Great job Jarvis.. I purchased this guitar a few months back. Brand new $750.00. Installed bone saddle, nut, and bridge-pins hoping it would sound better, not expecting much because it already sounded great. WOW ... Glad I did the up-grade. Love you video reviews.
I think the crispy tone you mentioned comes from the elixir nanoweb strings, they're awesome.. Just put them on my Fender CD 60 and now the guitar sounds like one twice the price of it.. Really makes a huge difference. Great review, thank you very much.
If you strum heavy then take the LL16..coz its a bigger body...but if you want the trebles to be crsip yet clear and ringing then its the LS16 or LJ16 which is slightly bigger body.
i know your just improving with chord prog, but u must post that lick off it like a7 or something similar when your finger picking cheers p.s. just to let u know it was after scouring through ur reviews that i finally bought my gpcpa3. thankyou for all ur good work. def has that new modern taylor sound but combined with the unmissable martin tone,
just bought the ls16 yamaha, sounds nice, it's a yamaha. string spacing is a bit tight for finger-style. pls see if you can review an all solid wechter ooo or anything else in there all solid collection. love your channel
If you have not done it yet... Take your time and do your homework when changing saddle/nut. Trust me if you changing the plastic ones to bone on your fg730s , you are not going to need a new guitar for a while.... :)
Hello. Do you remember what strings you used on that one? It's sound is so magnificent when compared to mine even thought mine has bone saddle and nut.
Hey there, Jarvis. Very nice review. It's actually hard to find the L series around my area(in stores), but I finally found one that had the LS16. It's a very nice guitar. However, I'm wondering if the LL16 would suit me better. I do a mix of both fingerstyle and strumming, but mainly strum(light and heavy). I was wondering if you could give some advice on which one I should choose between the two. I would like to try out the LL16 myself to compare, but the shop only has the LS16. Thanks =)
Hi, guitarsaddle, really nice review! Love your channel!! Actually for my budget I was more inclined to get a LS6, how would you recommend between those two, please? BTW, what type of saddle did you upgrade on this guitar? I am not very experienced so I am a bit afraid that I would not be able to do it properly. Maybe I would try out first on my FG730S before I start messing around? What type of tools would you recommend?
man, thanks for your reviews! can you tell, pls, - is LS16 suitable for delicate fingerpicking technique (tapping, pull-off, gliding, overtones, vibrato,..)?
Okay, so, everyone knows that Martin is like the standard by which all AG's are compared. However, just because it has the Martin name doesn't necessarily mean that it it's going to be a better sounding instrument than say, a Yamaha, right? I've seen some reviews on some Yamaha L series guitars that claim it to be better than even Martins in the same price range. So, have you personally compared this guitar to other Martins in the same price range? If so, let me know what you think. Thanks.
hi ....... what is your favorite body???..... dread, medium jumbo or grand auditorium??? ..... in yamaha series fg, lj or ls??? ..... yamaha gfx720sca, fjx720cs or ls6?? are play the yamaha cpx series, what is your opinion (cpx 700)???............. tanks and sorry for my english :)
I've never seen somebody look so happy when they play guitar! Brilliant man! :D
I'm using the FMI saddle on this...fossilized mammoth Ivory saddles..dramatically improves the tone

Nice and detailed review. The guitar got really crisp, clear and beautiful sounds. Amazing. Subscribed!
It's 2024 now and I bought the 16m (ARE).The best 500.00(usd) Guitar made for the price.

It sounds like a professional level guitar, just like you'd hear in a CD.

No have not played that yet..its ok the neck shd be able to take it
The sound is wonderful. I wish I could find it in my country.
if you play mainly fingerstyle then the LS16 is the choice..i would go for that
If you have not done it yet...

17:07 ... that touched my heart man...
Greetings Jarvis......thanks for a great review, I'm deciding between a Taylor 214 G.A.(made in Mexico) and the Yamaha LS16

hi,sir , nice review, what do you think of seagull guitar?
Your right it does look better without the pick-guard..
You have to check with yamaha ...i guess it should be possible
Nice review. What strings did you put on it?
Nice guitar. Thank you Jarvis

I thought these L series use non-scalloped bracing?
Is it possible to get a left handed version of this guitar
Great touch. I love L series. Can you help me remember who wrote the second song that you play?
Thanks a lot
Do you make these saddles? If not, where do you get them from?
I'm torn between this and the sigma 28 model for around the same price any input on comparisons between the both
Where can I get such a saddle? I live now in the Netherlands.
Thanks!
haha. caught u in Peninsula today when was searching for finger picks. Do u know where to buy alaska piks ? thx :)
How would you compare this to the Martin 000X1AE? Which one is best?
At a very good discount or promo price, how much is it approximately?
Strums well for the smaller body of the LL range, but does not have the clarity or depth of the LL16
I wish I could play like him :)
You could and the secret ...Don't tell anyone is pure " Practice" day after day...
I prefer the LS6 out of those you mentioned
Is it me or does it sound kinda high treble??
5:41 what is this song?!
Elixir 12s PB
Tone difference over the ARE model?
ARE is more open tone and way more responsive
This is LS16*M*?
thats great
Just did one review and its loading at this point in time
get the 000-15M...the martin are really better and aged better too
elixir works
you can remove them easily
I would take the Yamaha..over that entry level martin
Is it just me or does dude seem high as hell??
Yep
He’s “high” on Christ. He’s literally this genuine. (I assume, I’ve yet to meet this nice gentleman)
well i took some cocaine that's why!!!!! LOL!!!!
guitarsaddle :)
i just wish i could get one without a pick guard...
