the easiest to carry out.
Q!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No it didn't need fitting because when I removed the airbag the old clock spring wasn't connected to the back of the airbag so connected it back up and light went out

Yes that’s the most common airbag fault on the Renaults, the video is highlighting the more uncommon airbag faults.

Usually the heater matrix can be located in the passenger side behind the glove box, another easy fix and common fault on the Renaults

😂😂😂 sorry to hear mate but good luck with it, let me know how you get on
While it wasn't connected was your horn not working? Just had same problem but my horn isn't working either.
portvalefanjosh 5 everything else was working including the horn it was just the airbag light on
Hi, do you think this same method will apply to a Renault Trafic 2004? I am having the same issue with my van.
hibernia-nation hi yes I think this could be the problem for you if you have tried all the usual symptoms like the connectors underneath the seat
robert james Thanks for your reply. I haven't tried the connections under the seat. Are they easy to access?

robert james Thanks a million for these helpful tips. Hopefully one of these methods works. I'll keep you notified anyway. Thanks again.
