Peacock has very limited night vision..all the bird that roost at night are helpless in dark.So peacock alarm calls are mostly based on their hearing,which is excellent. Peacock calling at night doesn't mran that it is tiger or leopard around.Peacocks gives warning call on mangoose ,cats and jackals also.
