super story. I Have trucked across Southern Idaho many times but never got of I-84 except to go into Twin or Burly and deliver. Now that i know of this place just north of Mt. Home ill plan on going. Thanks Juan. be sure to continue to get the rest you need as this impacts your health a lot.
🤗 BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY, AWESOME DRONE VIDEO, Another TOUCH of the back-country digs, AND the lives of those adventurous persons that KEEP THE FAMILY TRADITIONS for those to follow. THANKS AGAIN JUAN, 👍😍😍😍😍😍
I would like to reiterate to all of you trail bike riders out there: when planning a trip to Idaho. The Smokey Bar area has the largest contiguous trail system in the country, including all connector trails to the west in the Trinity Mountains, and the system to the east toward Sun Valley and Ketchum. Roughly 600 miles of technical single track to keep you busy for quite a while. Please support the Smikey Bar store when possible. Its a huge benefit for us to have these folks here.... thank you.
Juan, it is great to see you exposing your family to so many adventures. You are an example to all young families on how to raise your children. Nothing takes place of spending time with them. 😊👍
JUAN , Hello, what a beautiful area, then that little store in the middle of nowhere, you can get a little of EVERTHING ! What a place, in the family for eons, stay safe my friend,,Cheers from NJ
Keepem' comin JB! Be out there too someday. Right now, I am moving back to New England from China. I miss the clean air and the Presidentials in New Hampshire.
Thanks again and again and ...... There’s a special place many of us will never see or experience, but wait... thanks to you we were able to at least see what were missing. Thanks Juan!!! Motor on...
so many people capitulate on life and living Juan...your passion is 2nd to none....and more importantly ...your way of sharing and the fact you take the time to do so with us is most appreciated. Ride safe my friend
If you are that close already, you ought to run on over to Dismal Swamp and pick yourself up some pretty rocks! But for Pete's sake, stop telling Californians how awesome Idaho is, we will run your silly butt right outta here if you keep that up! ;)
Great shout out to a well deserved business and all the folks up that way! Woohoo Smoky Bar Store! The drone footage adds so much value for sure. Great job!
Damn, Juan. I've got to compliment you on the outstanding job you've done to take advantage of your "unscheduled" time off. You are to be commended for the great places you've chosen to visit. And, oh yeah, the aerial footage at the end of your latest post is superb. Absolutely SUPERB! Take care, my friend. And get well soon.
Juan, great to see you out and about after your latest health situation. Wouldn't expect anything else! Have loved and followed your channel since the beginning of the Oroville crisis. Sending all of our positive energy your way from back here in Kentucky. Hoping the best for you and your family!
JB, I live outside of Denver northwest near what was Rocky Flats nuclear bomb trigger plant. So many cases of prostate, breast, thyroid and pancreatic cancers. I was on the site in the early 80’s. No cancer yet. BPH and other odd symptoms. Geography and genes are both factors. Heal up Cap’n. It’s difficult for men to share such personal health information. Thanks for speaking for all of us.
Hi Juan, Thanks for sharing your adventure from a guy stuck in L.A.. The bird's eye view is great, but I'm sure it so much better in person. Be well! R, Steve
This is a great opportunity to visit southern Idaho as we are not on fire nearly to the extent that we usually are. We took our UTV to the Salmon, ID, area a couple of weeks ago and had a nice time. Glad you are in our neck of the woods. Happy trails and thank you for providing excellent content.
A lot of years have passed but I remember making the trip from Ketchum to Featherville on that road. Beautiful country, thanks for the memory jog. The Trail Creek road from ketchum over to HY 93 is also a beautiful drive.
Don't forget about the hot springs! Warwick and Frenchman. I love riding up in that area, 45 miles from my house in twin falls. Rockybar is my go to central Idaho spot.
I appreciate you taking the time to showcase places like this. Nothing like the mom and pop places. That bed would be amazing after a day on the trail.
Greetings from McCall. Just saw your Burgdorf HS video & was bummed to find out you were only 30 mins away. Would have loved to run up there to share a couple beers & porch stories. Been a fan since the Dam Days. My sincere best wishes for great news in February. Keep sharing your view of the world!!
