I was so glad I found a tire vid that was NOT Scott and you shout him out and my ears get PST, hahaha! great vid, must think twice now..im i getting the tire for winter..hehe
Thanks Jeff. I really wanted to like it, but it just isn't the same. The treaded tire however is actually really great - grass, gravel, even pavement - I like the feel of the treaded better for all of it.
Good reflexes are necessary!! Luckily it's just wind and rain here. Though, wet leaves suck!! Maybe I'll get treaded next tire. Stay safe bro🙌🏾 I appreciate you're input. I'm on xr by the way...
It's on my mind - but I'm of the thinking that by the time I get my pint all souped up I'll be in it for the cost of the XR - so why not just upgrade? I think that's where I'm headed.
@@MikeErickson I understand that. I actually have both an Pint and an XR. Started with the Pint, just like you. I am lucky enough to get models I can mod the batteries. We have had so many guys ask about winter riding here in Edmonton. Posted this on the group.
@@Tangeffect yeah man, I get it. It really only takes a couple hours max to change over. If you already have the treaded maybe give it a try? The traction is great for winter - you might just need to invest in a battery mod next.
Maybe a little bit, but it wasn't that cold when I first put the tire on. It surprised me for sure but seems to line up with what other reviewers are saying.
I've heard it works well! But the tire was actually a bitch to change - guess i need a second onewheel so i can keep the slick on one. I see no other way...
thanks for your video.. watched many videos about treaded tires and riding in snow but your video is one of less videos who tells the truth, not this "riding in winter is so fun.. blablabla.." like other people say..
The onewheel XR is better in the snow, but the temperature and snow quality makes a huge difference - here's a video I made about that: ruclips.net/video/Ag9v0HCacQg/видео.html
I’m 220 lbs and my pint struggles, I barely get 6 mi range and have to be strategic approaching steep hills. Riding alongside someone lighter it’s obvious the weight is a factor. I love it but can’t wait to get the GT
@@davidbardsley9350 I know a guy lost 75lbs when we had ow+ boards. Have him 30% more range. His health insurance bills halved also! Lighter than me now

Finally an honest review, not a bunch of false hype like some people give just because they get free pints and tires. Great video..thanks!

that sound is trippy at the start 😂
Great video

That looks so sketchy! Lol nice work man!
What about a quart battery? That really is the best of both worlds. Just a thought.

Wow! Thanks so much! You guys up there almost need battery mods just to go down the block in the wintertime! Stay warm - I appreciate you!
We need spiked wheels, then it should work
Yeah, had spiked wheels in my xr this season and it worked pretty ok - not as good as snowboarding, but way cheaper 🤣
So were you able to pump up the treaded tire so that it gets as good a range like how you did with your Burris on the XR?
I was never able to - but I found it got too squirly over 24 psi.
@@MikeErickson I'm hesitant to put my Burris Treaded on my Pint X cus I don't like losing range! I wish it was like the XR when you had the treaded!

I don't think they have the battery mod for the Pint X yet. But yeah, I mean I love the ride already so idk
@@Tangeffect pint X! Oh man, put a treaded on ASAP! Especially if there's any snow there!
You sure battery life was not because of the temperature drop?
Maybe a little bit, but it wasn't that cold when I first put the tire on. It surprised me for sure but seems to line up with what other reviewers are saying.
But likely low temperature that's killing battery range?
Possibly a little bit, but I tested the range before it got too cold - I think it's mostly the tire.
Maybe you can take that tire into a tire shop and get it studded... a REAL Pinantan tire!

Snow/Ice definitely looks sketchy! Stay safe out there man

Yur a bit heavy for a pint lol
I don't think so, I'm well under the weight limit.
@@MikeErickson oh sure the limit but it has poor range already lol

@@redboyjan That would require an amputation or two for me! I was 200 lbs when I was running marathons, I’ll just go with a more powerful board!
