This should have been a free patch and y'all know it. Very slightly improving a handful of graphical settings is not what anyone considers to be a remaster, especially since it looks almost identical to the PS4 version running on PS5.

I must confess I have completed the first game multiple times on my PS4, and I am now on my second play through on the remade Part 1. I have done Pt2 a couple of times, and will buy the remastered version, I just dont have the same love of it, that Pt 1 has.
I cant help but think the canceled multiplayer game would be perfect on this. It doesn't need to be upkept or polished. We wouldn't need battlepasses or skins just the experience. Factions did so well and still has a strong community. Its honestly a shame to just let the project die after the devs said it had so much potential.
I agree. My excitement for Factions was bigger than GTA 6. From what I gathered it would’ve been a live service game with a long lifespan that required 100% of their resources. But the fact that they canceled it right after The Day Before tanked makes me think the suits are behind the decision. But what do I know. Naughty Dog is my favorite game developer I just hope we continue to get fantastic games from them.

This just made me realize that Part II originally should have been advertised like this, without hiding Joel’s death instead of using modified cutscenes and making it look like the one who died was actually Dina. They should never have used false advertising. You can’t justify that
True. I enjoyed the game and accepted how events unfolded. But the trailers were deliberately false advertising so people were rightly annoyed in that regard.
Just make sure to play Part 1 first, it’s also brilliant and directly part of the same story. Part 2 is much stronger after playing Part 1, story-wise.

I went from "I don't need this" to "I need this" in no time. Can't see a huge graphical upgrade which... is fair since the original looks spectacular. But still - excited to play through this again in its best possible form.

Abbey is the worst. It was an odd game decision to allow the player to cause their hated enemy to run into clickers over and over again. The only problem was it didn’t show an “End game” screen at that point.

Just played Lost Levels. Not what I expected, but interesting and somewhat cool to play deleted content. Although, I'm glad they were all cut, even though I'm curious of what else was cut and changed overall. The Hunt boar event was weird and kinda stupid. The Jackson Party is fun, but the timing of playing that after the end would have been odd. The Sewers is kinda cool though. For The Last of Us Part 3, I do hope Ellie has more PTSD episodes, and I hope they're as great as they were in the final product and far better than what was shown in the lost levels. No Return is really fun, but now I'm craving more Lost Levels or add-on dlc.
The first game stole my heart and the second one shattered it. Two of the best games I've ever played, I can't wait to see what's next.

The Last of Us Part II: Directors Cut.

I feel TLOU 1&2 like the same game, it is one of the most emotional stories I have been able to play, I love this game.

Oh man, I'm so excited for The Last of Us Part I Remastered
I'm gonna play through the whole story again before I get into the extras. I just finished part 1 remake so I'm ready.
