@@dirkdee9751this kid is slick tho. He got blue belt on the podium @ tap cancer out New Haven and beat my teammate to get gold. He subbed everyone in minutes, he’s gonna be a rising star.
Is a "blue belt" but he has been training since he was a kid kind of blue belt? Unless he's has wrestling experience, I doubt he's been training less than 5 years.
@@Brandon-ob9rgI think you’d be surprised at the quality of the up and coming generation of JJ practitioners, even white belts. With the popularity of the sport, more athletic people joining in, high quality instructionals, the growth is just beginning. Not to mention this kids academy completely swept the competition, including the black belt division. He just is clearly devoting his life to training hard.

This is just a beautiful roll !! JT has textbook toreando passes, an impressive ability to get to headquarters position and dive for guillotines, perfect hip movement, pristine transitions, the eye for seeing submissions during transitions... I mean nothing less is expected from JT Also the other guy did pretty well, I play a similar style with a preference for supine guard, and I think he did pretty well against JT, he just needs some more mat time and he will have a more solid and aggressive guard game, what this guy has been through is my typical experience rolling with seasoned veterans :D Good roll guys! keep it up 👊
I love the way he explodes into submissions. He gets into position but doesn’t make his partner too threatened, then jumps into a guillotine or a d’arce. I really love his passing game too. As a brand new practitioner with a background in judo and a preference for guard passing/wrestling style il gonna dig more on JT for sure
This is what makes you better and what should keep the ego in check. It's about the journey and the loads of 5 minute rounds you've take to get to where you are. Awesome roll.
So this was black Friday? My man looked so comfortable! Putting weight on his leg so that Blondie couldn't attack the leg. Effortlessly using Darces and other basic chokes to set up other submissions. He even had a take down (kind of). Blondie was having a bad black Friday indeed
I personally rolled with JT back in the 90s..back then the only moves we had were the headlock, the reverse headlock etc. Needless to say, headlocking this dude was one of the highlights of my career. Sometimes I think back on how I could of been up there with him on camera, however my family had to come first, unlike this guy whose only family is the 5 submissions in this video.
This guy just got his blue belt a few months ago. It’s impressive he even did this well rolling with JT, give him some props
Exactly! I really enjoyed the video and technique but one can clearly see that they are on different levels.

LOVE the fact the training partner immediately comes back for more after every sub. 👍
Yeah. Why wouldn’t he?
I could watch JT roll all day. I absolutely love his style.

JT just breaking out the full arsenal against this poor guy.
The pass at 0:50 - 1:02 !
His timing, technique and precision are awesome.
Love his Jiu jitsu.
JT footwork is the best I've seen. He pummels his legs while passing like no one else
Effortless and insane pressure as always with JT. Awesome roll
The music is lit. Music hits different when rolling. Sheesh
more JT plz

Yeah, when I roll with Ethan I tap him 6 times. Good starting place for JT though.

He probably has a family himself lol.
90s? He was like less than 10year old that time? Btw a lot of pro grapplers/fighters got families themselves
what a weird fuckin comment pal
Dude, JT Torres was born on 1989. He started training BJJ in the mid-2000. You should stop lying and embarrassing yourself.
Sure thing buddy, It sounds like you've never rolled with anybody.