Thanks for another inside look (no pun intended) at a local resting spot for off-road travelers. Glad to hear it's along the route for the ID BDR, since that's the most-likely first attempt for me in ID. This is similar to what you did for the resting spot in UT, and much appreciated.
This looks SO beautiful and tranquil! I’d love to come on out and just relax but I haven’t been fishing in over 20 years and I don’t hike. I’m not sure if I would fit in!
Travelled past Fairfield going to Boise from Dubois as a short cut for us Canadians What you need to see is The Craters of the Moon Nat Monument where the Volcano is and it is just east of Fairfield Coming Back someday will head up to The Smokey Bar Café for sure
Juan, by this point I baaically give you a thumbs up automatically, before I watch the video lol, because of who you are ! And they are always interesting. That store reminds me of visiting my uncles in rural Lousiana as a kid.
Hi Juan from Sweden! About that runway, here in Sweden we make some of the very best chainsaws in the world. The Husqvarna saws. Even for me, as an amateur, that just makes about 20 cords a year. It won't take long, payment accepted in IPA!!! The very best to you Juan and your family.
Loved that opening montage, the way you integrated stills and video and great music track tying it all together. Oh, heck , I enjoyed the whole production. Your enthusiasm is infectious! Great rapport with Kaylin which, from her great smile, she seemed to really enjoy.
Any place that pays a little homage to Texas is A-#1 with me especially 1 with historical essence. Thanks Juan for sharing this Gem of a Gem with us!👍👍
Thank you for these updates, Juan. I love your channel, always smart, knowledgeable, and approachable at the same time. Enjoy your time off and recharge 👊
Awesome video Juan. My wife and I spent 8 days around Smokey Bar just after the 4th of July. We camped at Bowen, and then up little smokey. That area is my old stomping grounds.
Beautiful place Juan! I started out my teen life as a dirt bike/MX enthusiast and lived to ride! It was my 1st love really, havent rode much in awhile but that place looks like an amazing place to take a dirt bike tour! Thanks fir showing it off for us!
Don C - Same here, I hadnt ridden in 25 years. My Suzuki Rm400 was stolen and returned a mess. With buying a home and raising kids it never took priority. Then I bought a bike and loved it so much I had to restore that old 1978 Suzuki Rm400c molding in the garage. Ive had the most fun in decades. So now I have 3 bikes...got a honda xr650 enduro and a yammy Fz8 too. I highly recommend you get an enduro at least to get out in the forest. You wont regret it. Im 61 by the way.
@@nakedbeachrider8798 Thats so cool to hear! Congratulations! My last bike was a 77 RM 250 that i bought new in 77. I was an Army brat so all during my highschool years we lived at Ft. Hood TX which i could ride my TM 125 out from our patio to a field and go all day! Texas was big on football and MX but i got so much experience at jumping ad wheelies etc (im 63 now btw) and when we moved back to Oregon there were only 2 guys that could really stay up with me then, but man what these kids do on bikes now days is insane! Wheelies and crossups are so tame. I left my old bike stored at my girlfriends, after we broke up they let me keep it there then like you career and home got in way, next thing i knew years had gone by as it molded then her nephew grew up and fixed it up and rode it and by tbe time i found out i just wrote it off as at leadt my bike got some love and he was a great kid so... Now a friend of mine i see is riding something like a 650 enduro type bike on roads and up in the woods and i would love doing that! So we will see. I know i can still ride with far more competence than someone new to bikes as my brother in law has some bijes including a yz 450 that ive rode occassionally, but man i tell you, no where near at the level i once rode at! And thats fir the best! I had moved on to flying paragliders in my 30s eventually having a hard crash that broke all the ribs on my right side and punctured my lung, kept flying after months of recovery but ended up pulling the plug on it, too much is up in the air so to say in that sport, meaning sudden wind changes or weather so i got out and roller bladed until my late 40s. I would absolutly LOVE having a bike exactly like the type you suggested! Im much more cautious now. Thank tou for sharing your experience!!! I hope i can do exactly that!
@@nakedbeachrider8798 A few years ago I bought a Honda XR650, changed a few things so I could ride it on the road. That was the hardest kick-starting bike I ever owned. Got rid of it before it killed me. I'm now 76.
