The Chinese government supports those who do this kind of thing. Hard to do something at all.
Last year, a sichuan delegate to the government has brought up the issue of animal abuse and there might be more done for these cats, but I'm not sure what would happen to the clan, they might be forced to disband or maybe they'll just move their operations to other countries like Vietnam, where dogs are still eaten for some reason.

It’s one thing eating them. They’re still *technically* wild animals, so I wouldn’t say that’s terrible (though ofc I’m American and would never harm one of those babies) but TORTURING THEM BY SUFFOCATING THEM, BURNING THEM, ETC IS UNACCEPTABLE.
Eating them is also unnatural. We are technically wild animals if you are going by that motto. They are domesticated, not wild. Eating something actually meant to be wild like a lion is different, sure, but how often do you see other carnivores deliberately hunt another carnivore for food? Pretty much never yeah? Usually when they do, usually it is for the purpose of eliminating rival young.
